Blind Item #8

This long long time B list range actress who does television now, but made her fame in movies, got cast in a almost network show. After being cast, she left abruptly. The reason given was because she got another show. She did get another show, a network one, but only after she called in lots of favors to get it and get her off her current show because one of her B- list mostly movies co-star would not harassing her and the producers said she just needed to get along with him. This is also her first time appearing in any blind.

  1. I was thinking Jessica Lange but the rating doesn't really fit. I mean, the woman has 2 Oscars.

  2. Krystan Ritter and Giancarlo Esposito---Breaking Bad.

    I'm KIDDING!

As a BB fanatic, I am begging tv-god's forgiveness as we type.

  6. Rules of Engagement has been cancelled, so Sarah was out of a job anyway.

  7. Cathy--It kinda could fit (except I KNOW KR's character left on purpose, duh)....BUT my sweet, lovely Giancarlo--- You can just tell he's a good guy IRL. Probably what made his acting as Fring so perfect. Sexy dude, IDC how old he gets.

    1. VIP - interesting but I have only seen her on tv shows. Did she first get her 'fame' in movies??

    2. @Texas No idea, and not the right fit for this blind, just stumbled upon the news while I was looking. Also, Joe Carroll will be back in season 2. The plot thickens!

    3. I think Natalie is mostly TV. She's also recurring on the brilliant and criminally underwatched Justified.

I hated the Following but so many people seemed to like it.

    4. VIP, please don't be wrong on any of your guesses. It upsets my world.

  12. Sorry, but the bad grammar in that post entranced me and I can't focus on the blind.

  15. Never heard of Natalie Zea until just now

  16. Megan Goode left Californication---with Horn Dog Duchovony to do Deception---thats my guess

  17. It said she was cast and then left abruptly, which leads me to believe she never appeared on the first show. Beyond that, I got nothing.

    1. To me yes. It's the oldest and most famous non network station.

  19. How about Nancy Travis leaving Hart of Dixie on the CW for that Tim Allen show? B Lister could be Tim Matheson?

  20. Ding, ding, ding--I like @danijd's guess.

  21. Someone suggest to Enty to start using 'network' or 'non-network' as his terms, so we can get blinds about internet-only shows too. Please?

He can further slice-n-dice to make it easier, at his discretion: 'Basic cable', 'wannabe network', 'premium cable', etc.

I'd mention this to Enty myself, but I've insulted this one too much today; I think we're on the outs.

  22. ("Orange is the New Black"..."House of Cards"....anyone...anyone?)

  23. @libby - YESSSSS! I've already watched all of OITNB and most of House of Cards. Discuss!!!

  24. P.S. - I feel like with the cast of OITNB, there must be blind-worthy events every damn day of filming.

  25. Nancy Travis is the kiss of death to any sitcom.

  26. But it says LONG LONG time B list range actress, which makes me think someone older than most of these women. I don't have a guess though.

  27. The first thing to spring to mind when I read the first two sentences was that Genevieve Bujold / Janeway / Star Trek: Voyager fiasco, but "another show" was not the reason she left, and that happened in 1994.

  28. MGH on Newsroom? She's in a show that just got picked - Trophy Wife

  29. Anna Paquins been in movies for 20 years I read this as her but not sure if she was cast in another show before true blood

  30. TONI Collette maybe because she has a show on Cbs this fall

  31. Kathy Bates (I would describe her A list though)
    or maybe
    Pam Grier?

  32. What about Anger Management. I don't watch Charlie, despite his ability to charm and smarm, I know he's 14kt gold asshole. Is it Selma, did she land another job?

    ReplyDelete
  33. What about Rachel Griffiths? She fits everything and is in a new summer series "Camp"

  34. Doesn't "almost network" usually always mean The CW. It's usually "cable show" if it's anything on HBO or Showtime or AMC, etc...

It looks like it was the CW show guy who was harassing her which made her call in favors to get on a network show.

I think Danijd's Nancy Travis guess makes sense. And good for her for getting away from a bad situation and not playing nice just for the sake of it. No one should have to put up with that. I met her back in my brief, bygone actress days and she seems like a very nice and together person.
