No More COPS On Fox
After 25 years, FOX is finally getting rid of the show COPS. I can't tell you how many Saturday nights were spent watching that show. I think everyone knows the words to the theme song and would sing it for you now if asked. I think people go through phases. It was great to watch for about 3 or 4 years for me and I think that is how long most people watched it, but the great thing is there are always new people to watch it and if you did happen across it on a Saturday night you knew what you were going to get which is some of the most idiotic people you have ever seen, not being very good criminals. COPS is moving to Spike, so if you really want to keep watching the show you can.
Nooooooo!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're filming in my hometown right now.
ReplyDeleteThe "My Name is Earl", "COPS" episode is one of the funniest of the series.
ReplyDeleteOh thank GOD. Terrible, terrible viewing.
ReplyDelete@kate27 - you're from Beaumont?
ReplyDeleteFSP - No, I'm from California :)
DeleteBeaumont TX? I have been there. Awesome. An Art Deco masterpiece. A ghost town with cars...
DeleteThat sucks. First America's most wanted now Cops. What else is fox planning to eliminate
ReplyDeleteI think I've watched it the whole time it's been on. I love it when they go into someone's home and it's just a mess. Very sad.
ReplyDeletethis is tragic...it ruined my day :(
ReplyDeleteOf all the cities they've filmed in TX, they've never filmed in San Antonio, that I can remember or recall which really cooks my grits!
ReplyDeleteNooooooo!!!!!!! My husband, who is a cop, religiously records this show every Saturday night. He's going to be devastated!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs long as spike carries the torch. I enjoy and believe it or not, i learn alot about people and the law.
ReplyDelete@Kate here too!
ReplyDeleteFSP yep
We still watch this every Saturday. Dang.
ReplyDelete@Lola yesss! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI think ENTY should do a Your Turn: Dumbest criminal you saw on COPS
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know they still had COPS on.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know it was still on . Back in the day we always got our Cops and AMW fix on Saturday nights .
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong that I still sing "Bad Boys" to my boys, who are now 18 and 16? LOL
ReplyDeleteI heard this morning and just found on Google.. May 2013, Fox cancelled Cops, and Spike will pick up the show.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazed me that the idiots you'd see on Cops actually had to SIGN A RELEASE FORM before they could be shown on camera!!! I guess there are some communities in this country where appearing on Cops is a good thing (I usually drive really fast through those neighborhoods unless I'm picking up a dime bag).
ReplyDeleteTiger, the producers pay any and all of their fines, and lawyers if needed. Thats why most of them sign release
DeleteI guess crime pays... what might it feel like to be on permanent replay for being a lawbreaking eeedjit? Well sir I once appeared on an episode of COPS bc I am a dumb fuck.

ReplyDeleteAmericas Most Wanted and Cops are American treasures!
When I was little I used to try to song the theme song. Mostly mumbo jumbo.
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember Rescue 911??
Aw man, the best dumbass on a COPS episode I ever saw: the crackhead who called the cops reporting that the crack dealer ripped him off. He took his $20 & didn't get any crack!
