Apparently one of the last happy moments the cast of Hangover had. Now they all hate Bradley Cooper.

      @stewmcG, Agreed! Bernadette made me squeal with glee. And her hair! All the fabulous, shiny ringleted piles of it! She's just gorgeous and so poised and so insanely talented. Of course, I love Bette to bits as well. But you just never see Bernadette on a gossip site.

    Yay! Spelling bee! Those kids are awesome. Instead of video games, they work their asses off on their vocabulary. Major fucking kudos!!

      I'm happy for him, but feel sorry for all those spelling bee kids. Their parents put so much pressure on them, and the family honor is attached to their success and failure. Why can't people just let kids be freaking kids?? Life is short.

    I recognize the talent, but Bernadette Peters has yet to do a thing for me. I've been told Bette was incredible early in her career, but "Wind Beneath My Wings" automatically earns her a spot on my dubious distinction list.

    In Bette's defense w/r/t Wing Beneath My Wings, it was the 1980s. A lot of good and cool things came out of that decade, but there were also a lot of weird and/or bad shit that continue to haunt us.

    Everything I have read about the supposed "Hangover Feud" makes it sound more like the press wasn't a fan of BCoop because one of the reporters asked him about his marriage to Esposito and he answered in a short and curt manner. That is seriously the only example they gave. There are pictures of the whole cast going out the same night. The picture on here is definitely not the last time they were all hanging out and laughing. This kind of stuff really annoys me and I don't even LIKE BCoop.

    Oh, and also apparently Zach G was scared to get on the cable car to take them to their interview venue and decided he couldn't do it at the last minute but somehow the press knows that it is really because he is mad at BCoop. Uh huh.

    He was short and curt towards somebody asking about his failed marriage and one of his fellow cast members is afraid of heights. Diva alert! Give me a break, press.

    I saw a documentary once about spelling bees and thanked my lucky stars I didn't make it past regionals in elementary school. The pressure on these kids is seriously intense, far more so than when I was a child. (And German words? When did foreign words not in the common vernacular become part of an English language spelling bee?)

    Bernadette Peters is amazing. Stage, screen, TV, singer, children's book author, philanthropist. Amazing woman.

    The Hangover story is crap. Ditto what @Annie Hall said, and I'll add that if someone was up in my face asking about my exes when I was there to talk about something, I'd be curt, too.

    First time I hear of that Mrs Peters. I'll have to do a little research.

    "Kneidel" is a german word, but English dictionaries accept it (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/kneidel), so it is also an English word. As it is "siesta" (Spanish; sadface, being Spanish myself), "guerrilla" (also Spanish), or "chutzpa" (Yiddish, and Michelle Bachmann or whatever her name is spelled was laughed at because she didn't pronounce it correctly).
    It would be different if he had to spell "scheisse", "schweind","wagen" (all german words) or "desahucio" (Spanish) or other words in different languages not accepted by English dictionaries.

    When I was a kid watching "The Carol Burnett Show", I was always fascinated by Bernadette Peters porcelain skin. Tans were "In", in the '70's, so she was not the norm, being so white. But she was so beautiful and bubbly and adorable.

    As a side note, I also love deep, dark ebony skin. I know that there is prejudice amongst people of color - the lighter you are, the "better" you are, but IMHO, I tend to love extremes of pigmentation and find them beautiful.

    @boxes and @ecua ... Do you notice that most of the time the winners are of East Indian descent? Their traditional culture puts a lot of pressure on kids to excel at learning by rote memorization and also has very rigid ideas about what constitutes "success." See the movie "3 Idiots" for an entertaining yet sad commentary on those values.

    I'd love to see Carey Mulligan colour her hair darker. The blonde washes her out, IMO.

    I've never seen the Hangover movies. And, hated Bridesmaids. I'm lame.

      I am with you on all counts @forthelove... watched the Bridesmaids movie and thought it was dull and incredibly awkward. Not well written and BADLY paced. Cannot imagine how one Hangover movie got made let alone THREE? Egads! Give me an old Carole Lombarde or Thin Man movie if I want some funny stuff. Recent vintage movies leave me quite puzzled.

    Rote memorization has been demonized, but recent studies point to its positive role in brain development. I had a teacher in grade 7 & 8 who to forced us to memorize copious amounts of text for history, geography, and science classes. For years, I could tell you exactly how a refrigerator works, but did not understand how it worked. At the time, it seemed pointless.

    However, almost 40 years later, my memory is amazing; and my ability to learn, to retain information, and to memorize is still very good. These traits I share with almost every student who had this particular teacher.

    Various education groups sent representatives to study this teacher's methods, but realized it could not be replicated to the standardized and common degree they sought for their students.

    Rote memorization has a substantial payoff many, many years down the road...

    I chaperoned a Spelling Bee kid one year. His parents didn't pressure him at all. He put the pressure on himself and loved it. I told him he could have $25 (this was in 1980-something) to buy a souvenir and you know what he chose? A big, fat dictionary. Nerds rock!

    I love Zach G and his southern eccentric quirks and gentility. He doesn't like elevators, either. I only saw the 1st Hangover and it was because he was in it, and he definitely doesn't seem the feuding type to me. He may be my favourite celeb, for sure in the top 5.

    Brad and Zach have been friends for a long time. Back when BC was on Alias, he appeared on Zach's show - can't recall name. The jokes on that episode and the Two Ferns are fairly cutting and they both make fun of themselves and their respective public personas, which makes me wonder if this blind is shenanigans.
