Roman Polanski Says Equality Between Men & Women Is Idiotic
Roman Polanski, the convicted child rapist who somehow manages to be idolized in several countries of the world was in Cannes debuting his new movie. At the press conference for the movie he said that the birth control pill has made women more manly and more equal and that he finds that idiotic. He continued by saying that the pill has changed the place of women in our times. He would much prefer them subservient and in a kitchen naked for him standing ready whenever he can't find a 13 year old girl to rape.
Damn his wife is hot. Though, for his comment, strangely mannish. Still - in The Ninth Gate .. Wow.. She is stunning.
ReplyDeleteHe's still short.
ReplyDeleteGuys like RP are so old & backwards, I just choose to ignore them (and their movies). Not even worth getting riled up over.
ReplyDeleteI second that.
DeleteYeah, I guess having dominion over one's body and reproductive fate is considered a masculine trait. Just when you think the child molester couldn't be more repulsive...
ReplyDeleteDisgusting pig.
ReplyDeleteFor a guy still on the run from a child rape conviction, he's got a lot of nerve leveling criticism for a sex related matter.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Emmanuelle Seigner looks okay. Not bad for someone in her mid-40s. However, her hands look like those of a 60 year old woman.
ReplyDeleteI bet he also still thinks only men should be at West Point and that he shouldn't have to pay black people to serve him.
ReplyDeleteOk. I think his wife looks like the joker. As for his comments, of course he'd love to have someone at his sexual beck and call!!!! His statements are misguided to the max.
ReplyDeleteIt may have to do with his tumultous life. As a child in poland, as family fleeing from Nazis, he lost hold of his mothers hand and was left to fend for himself at age like 7 or 8. He fell in with some peasant women who while they made him able to survive, may hv sexualky abused him. Then if couse there was the horrific murder of his wife, sharon tate, and unborn baby boy, 8 1/2 months along. Sharon begged the killlers to let her baby live, but they did not. So all of these things may have warped him, or mb he was just sexually twisted. Doesnt make what he did- rape of child- or idiotic statements okay.
But he certainly has had a nightmarish life.
No excuse to make other people's lives a nightmare. He is scum
DeleteHe's not just idolized in other countries, he's idolized in Hollywood. The Oscars officially became a joke to me the night they gave one to a pedophile on the lam.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't understand how so many actors continue to work with him and support him (like Jodie Foster, Harrison Ford Mia Farrow and and Kate Winslet) What's wrong with these people?
I wldnt work with him or elia kazan.
DeleteSomeone who drugs and rapes people thinks he should be in charge if other's bodies? No way.
ReplyDeleteWho cares what he thinks ? He should be in jail.
ReplyDeletePeople would like us to be able to separate an artist from his craft. Hemingway was a misogynistic alcoholic but a great writer. Van Gogh was bat-sh*t crazy, and he was considered one of the greatest artists in history. Mel Gibson is a tool, but no one can deny he has made some great films. Polanski is a convicted child rapist who has made some wonderful movies. I guess it is up to each of us where we draw the line.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, in this day and age many artists would serve themselves and their careers best by just keeping their stupid mouths shut.
Yeah, the opinion of a child rapist is relevant to my life. And does he really think he'd attract a woman that pretty if he were a small town lawyer or a shopkeeper? What a pinhead.
ReplyDeleteHe's an idiot.
ReplyDeleteWanted to add - watched that Liberace movie on HBO last night (well worth it, too) in which Liberace is quoted saying something to the effect that entertainers should stick to entertaining and keep their private opinions to themselves. Wish more celebrities thought like that.
ReplyDelete:-) I watched it too. It was along the lines of "Im paid.to entertain and thats it," I loved that too. I dont like it when celebs start shilling for chariites and sticking their noses in politics. Youre entertainers, not social workers and politicians. Btw I loved that movie! I saw Matt Damons butt five times!
DeleteWhy do actors keep working with him? Because it wasn't rape-rape.
ReplyDeleteBoxes - love your comment! We've got date-rape, child-rape, prison-rape, animal-rape, but at least it's not rape-rape! And what the hell, it happened like 40 years ago so it doesn't really count, right? I'm sure he's conducted himself like a choirboy since then. (Insert priest/choirboy reference here)
ReplyDeleteI thought he liked little girls, not grown women. Being an orphan with a murdered wife doesn't turn you into a pedophile, auntliddy.
ReplyDeleteAnyone paying attention to Roman Polanski deserves what they get. Anyone paying to see his movies should be flogged.
ReplyDeleteI think some of the misapprehension and "forgiveness" of Polanski is because people who are so eager to ignore what he did never read the transcripts from the victim's police interview.
ReplyDeleteI think they chalk it up to a simple "man had sex with 13-year-old girl", which conjurers up images of seduction and statutory rape where the girl was too young to give consent yet did so anyway. It's still a crime but doesn't fit the severity many have in their minds of "rape".
Read the facts and one discovers Polanski drugged his victim with half a Quaalude before starting intercourse. Upon learning she wasn't on the pill, he turned her over and fucked her in the ass to keep her from getting pregnant. She got up and got dressed when he had to leave the room to answer the door. He returned, undressed her and raped her again.
All the time she told him no.
Sounds a lot worse when you know the actual details.
Part of me would love to see a Dog the Bounty Hunter or Israeli secret service raid on his villa whereby he is drugged and smuggled out of the country and returned to California to face trial.
But we all know if that happened, he would be freed by the courts and whoever brought him to justice would be considered the villain.
Hiorrific story. Awful.
DeleteStop and think about that. He raped a child as she cried for her mother.
DeleteF this and other rapist molestor scum.
ReplyDeleteThank you Enty for calling a spade a spade. I can not understand Hollywood's love for this ass. Thats why I dont like Harrison Ford and Whoopi Goldberg, theyre two of his biggest defenders.
ReplyDeleteOf course he thinks equality between the sexes is idiotic. It's harder to victimize women when they're empowered. What a dick.
ReplyDeleteI cannot read or hear his name without thinking of the gross pop-culture joke about him from that time: "What goes into 13 two times? Roman Polanski."
ReplyDeleteI don't care how "brilliant" he is. We condemn pedophiles like the British fellow who was recently outed posthumously for it despite a lengthy & prestigious BBC career as "monsters" - why does Polanski get a pass?
Thank you Evil Kumquat for remembering the facts.
ReplyDeleteHe got a shitty life but he definitely harmed some others on the way, the victim of his rape. I am also thinking of Nastassja Kinski who lived with him when she was 15y-17y old and he was 43 (nice 70s grooming). These events happened at the same time (1977), almost a decade after the tragic death of his wife.
I think you are very kind to say the Emmanuelle Seigner looked good on these Cannes. Here are other pictures. I think she looked awful in the "trying too hard, showing too much" which only put a great bloody low-cut red emphasis on her defaults and sagging bits.
It s a pity because I saw her in the flesh two months ago in a restaurant and she looked much better and younger in a more natural look. She was accompanied by her two children, her daughter is in her late teens and I felt so awkward thinking of how this young girl must think of her dad.
I think Gypsy summed it up nicely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a turd. I will never see any of his movies. I don't condone rape....animal-rape, child-rape, date-rape, prison-rape, wife-rape, or rape-rape!
he makes good movies
ReplyDeleteWonder how he'll react when the male birth control pill finally reaches our shelves (it's coming soon by all accounts). Will he say it makes men more feminine and too equal? lol at this guy.
ReplyDelete@babo: I would think Nastassja was probably just relieved that it was no longer her father sexually abusing her. Her sister wrote a book alleging she was a victim of incest. Nastassja either denied or wouldn't comment, I don't remember as it has been a while since I read an article about it.
ReplyDelete@Pookie: If they can make a pill that will dead my swimmers while making the gift more voluminous, I'd get health insurance to gain access. It will be waaaay more profitable than viagra.
A coward who ran away from just punishment. Why is his opinion relevant?
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see this story I think of Whoopi's ignorant comment 'he didn't rape rape' her. And no one called her out on it.
ReplyDeleteAnytime I try to watch his movies they become colored by my low opinion of his horrible nature. It's like I'm looking at his depraved, perverted mind onscreen. I won't subject myself to that. He makes my skin crawl as do the Hollywood sycophants who clamor to work with him. Because, he's still a pedophile, he's just much more careful now. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteAs a director, he's a genius. As a human being, he's pond scum. The pond scum, for me, trumps the genius. I won't support him or his films.
ReplyDeleteI definitely thought similarly to most of the posters here until I saw the documentary, "Wanted and Desired", about this case. Truth be told, it was botched beyond belief by a fame wh*re of a judge. Polanski did comply with the judge's orders, but those orders kept changing. Even the prosecutor said this. Essentially, one must dig deeper into this case. It is not as clear as it might seem, although it is easier to be indignant as though it were.
ReplyDelete@MelanieH,
DeleteRegardless of the circumstances surrounding the sentencing and the fame whoring of the judge and prosecuting attorney - the fact remains that Roman Polanski had non-consensual sex with a 13yo girl. He's a gifted director with a tortured past, but this line stands out (regarding the girl he raped): "She's been victimized twice, by me and by the media."
If he hadn't raped her, the media issue wouldn't have been an issue. They sucked, yes, but he was the catalyst.
The Polanski issue reeks of "did the crime, served the time" aura that people attach to sexual offenses. He had an affair with Natasha K, who was only 17 at the time, that ended with the movie shooting. These are not one-time offenses.
Boxes, personally i think his actions are unforgivable.
ReplyDeleteHe'l Be Dead Soon.
ReplyDeleteTimebob - Whoopi was totally called out on it and most of the coverage of her statement WAS calling her out. To say that she wasn't called out is a mistatement.
ReplyDeleteITA it was a disgusting comment and an insight into her effed up mentality and that of people who agreed with her. It was proof positive that people just don't give a crap anymore. All of those people who continue to watch that show and support her, are the ones who should be ashamed.
Fuck this guy. And by that, I mean don't. Asshole.
ReplyDeleteWell if women/pubescent girls had access to the Pill how could he justify sodomizing 13 year old girls in Jack Nicholson's house? Come on people!
ReplyDeleteI do not understand why we do not place pondscum like this into a deep dark place and IGNORE THEM. Enty, just leave it alone. If there is no coverage they don't get the privilege of our attention. Are web hits more important than morals?
ReplyDeleteI stopped attending movies or watching shows of known abusers like Jan-Michael Vincent, William Hurt, and the like, A LONG TIME AGO. It is MY way of standing in solidarity with victims of abuse (of whom I am one).
This sick fuck and his pedobrothers and sisters (PMK, this means YOU!) need to be buried alive with biting beetles.
I wil not comment again on this or any other abuser's post. I will not give any attention or credibility or webgift to any of them. This includes Rihanna, Skeezy Brown, the Kraptashians. Y'all can join me-just pick up your marbles and stop playing with the cultural/social/sexual molesters.
Fuck Woody Allen too.
ReplyDeleteYep. And Count, thanks for bringing up Nastassja Kinski. I joke about with you (because I am weird that way) and I do not like any of your posts about underage girls, but just mentioning N. Kinski & Woody Allen gives me a sense that when you aren't (SUCCESSFULLY) grossing everyone out with your hilariously nasty pottysex humor, you actually DO have a great big huge heart.
DeleteAs a sex-pos pagan poly (former) provider, i deeply respect your right to rock 'em sock 'em sex. And I applaud the moral boundary you are drawing here. If you would be willing to clean up that under-age crap, i believe you would be elected King of the CDAN Empire.
Or at least the brothel portion of the Empire. Which is LIKELY the only part of the Empire you would have any interest, inclination, or intention to rule...
@SophiaB: King is to blah. I'd enjoy Fuhrer, but then people may think I'm anti-Semetic, which isn't the case. I guess Czar or Emperor would be fine.
ReplyDeleteThe Emma Watson thing was a joke, I even checked to make sure she was of age before I posted it. The Random Photo Rankings, I don't care enough to check the ages generally, although I did with Ireland Baldwin. If a late 30's degenerate actually knew the ages of tween/teen bims, then that would be something to worry about.
Maybe not to some, but to me there is a HUGE difference between someone taking the innocence of a child and someone having sex with an already sexually active late teen. One displays serious mental issues on the Pedo's part, the other displays poor judgement by BOTH parties involved. One needs a slow and public death by torture, the other 2 need a smack in the head.
I do respect the fact that although you don't enjoy some of my humor, you don't paint everything I type with a broad brush of evil. Also, if you ever feel the need to discreetly share some interesting provider stories, my inbox is always open and available via my profile.
Take care.
