Blind Item #5
This B-/C+ list mostly television actress who does not have a show right now and used to be a has been reality star has been offered $1M from Playboy to pose for them which is the most they have offered in a long time. Our actress/reality star is balking despite the fact she has not made that much combined over the past five years because she thinks it will hurt her acting chances. She did not use the word craft, but I know she was thinking it. No one thinks of her as a good actress anyway so it won't matter, but she is convinced she can make it out with going nude. Unless it is crucial to the role or something.

Doesn't Denise already have her hands full with the kids? I think of her as mostly movie, Starship Troopers, Wild Things, etc., though.

ReplyDeleteAlthough, I have a hard time believing Playboy would offer her a mil. To offer that much, it would have to be someone that folks REALLY want to see. Seems like the girls who fall into that category are ones who seem more reserved, or who were also teen heartthrobs.

ReplyDelete@Stephen Strepsi - I don't think Lisa Rinna takes herself seriously enough to call it the 'craft.' For someone lampooned so heavily over the years, I got the impression that she was a fairly decent person with a good sense of humour about herself.

ReplyDeleteFor these celebs who pose for playboy, has it ever actually helped anyone's career? I can't think of one instance where it has. Sure, it'll raise someone's profile during the one month that it's on stands but that's pretty much it.
ReplyDelete@stigs84, it may or may not help, but it usually doesn't kill a career and a million is nothing to sneeze at.
ReplyDeleteVanessa Williams comes to mind. The photos were published without her consent and she was dethroned as Miss America, but her career is arguably more successful that that of Suzette Charles (replacement Miss America).
