Lil Wayne Says Flag Trampling Was An Accident

Even though no one believes him, especially in light of the lyrics of the video he was shooting, Lil' Wayne went into serious damage control mode yesterday after still photos from the music video he was shooting showed him trampling an American flag. I think he thought no one would notice or no one would care and that he was making an artistic statement. I think everyone would believe him if he limited himself to the first step. However, he kept walking all over it and must have known it was there.

  1. The whole idea of that creature's making an "artistic statement" is ludicrous.

  2. Such a vile little gremlin. What he said about Emmett Till made me want to punch him in his grill.

  5. I know that some people get really worked up about their flag. Should they, though? I mean, personally I'm a whole lot more than just where I was born. And if someone else doesn't like my country, well, I don't really get it, but I don't actually *care*. It just doesn't affect my life in any way, you know?

  6. All he gotta say is "the sizzurp made me do it" and all will be well.

If I were him, I'd blame sizzurp on that horrible air guitar shit I seen him do on tv. I was wishin for the Honky Tonk Man to bumb rush the stage and smash the friggin guitar over his head.

  7. He's vile, but even vile Americans have the same Constitutional rights we all do.

  8. Im not a patiotic person at all, I dont own a flag nor do I salute it. I also don't disrespect it.

Wayne is a total idiot. From his Emmett Till comments to this. Everything he does and says is ridiculous. Thank goodness he'll be "retiring" after his next album.

  9. Yeah, unfortunately you have the constitutional right to be an asshole. Looked to me like a desperate bid for attention. Is his fame slipping? I don't follow this pig.

    ReplyDelete
  10. He's an asshole but honestly that flag is an even bigger symbol of assholeness. America created Lil Wayne. The black men of America should be pissing on that flag. What has this country given us blacks? What Muhammad ali said about Vietnam rings even more true today. I will not defend a country that doesn't care about me. Point blank period. I am in college trying to make something of myself and the government has only made that process HARDER. Why do I feel worthless with a damn college degree?!

Lil Wayne is still disgusting though. He is the product of America's fucked up treatment and marginialization of people of color and YET he continues to relish in the identity they made for him. The very definition of a coon (sorry, i had to take it there.)

    1. Kels, I hope you are making plans to emigrate to another country that will give you the respect you deserve.

    2. Thank you. I am currently just trying to make sure I can have peace WHEREVER I go. I shouldn't have to move and speak down a country that has done many wonderful things- just not anything that has ever benefited me personally. I will be happy no matter where I am!

  11. The flag fell behind him and he stepped on it. So.

I've seen worse happen to the flag. its been burned, worn as a diaper..... worse can happen.

This is a non-story in my opinion. Is this level of bull more important than NSA wiretaps? Exactly, it isn't.

  12. I read on another forum that he is "seductive" in person, from someone who supposedly met him in a club. A second person concurred. I never would've thought that word could be associated w lil Wayne, so i found it a bit intriguing. I guess that's why he has so many baby mamas... ;)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Exactly Kitty. Let's direct our ire to something that's really important. Welcome to the state of paranoia.

And was he playing at a block party and lip syncing? Where the hell is he in this video. Looks like the most pathetic concert ever. Oh and his music sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  14. A man's gotta make that paper to pay all his baby mamas.

There are SO many other things to worry about that are MUCH more important than some troll stomping on the flag. Especially as the government that flag represents is taking away the rights of it's citizens. What happened to needing warrant to wire tap people? What happened to the right to personal body space at the airport? ect... I'll get off my soap box now before I get in trouble.

  15. This reminds me of an old Saturday Night Live skit with Chris Rock, where he played Luther of 2 Live Crew, which was scandalizing back in its day, around the early 90s or so. Someone mentioned his right to develop his talent, and Rock/Luther said "What talent? I haven't got any talent! Controversy is all I have!"

@Don'tRainOnMyPrada You know who else is supposedly very magnetic in person? George W. Bush. I know people who hate his politics but say he is extremely charming and charismatic face-to-face.

@Kels, you're perfectly within your rights to hate the US, but really, try Europe sometime. People of African descent have absolutely zero rights here, and the Europeans are often openly racist. There are no prominent businesspeople or politicians in any European country to my knowledge.

Or Africa, where I have lived briefly and which is an incredibly beautiful place and home to many kind people. Yet those same people are incredibly unkind to each other based on tribal and ethnic affiliations.

So, point blank period, piss all you want on the US flag, but see if you can find a place that loves you more. If you can find that place, good for you.

    1. I have actually found that place. Its called ME. I have given up on trying to compare this part of the world to other cause frankly this whole place sucks major dick. And in Europe, I actually felt more beautiful and appreciated but I also felt like a sex object. France loves black women- but for sex mostly. A la Josephine Baker.
And In Africa, I am shunned for having the oppressors blood in me. Shunned for not being pure.
      It all sucks.

      Delete
    2. Oppressors' blood?

Some Black intellectuals therorized that the reason Blackfolks act they way do is because if that white blood in them. It taints our thinking, values and moral fiber .

  16. Not to be super sensitive here but hearing white people say baby mamas makes me cringe. Like crawling in my skin uncomfortable. Baby mama. I hate that term.
Why can't we ever call them single parents? Baby mama is so degrading...
But this is not the correct place to voice this opinion. Yall hve no idea what im talkin about anyways. Carry on.

    1. I think because whitefolks sound sarcastic when they're saying it. There's an undertone of laughing at you. There's nothing dignified about being a babymomma. It just means you're not good enough to marry and you weren't good enough to carry my kid either but shit had to happen .

  19. @Kels: With that body you described in the other thread, I imagine you get treated as a sex object everywhere. Use that to your advantage.

  20. @kels

Maybe I'm reading too much into what your saying, but you seem to really hate white people. It's a shame really. Most white folks (I think) see rascism as out dated and a horrible thing. We can't change the past, only learn from it and move forward.

    1. I love all people. I never mentioned white people at all, just America. If you noticed, I called Lil Wayne a COON. So stop the assumptions please. Perhaps that is your gulit talking.

    2. Well I did with baby mama comment but yeah I don't hate anyone lol its just a truth.

I hate the people who act as if we have come so far....jails are just new forms of slavery. Check the 14th amendment, you'll see.

      Delete
  21. Big deal. I personally find it more offensive that the flag is used as clothing (you can buy flag thongs, FFS) and that it is used in sale promotions. Every car lot in the country cheapens the flag by using it to tout merchandise.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I heard that the song he's singing, while stepping on the American flag, bashes the U.S.

He can always move to another country if he hates and disrespects the U.S. so much. No one is forcing him to stay here. Go...please. Do the U.S. a favor and leave before we step on you.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Kels...what has America given you? A black president, that's what. If there's anything keeping you down, it's only you. If you're feeling like a suppressed black man, you need to sit down with people like Oprah, Jay-Z and Obama. They'll tell you what you can go do with your lazy, suppressed, ignorant ass. Better yet...why don't you move to another country. One that will treat you better. Obviously America isn't the place for you. It's holding you back and telling you that you actually have to get off your ass and work to make something of yourself.

    1. Nothing is holding me back. I have my degree And I will join the ranks of my fellow African Americans in SUCCESS. But myself and the people you mentioned are EXCEPTIONS and if you don't see that, I feel sorry for you. I have two jobs. My mom has never been on welfare nor has she asked for any help from my dad. Get off my ass and work? Been doing that since I was FOURTEEN. Never been unemployed. And yet I am $40,000 in debt from education. Everyday my bf walks down the street, he has to worry about racial profiling. There are literally things he's afraid to do simply be cause of how America treats its black men. He recently graduated ON TIME and has two jobs as well, but he can't walk down the fucking street without fear of being arrested.
Perhaps I should get off my ass and do something about people like you who seem to ignore the struggles and hardships faced by not only blacks, but impoverished people everywhere of all colors.

      Anerica the fuckin beautiful right?!

    3. Other things America has given Blackfolks in compensation:

      Kim Kardashian

Rich Black Athletes the access to marry Whitegirls without scrutiny ..... Especially those white women who got passed over by Brady/Romo/Tebow

Seriously, a lotta whitefolks think Blacks should be happy they were brought from Africa.
      I.kid.you.not.

  24. All you need to know about the state of America right now is that more people are upset about the treatment of a colored piece of cloth than the NSA's attack on the 4th amendment. What priorities.

    1. Some things you get away as a Democrat than as a Republican . I really think the Rep can get more things done with a Dem in the White House than another Republican.

I've seen black mayors with a majority black populated city push for new stadiums, legalized gaming, etc
But the folks who benefit tend to be the white powers brokers charging the high parking fees , selling corporate suites and own all rental property in the area.

  36. lil wayne is an ass and deserves despise, and I'm not even American.

A lot of people say that they have Asperger because they are just douches and, as there is no physical sympton (it's no flu, measles or whatever), the doctor just imagines there is it according to his/her/its thoughts, but it's not more scientifical than foreseen the future. This is probably kels' case. That commenter is some attention whore with self steem issues.

-Baby mama: She spread her legs in front of some guy, maybe in exchange for drugs, or just idiocy.

-"I am rich and successful": Obvious self steem issues to compensate her ignorance, lack of self control and ludicrousness.

-"European and other French people look at me as if I were a sex symbol": European and specially French, Italian and Spaniards see ALL women with lust. They (we) see an unknown chick as a hole where we can stick it. You are not gorgeous, you are just a pussy to penetrate.

-"I have the blood of the oppressors": Do you have the blood of the tribes who sold their own people to slave traders in exchange for help in their many wars or glass?
