Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux Wedding Postponed Due To Work Commitments

I'm not sure you know this or not, but Nevada is not the only place you can get married instantly. There is another state that I know of for sure. It is California. Currently this is the state that is home to Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. So, when you see Kneepads this week and you see the couple had everything in their wedding planned including dresses and food and reception and everything else but are going to postpone because they are just too darn busy with work, you have to wonder what's up? You could choose to believe as I do, that they are already married. You could choose to believe she is still holding out for Brad Pitt to come back. What you should believe is there are a lot of dumb people in the world who are apparently willing to give Jennifer Aniston a lot of money to make some more really bad movies to keep her busy. What you should also believe is that if they wanted to get married, they could get married.

  1. Are marriage records public? If so it would be plastered everywhere that she is already married...

  2. She's totes busy with her giant Aveeno® windfall. Those crow's feet can't lube themselves. Duh.

  3. ...because movies that suck (such as Office Space, Marley and Me and Horrible Bosses) never existed.

    Try harder.

  4. AND it's in kneepads---Probably written BY Justin (the writer).

  5. Meh. Why should they get married, unless they want to have kids together (and I doubt Jen wants that). If they are happy being engaged and together, let them be happy. I just wish they wouldn't be secretive about it and would come out with their real motivations.

Oh, and a wedding *does* take a lot of time to plan, even if you have wedding planners. They probably want to go away for a honeymoon -- that takes time. Doing all the details and supervising things takes a lot of time. I quit my job 3 months ago (hated the job!) to focus on my wedding, and that was the *best* thing. I can meet people in the middle of the day and still have "me time" fit in around the errands & crafty projects.

    1. Have a fabulous time of it Seachica! Weddings can be so awesome. I got a magical wedding but paid the price on the honeymoon. Sooo exhausted. Bridezilla did not come close to covering that tale of woe... but the wedding was truly lovely so i have SOME good memories to look back on. 14 years in July. Hangin' in there...

    2. Whoops. Forgot the relevant point-I coordinated my wedding from another city, working three freelance gigs, and recovering frim an auto collision. It was quite a little challenge and I am amazed we all survived. I am so so glad you have the ability to take time off to do what you need. You will look back with such pleasure. I know I do regardless of the level of difficulty. Mazel tov!!

  6. Bacon Ranch - I hope you aren't trying to say that Office Space sucked. Maybe I didn't understand your comment.

  8. Office space is too f'n funny! As far as jen getting married or not married, who cares, B-/C+ actress.

  9. Office Space is one of the best movies ever. Why does everyone hate on Jennifer Aniston?

  10. Horrible Bosses didnt suck either. Honestly, I used to hate JA, but then I realized I loved her in Office Space, loved her in Along Came Polly, Loved her in Horrible Bosses and The Breakup. She is by no means a oscar contender, but she is good at the genre she typically does.

Also, I sat down to dinner with a friend who is a lawyer with her own law firm. She does not have much time on her hands and recently got married. Took her 6 months to plan a big wedding and specifically said "unless you absolutely NEED a certain date, all this nonesense about it being hard to plan a wedding is ridiculous bc people like to make more work for themselves, and they focus on the wrong things". My thing is, if you want to be married to someone, it shouldnt matter what color your table clothes are or if the silverware is correct. If they wanted to be married they would be, or they are, esp since it is a second wedding for her.

  11. Her PR people really need to come up with something new. The possibly getting married and possibly being pregnant story lines have gotten nauseatingly stale.

  12. Personally, I believe a marriage commitment is more important than one day, so yes, it is possible to get married without six months of wedding prep. Maybe I'm just not girlie, never had the childhood dream of a big wedding. :-)

However, for Jennifer Aniston, prob no way she would get married without a big do, even the second time around.

    I love Office Space! lol

  13. OFFICE SPACE RULES! And yeah, Horrible Bosses was pretty good too (but let's be honest, people, she wasn't the star or heavily featured in either of them). JA absolutely could get married if she really wanted to. She also could have had kids with Brad if she'd really wanted to (whether by carrying them or otherwise). What I object to is her never-ending stream of lying about it all.

  14. I can't resist commenting here that Aniston has to have been one of the most successful actress in history when it comes to keeping her name (and photos) in the news, given that since "Friends" ended, as far as I know every single thing she's done has been a complete bomb.

    1. No. Her films have made money. Box Office Mojo would likely indicate her as one of the top money making women actors of all time. There is no one else, besides AJP and maybe Julia Roberts in her heyday, who can get anywhere near her level of monetary success. It is just that she is so transparently lacking in depth. Or interest in expanding her range, which she has proven she has. No courage, little curiousity. No one can tell me she doesn't have the money and tge power to fund some truly awesome indy flucks. Her tiny little efforts at directing are just so fluffy. She is a lazy betch. That is all.

  15. Office Space was great. She was also very good in the Good Girl.

    1. She was generic in Office Space and surprisingly good in The Good Girl. She has something but has been really realy lazy about trying new things. Which is why people have ended up disliking her. She seems to prefer PR moves, drinking, smoking, tanning, and vacationing rather than actually taking advantage of her god given talent, wealth, and incredible good fortune.

It leaves a nasty taste in my mouth that she even ONCE reacts to Brad Pitt's incredible tone deafness and loose lips. She behaves in an immature, touchy way and lives a truly self indulgent life. As much as I despise Angelina Jolie, she has bothered herself with the state of the world and has spoken up.

Jennifer is simply a boring blob and a rapidly aging cheerleader beauty queen has been. Blech.

  16. @Just Another Or lady. Yes, thats what she said. Here in NY it is common for people to spend at least a year. My friend with her busy schedule had no problem with 6 months, and she got the date she wanted out on Long Island. So many people focus on the day, they forget that its really about the rest of your life with another person. If only people put as much effort into keeping their marriage healthy as they did to planning the single day it took to get it done.

    CeeKay,

She wasn't heavily featured in horrible bosses, but I thought she was so good that I wish she had a larger part!

  17. Office Space was awesome but her part was the typical bland girlfriend role. She was really funny in Horrible Bosses but I think she is going to do the exact same thing in her next 15 movies when it would have worked better as a one off.
Personally I don't think Aniston or her boyfriend are the marrying type but they both really love publicity.

  19. What you should also believe is that if they wanted to get married, they could get married.

Bingo! I understand wanting to have a big wedding and all that, having had all those daydreams myself, but in the end the important part is the actual marriage and the commitment between the two of you, not the big hoopla. She's already had the huge wedding, and gets to wear designer dresses on the red carpet, so surely it isn't a matter of her wanting to be Queen for a Day; does he want a big wedding and she's going along with it?

Frankly, the older I get, the better the Graceland Chapel in Vegas looks to me, or hell, a friend of mine is a J.P. who'll marry you reasonably cheaply wherever you want in MA. Yes, I like the idea of a party with loved ones around, but you can get married quietly and then have the party later; it tends to reduce psychodrama by at least 200% (because there's something about a wedding that makes people go bugfuck crazy...), you don't have to dress up if you don't want to, and you can just kick back and have fun. (A couple of friends of mine had a post-wedding party at a mutual friend' house, and hired an ice cream truck for part of the day--for the 2 hours or so it was there, you could stuff your face on all the Dove Bars you could stand, free. I highly recommend this for anyone who can afford it and isn't lactose-intolerant!) You can celebrate your marriage--because hey, it deserves a celebration!--without going broke or being a bride/groomzilla; you just need to think outside the big white wedding box, that's all.

Anyway, here's hoping they do whatever makes both of them happy.

  20. There is really no reason for Jennifer to get married unless she absolutely wants to. She probably has enough money to last for the rest of her life. If she wants a child she could easily adopt or get a surrogate should the old fashioned way not be in the cards. She is still enormously popular and famous and to me this is probably why no marriage or children. People are still interested in her all these years after Friends.

  21. What did she do to her face? It looks so puffy. She is getting odd looking.

  22. Totally agree if they wanted to be married they would be. I don't see it happening now. Why would they get engaged though? That's my question.

  28. i honestly don't think they've ever had a date set. i think it's just the stupid tabloids going crazy that they know nothing about it so they just keep saying that their "sources" have told them it's been put on hold.

  29. One of the most incredibly boring non-stories ever written.

I used to think she was ok (not great but at least professional), however this constant stream of non-information she puts out has definitely landed her on the famewhore list IMO. This is just so Kardashianesque (?) and frankly, just like that band of mouth-breathing doxies, she is not that fascinating.

  30. SophiaB: You and I are on the same page with this "lack-tress", but you are ever-so-much-more eloquent!

  32. It doesn't take months to plan a wedding. It takes a few minutes. If the most important thing in your world is that you have a princess moment, and you are willing to spend thousands of dollars on that; do so. But there IS no requirement to have a big "wedding". We make time for things that are important to us. If big wedding is more important than being married; fine. But that's not about getting married. That's about your princess moment. Jen is mid-40's and already had the big, close down PCH wedding. Surely she's moved beyond all that.

  33. California has "private wedding licenses" where you pay a little more to have your license kept out of public records. Only certain organizations would be able to obtain them, such as insurance companies, the IRS, etc. Janet Jackson did this with her second husband René. Enty seems to be suggesting JA followed this route.
