Brad Pitt Designs Jewlery
In between making movies, Brad Pitt builds homes, remodels homes, smokes a lot of pot, attends charity events, studies architecture, watches nannies raise six kids and also designs jewelry. Yes, his ability to do many things at once is truly astonishing. The fact that he never seems to finish any of the things he talks about or is ever seen doing anything, kind of ruins it for me. He is always talking about stuff, but is he ever doing? Anyway, one thing he kind of did, or at least his publicist wants you to know he did was design a bracelet (above) for Angelina Jolie which he gave her at Christmas in 2011. The publicist does admit that Brad had help from Angelina's personal jeweler which means Brad probably said, yeah that sounds a like a good idea and that the jeweler was checking with Angelina every step of the way, but Angelina probably gave Brad a pat on the head and said good boy when he gave it to her and then called Billy Bob for some Christmas phone sex. He plays Rudolph and Angelina played the shiny nose.
Wow, bitter much this morning?
ReplyDeleteBizarre post.
ReplyDeleteMy BFF's husband designed a ring for her, and he too (gasp) needed advice from the guy who actually makes jewelry. He's dead now, but he'd love to know that somehow his gift meant less because he wasn't a metallurgist himself.
ReplyDeleteHate-bait is so tired.
Confirmation or coincidence? Ah hell, back to my mid morning fantasy....
ReplyDeleteThe only project I ever wondered about was the homes he was building in New Orleans for the people affected by Katrina. He was giving interviews from the site. But then I never heard anything after he was done promoting whatever movie he was shilling. I wonder if any of the homes were actually completed and moved in?
ReplyDeletetimebob (can't make it click, sorry):

This sure sounds like that blind from a couple months ago(the Billy bob part)
ReplyDeleteDoes his jacket have a glove thingy?
ReplyDelete@Reno - good eye! That jacket is the REAL story here! What's up with that? My eleven year old son does that to his long sleeved underarmor-type shirts, but he's emulating WWE dudes. Did Brad design the jacket? If not, who did? So many unanswered questions!
DeleteALERT: Apparently there has been a bad batch of Post Toasties being consumed. I hear it has piss already in it. What the hell is with the hatred for someone who accomplishes a lot?
ReplyDeleteOh, a guy who helped NOLA recover, accomplished actor, father, fiance with the help of an established jeweler gives his love a bracelet that he collaborated on and snark overflows? There have got to be better things to be bitter about.
Everyone knows he designed her engagement ring
ReplyDeleteHe designed Aniston's as well.
DeleteHe's been designing jewelry for awhile now. That's not new information.
ReplyDeleteHe is an avid art collector and travels all over the world buying art. It might be ugly, I dunno, but he does do it.
He was helping rebuild parts of New Orleans, and as far as I know some of those homes have been rebuilt. There are a lot of steps to rebuilding, you can't just grab a 2x4 and hammer and start whacking away.
I don't get the hate. Is Brad such a slouch? Does he just sit around doing nothing? I never got that impression about him, but I don't know. He seems mighty busy to me.
Please he is so full of himself! Well here's a newsflash - He AIN'T all that!! Tool is the word that I think of when his name is mentioned!!!
ReplyDeleteJen, what have you done with Enty?
ReplyDelete@katie. I almost asked that, but I didn't feel like being accused of being a Jen-Hater this morning (I got enough grief from my soon-to-be-four-year-old when she realized I left her spicy chips in the car.)
DeleteIt's true that he doesn't seem to finish stuff. But does he need to? He's made lots of money, and can have whatever hobbies he wants to. If he gave it to her for Xmas 2011 what took her so long to wear it? I hope she's not doing BBT anymore, I guess the heart wants what it wants, but once you have that many kids with someone isn't that kind of selfish?
ReplyDeleteWell said, Enty, and all true.
ReplyDeleteMy sense of things is that you've probably wanted to post this item for quite a while about this dilettante renaissance man.
And he STILL can't open a film by himself, either.
And I agree with Libby that hate-bait IS tired. there's enough real crap to get excited and outraged about.
ReplyDeletewe all know this...and this is one more hobby Brad should drop.
ReplyDeleteP.S.
ReplyDeletethe only fantastic piece of jewelry Angie has ever worn were those mega large emerald Lorriane Schwartz earrings...
They were gorgeous.
The houses were finished and in my opinion are ugly, but people are living in them and good on him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think much of his taste, but his heart is in the right place.
Ok. He designed Jennifer Aniston's wedding ring too.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHe is a sucky jewelry designer. Angie's ring although very large is ugly.
ReplyDeleteI am sick of these two too!!! Not bitter though.
I did love those emerald earrings though-most gorgeous ever.
And Angie doesn't remind me of a jewelry lover anyway.
Supposedly the people living in the New Orleans houses that he worked on are thrilled, so yes they were finished.
ReplyDeleteHey if I had the time and money I'd be dabbling in everything that interested me too!
The new Enty sure is filled with lots of hate. Unfortunately I've come to conclusion that most of the blinds are BS whereas I think before we had the 5 in one day many were true.
@Misch - I remember those earrings! If I hit the lottery, I'm going to buy them. They were stunning!
ReplyDeleteBet he finishes all those joints he smokes.
ReplyDeleteLol for a person who idolizes Dagny Taggart, Angelina definitely has the opposite type in real life.
ReplyDeleteDidn't he also design furniture? It was not to my taste.
ReplyDeleteThat bracelet is sooo adorable. It is totally fetch (That is the fugliest bracelet I've ever seen).
ReplyDeleteQuit trying to make Fetch work!
DeleteYou go it Susan...
ReplyDeleteAnd the furniture was a joke...he may want to be creative but he is not.
I'm totally convinced now that a very bitter, jealous woman is writing for Enty. That shiny nose comment was so catty I'm actually embarrassed for the writer.
ReplyDeleteI thought the bracelet was ugly too and thought it was sweet that she was wearing it - like when I wear my kids macaroni necklaces to work. :)
ReplyDeleteI miss bacon.
ReplyDeleteThe only new thing I got out of this is that Angie and Billy Bob have Christmas phone sex involving her pretend-sitting on his face.
ReplyDeleteThat bastard! How dare he involve himself with charitable projects and help those less fortunate! Oh my God...and to have the nerve, nee, the sheer audacity, to design custom jewelry for the woman he loves. HE SHOULD BE KILLED WITH FIRE AS HE IS OBVIOUSLY A WITCH!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, enough with the hate. There are soooo many more deserving assholes out there. Like Saxby Chambliss, for instance.
@Renoblondee @Frufra Apparently, that glove-sleeve thing is fashionable now. I first saw it on a football (soccer) kit but I've been seeing it quite a bit on everyday clothes now, mostly worn by Euros/Brits (like Tom Hiddleston).
ReplyDelete@timebob Brad's Make It Right project is considered a success. The houses wouldn't really be considered beautiful in the traditional sense, but their green technology is amazing.
As for Enty's hate-on for Brad today, I'm somewhat confused. It's easy to dig up all the things Brad's actually accomplished over the years (what the press miss, the Brangeloons will have covered), so when Enty claims Brad is never "seen doing anything," does he actually want to see MORE Pitt coverage? Like there's not enough already?
Silly rabbits! "Enty" doesn't have an opinion about anything other than garnishing more clicks and views!
ReplyDeleteWow...look at Brad's fingerless gloves, a la Caspar Smart!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my husband, who doesn't have a creative bone in his body, designed my beautiful engagement and wedding rings. It isn't some far fetched story to say that Brad could design a bracelet!
