The Brady Bunch Reunite
It was always great when you were watching The Brady Bunch when they took one of their trips. They did not take a lot of them, but the ones they took were great. It was kind of like what the Griswolds always hoped their vacation would always be. I got you something real nice Clark. One of the trips the family took was to Kings Island which is kind of like when the Griswolds went to Wally World without the people dying or Christie Brinkley and Beverly D'Angelo getting naked or the genius of John Candy and Brian Doyle Murray, but still, you can see where National Lampoon got some of their ideas. Over the weekend, Greg, Peter and Cindy got together at Kings Island for a mini-reunion to mark the 40th anniversary of the episode.
Awwww how cool.
ReplyDeleteIs Barry wearing that shirt to be reminiscent or does he seriously still dress like Greg?
ReplyDeleteNo, that's how he really dresses.
DeleteWho's the other guy? Kind of wrecks the picture...
ReplyDelete40 years?!?!
ReplyDeleteSob! Good gawd, this makes me so freakin' old!!
Wasn't it Cindy that would be the only that didn't do reunites through the years? I remember they used to have them every few years through the 80s and 90s.
ReplyDelete@Cathy they did a Q&A and performed some songs too...so hopefully it was to connect to the character
ReplyDeleteReno, I believe that was Eve Plumb/Jan.
ReplyDelete^ Yep, definitely Eve Plumb. Her aside, the cast of this show is actually still pretty friendly w/ each other.
ReplyDeleteis that guy still dating that top model girl?
ReplyDeleteDragon, I thought they got married? Adrienne something or other...
ReplyDeleteI think all three of them have held up very well!
ReplyDeleteThanks! That's right.
ReplyDeleteMan I love the Brady Bunch!
ReplyDeleteIt's been on a couple of channels running back to back episodes lately and I've been watching them all with glee! I just saw the one where they put on the play Snow White in their backyard.
I've also seen Greg in concert. I'm such a tool.
Awesome! I loved those vacay episodes too. The Grand Canyon and Hawaii were the best.
ReplyDeleteThey should do more Brady Bunch stuff, specials/tour, whatever, it's not like any of them are busy, they can make more money together than they ever could alone.
ReplyDeleteI love the Brady Bunch. I've seen every episode so many times that back when I was in high school and it was rerun every day after school, I would try to guess which episode it was just by the first few seconds where the credits continue.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne Curry, and I believe they have since split. (Hope I am wrong.)
ReplyDeleteThat aside, how fun is this?! :-D
We were in Maui a few years back and Greg was hosting the Christmas luau rocking the Hawaiian shirt! He looked pretty good! Had some young Blonde with him. My son had no idea who he was.
ReplyDeleteIn this day and age...those prints would have been long gone.
ReplyDeleteI think my mother got her fashion ideas from this show. I had a pair of Jan's plaid pants when I was little. I hated those pants.
ReplyDeleteThe Kings Island vacay episode was one of my favorites. I wanted to go there so bad!
ReplyDeleteLOL Kings Island was my senior trip in high school. We took a day trip there as the trip to Washington DC had to be scrapped. We had so much fun at that place lol.
ReplyDeleteI live in the Cincinnati area, and I can tell you first hand that King's Island kicks serious ass.
ReplyDelete@H...that's not some "other guy" it's Mike Lookinland (Bobby)
ReplyDeleteWas at Kings Island yesterday when they were there; waited an hour in the blazing sun to see them and it was BAD!! Took 3 audience questions, Greg sang a few songs and showed some clips. The tech crew for the park sucked which didn't help!
ReplyDeleteThe Brady Bunch is on dinner time on the Hallmark channel. Sometimes if I have an overload of News -watching for the day I turn it on.
ReplyDeleteThe cast is still very close. They just got together for a lunch a few weeks ago in NYC. They spent more time with each other than anyone else for years, so they really are like a family.
King's Island rocks. THE BEAST!
ReplyDeleteI am quite sure that that is NOT Mike Lookinland. Looks nothing like him.
I watch the Bradys every Sunday morning on MeTV. Two whole hours! I look forward to it all week...having my coffee and watching the Bradys. Is that sad? ;-)
