Kathryn Fiore Metts Her Daughter

Actress Kathryn Fiore gave birth to her daughter last month. Sunday, Kathryn was released from the hospital and finally got to meet her daughter for the first time. While giving birth to her daughter, the actress who starred in Wedding Band and MI3 suffered complete organ failure and at several points, she was expected to die. She will still need to go to the hospital everyday for treatment and have 24 hour care at home, but at least for now she gets to spend time with her daughter.

  1. I have no idea who she is (although, I'm very happy for her,) but I love her hubby, Gabriel Tigerman (and not just for his cool last name.)

  3. Wedding Band was a fun show, aside from the fact BAG was the star.

Hope she and the baby make a full recovery. Best wishes to the family.

  4. Best of luck to them for a fully and healthy recovery.

And honestly at first I thought the title meant her daughter became the first Met player. Now that would of been ground breaking news.

  5. It was C-section gone wrong :( C-section's are so common that many forget that's it's still a major abdomimal surgery...as with any surgery it's very high risk. Thank God she made it through and will be able to start her life again with her little girl <3

  9. @ Jessica, I also read somewhere that she had some type of rare blood disease/condition that no one knew about until her organs started failing. Unfortunately I can't cite the source because it was awhile ago. Daily Mail, maybe?

Anyway, I love Wedding Band and the character she plays in it. I was hoping she would get more screen time next season. I know she has a long way to go with her recovery, but this is fantastic news.

  11. @ Lucy, unfortunately the show was canceled right after the season ended.

  12. @lucy, that would make sense. From what I understand, there was some kind of bad reaction and she basically lost almost all of her blood. Surgery terrifies me!

  13. I almost died during my daughter's birth. 10 pints of blood and 6 days in the hospital followed by 6 months of recovery.
I'd do it all over again to have her. There's that moment when you think "let anything happen to me - just let her live and be healthy."
My heart goes out to them both. Just glad she's another mom who beat the odds there. May they both live long and happy lives!

  14. @ momster, That figures. I guess I assumed expectations were low/non-existent because of the time slot. TBS should rename itself "the big bang theory rerun channel."

@mala. Glad you and your daughter made it through. Childbirth seems so routine, but in reality it can be so complicated.
