Shailene Woodley Cut From 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - No Mary Jane Watson

Shailene Woodley had shot several scenes for Spider-Man 2 and then the director said she would not be needed any longer as he didn't want Mary Jane Watson in the second film. Marc Webb said he wanted to focus on Emma Stone's character so just cut Shailene out completely. Even though he says she will be back for the third installment. I wonder if that is true or not and wonder whether Shailene did something that got her booted from the movie. When you are paying someone whether they work or not, you usually want to have them in the movie, especially considering it is Mary Jane. Shailene says that she understands and is looking forward to the third installment where her character will be introduced. Probably.
