#1 - This A+ list aging, but still gorgeous supermodel has donated every penny she has made in the past 20 years to charity. It amounts to nearly $10M.
#2 - This model is A+ list and surprisingly young for the amount of time she has been in the public eye. A great name and a great giver. She paid for an apartment building and had it remodeled and converted it into a shelter for battered women which can house 20 women and their kids.
#3 - This almost A list foreign born male singer from a very famous family has spent almost $1M in the past year financing a job training center where teenagers who have been forced to work the streets as hookers or been homeless can learn skills to get them jobs and a way out.

Exactly, she took advantage of her situation. There are plenty of too rich celebs that could do the same but don't.

The figure could be higher, I don't take these things as gospel.
Iman had money before Bowie. Bowie had to restructure his own finances a couple of years ago with the "Bowie Bonds" deal.
Delete$10 million is a lot of money to give to a charity . Iman gives and keeps it on the DL unlike a lot of fucking celebrities who give and ensure everyone knows about it do to distract from their public shortcomings.
It's an act of charity not an obligation.

I love this! And they obviously do not do it for the publicity. I hate seeing celebrities volunteering at a soup kitchen at Christmas, with a Santa hat on, posing for the camera. If they did it at a random time of year then maybe it'd say something about their character.

ReplyDeleteI must say I'm not surprised about Enrique Iglesias. He seems to be someone who knows hookers a lot and, even is he is probably in favor of LEGAL prostitution, forced one is something that someone like him would despise most (way more than normal people, who hate it, but don't think of it as the worst thing ever. I hope I have explained myself, but I don't know). He and his family are a lot eager to kindness things like this, and always blind item worthy.

That's like she's only earning 500k a year over 20 years and even if she were just a figurehead, her name is worth a hell of a lot more than just 500k a year! And we're talking full cosmetic line and clothing and accessories here.

Maybe she just donated her modeling money and not money from other ventures.

To this very day, I also still wish they had cast Iman as Storm and not Halle Berry. Iman would've been the perfect Storm.
