Her body in those costumes...WOW! People could barely kiss onscreen back then, Esther must have been almost soft core porn for those times!
She was beautiful and healthy looking not skin and bones.

If you get a chance to watch one of her interviews DO IT, she was a class act.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, one of the greats. Glad she had a long life; hope it was filled with happiness. As a girl, raised by a mom who loves Classic Hollywood, I watched many of her movies. They were among my favorite musicals - what a production!

ReplyDeleteI like hearing news of people dying when it's someone who lived a long life, full and happy as far as is known. In these situations, it can be a celebration of a good life, rather than mourning, y'know? Ditto for Jean Stapleton last week.

ReplyDeleteI loved watching Esther's movies. She was so beautiful and an amazing athlete. I read her autobiography when it came out, she led quite an interesting life. RIP.
