Alec Baldwin Would Love To Quit Acting

Remember how Alec Baldwin quite Twitter. No, not this week. No, not the time a month ago. No, not even the time three months ago. I think it was eight or nine times ago when he quit. Yeah, I remember that one too. Remember the time that Alec Baldwin said he was leaving the country and moving away forever if George Bush was elected President? Yeah, That didn't happen either. Alec now says that he would love to quit acting. Is anyone stopping him? I don't see signs begging him to stay. He has made millions and it does not cost that much to make sure his less successful brothers don't go to the poor house. I hate when celebrities say they would love to quit acting, but then don't. Who is making him act? His ego is making him act. If he did not act, then he would not get as much attention. He would not have people following him around. He would become irrelevant. That is why he won't quit acting. Go do something else. Try your hand at anger management counseling or photography.

  1. Would he still host SNL if he quit acting? I like him on SNL.

  2. Would LOVE to see him dissappear off the face of the Earth, don't need to ever see this POS again!

  3. Read a really interesting piece last night comparing his tirade on Twitter to the Paula Deen situation. Honestly, this guy comes off as such a prick in so many instances, he should be praising the Lord that he is still relevant. I gave 30 Rock a go a few times, but I just don't see the appeal. He seems like he has a lot of anger.

  4. Here's the article I was just talking about. It's kinda long. I need coffee and have no idea how to make it clicky. Apologies:

  5. Even though he is a pos he is active in the Creative Coalition so he has a voice he wants to be heard on things. I can do w/o the acting and all the other crap. If he didn't act he'd probably run for office--better he stays acting.

  6. I think I've finally convinced myself Alec Baldwin and Jack Donaghy are two completely different people. I think it's that stupid Joe Simpson haircut he has. I could give two shits about Alec, quit, don't quit, I don't care you're an ass. As long as I have Jack in 30 Rock re runs I'm fine.

  7. The money from those stupid Capital One commercials is all donated to the arts (NY Philharmonic, Lincoln Center, and others). Cut the guy some slack.

  8. All right, he gives the money he earns to his friends in order to have publicity. Let's worship him and let him kill somebody, threaten anyone and use words that would kill any non ultra liberal person.

He could run for office and win, rahm, jesse jackson, al shrapton and all those dipshits have won and are the same as he is.

I want him to be paid by the government too, for he is a liberal and therefore a god who knows everything.

  9. Alec reminds me of that uncle that you love, but is kind of homophobic and racist and you get into a lot of heated political debates with, but he is still fun to have at family get togethers because he is the only one who doesn't buy into the fake everybody is happy thing. You can sit there and make fun of everybody in the family with him and he makes you laugh and you have drinking contests.

I just can't quit Uncle Alec.

  10. The double standards regarding Paula Deen and Alec Baldwin are disgusting. If Paula Deen is taken to task over something said 25 years ago, how about the media revisit Jesse Jackson calling NYC Hymietown. Sorry, I forgot that blacks are held to lower standards due to Affirmative Action, etc.

  12. He's a talented actor, but there are tons of talented actors, so if he doesn't want to act anymore, that is fine with me.

I think he should cancel his internet and go live at the beach or something.

  14. He's been telling anyone who'll listen how much he and the wife hate New York....
Well Alec hope you have a really good pre-nup because if you quite the business she won't need you any more...

  16. raja- If Anthony Weiner can run, ANYTHING is possible.

This world we live in is SO fucked up, and it always seems to me that the men who are vile - Tiger Woods, Roman Polanski, Charlie Sheen, Alec Baldwin - are given second chances in a snap, but women, well we just must all be bitches.

And the more I read about this Paula Deen situation, the more it seems to me is that her brother is a No. 1 asshole who did 95 percent of the alleged wrongs. But NO ONE is talking about that.

    1. Roman Polanski RAPED A CHILD and ran away to
Avoid conviction. I really don't think you can compare rape to being a massive prick.

  17. I'm not saying the wrongs are in the same category, I'm saying that at this moment in time a person is more likely to sing the praises of Roman Polanski or Alec Baldwin than they are for Paula Deen.

And isn't it ironic that one of the biggest defenses of Roman Polanski was, "oh, those sexual assaults happened years ago." That defense with Paula Deen using the n-word - a WORD - doesn't seem to fly.

These are just my opinions based on all the controversies as of late. It makes me reflect on a lot of things that have happened in our world. Sorry if my thoughts offend you.

  20. Its amazing the shit Paula Deen is taking, as a almost 70- year old southern woman for saying the N word 30 years ago, Yet Alec Baldwin says something like that every 3 months and doesn't lose a single endorsement. Hypocrisy among liberals is so prevalent, it's funny at this point. Pathetic, but funny.

And for the record I don't care what either of them says about anyone bc we all say dumb stuff, its just the difference in reaction that kills me.

  21. Kermit: "al shrapton" has never held office in the US.

Why Alex gotta be all assholey? I like that he does support the arts but he just doesn't like being famous apparently. Go ahead and work behind the scenes Alex.

he needs to stack up for that ireland rehab stint. Hes not a bad actor actually

  23. Really, if he wants to quit, do it! I dont get that either.

  24. I just love the hypocrisy of the left. Alec can say all of the racist homophobic crap he wants, 'cause, well, he contributes to the right causes. Bwahahaha! You are such a bunch of lying, hypocritical dipshits.

  25. I believe that Alec Baldwin gets a pass and Paula Deen doesn't because Alec Baldwin has genuine talent and Paula Deen does not. I'm not trying to excuse AB's assholery, just explain it. In the interest of full disclosure, I admit that I will always love Jack Donaghy. And it's like Annie Hall said - Alec doesn't go around pretending like everything is hunky-dory; he sees things for what they are and calls them. He's surprisingly lacking in insight about himself, but I can at least respect him in all his arrogant glory.
