I am not a fat shamer (being obese meself) but she should not he wearing such a short dress. She is GORGEOUS and if dressed right could be a fashion icon in no time at all.
DeleteBut pretending you have the body of a 12 year old model and dressing that way does not make it so. If I was her mom I woukd never let her wear something that short. I would never let ANY child under age 18 wear anything that short. I have enough history & experience to know what poor srlf esteem looks like and that is IT in a nutshell.

I was a teenager with huge thighs. It never felt good when people felt the need to point that out. I lost 70 lbs when I was 18 but I've never lost my fat kid insecurity about my thighs. Even at a size 3 ..
This somehow makes Jared Leto even sexier. I don't understand his abundance of good looks and youth. He is perfect.

Christina Aguilera when she is heavier and drunker comes to mind. But she sings too well and isn't really a comedienne. Burlesque didn't stink and she did a wonderful job with many of the set pieces. She has range.
Who else could do that unbelievably sexy and salacious innocence? Is Amy Adams good enough to rock the part?
Hmmm. Who is gorgeous, Latinsexy, musical, and old enough to play the guy who snags the Joe E. Brown billionaire guy in the end? Ricky Martin could work it. Is there anyone else pretty enough but also manly enough to be hilarious and believable as a cross dresser in crisis?
But who could POSSIBLY top Joe E. Brown? No one EVER. But if the remake blasphemy of trying a do over of this sacred cinematic nirvana were to be committed? Possibly Bill Murray or Jim Carrey?

Bevause she is a young girl wearing a dress that is too short and highlights her legs. That is what is front and center. If she was wraring something age and body appropriate there woukd be not a blink of an eye. The last photo op went over fine. She was wearing something a bit more suitable. Not great, just not exposing more of her than anyone wants to see.
DeleteFor instance, though I cannot stand that Reese W. is dragging her kids in front of the paps, her daughter, who is about the same age, is wearing clothes that cover her up in the appropriate settings.
Ella is just too young to he wearing a dress that short. And the stockings emphasize her size. Not flattering, no matter how old or young. Shrug.

DeleteJohn and Ella look wonderful. I've always suspected he'd like to blow but it's the kids who kept him in. I think Ella's dress is lovely but the bratwurst casing tights are one of those clothing items I despise.

How about we stop the fat-shaming of underage teens who are not offering up their lives to the public for fane and gain? She didn't choose her parents, she's stuck with a famous dad who gets pics taken just going out to dinner with his daughter. Hard enough to be overweight at any age.

ReplyDeleteNot saying one should. It is just that Jared looks so awesome in that photo and made me think of Jack Lemmon. My mind is trying to do backflips lately due to stress so I am just running with it. Kind of distracting myself, ya see? Fun to think of recasting the movie though a remake of one of the funniest movies ever is also just about the worst idea ever, as I note.

ReplyDeleteEither way, you're evaluating her looks. She's 13!! I hope she has loftier goals than being a fucking "fashion icon." I hope she doesn't give a shit what she wears, much less if it's "flattering." My hope for her is that she escapes that cult.

She is a child of Hollywood, and since her dad is now dragging her into the spotlight it would be nice if her mom provided some guidance as to what is appropriate.
