Honey Boo Boo's Parents Are Getting Married
I am not a big fan of reality weddings taped to air on their respective programs, but somehow I think that when Mama June marries Sugar Bear today that things will not be the usual same old same old. According to numerous reports, after nine years together, the parents of Honey Boo Boo are finally getting married. That must have been one heck of an internet conversation when they met nine years ago online. I wonder if Sugar Bear had teeth then or if mama had told him how much she loved toddler pageants. Little did either of them know that someday they would be rich as long as they got together and produced a child. You know what I would like to see? Some kind of mashup where the family is placed in Winterfell or something.
Lame joke.
ReplyDeleteit should be televised like Di's wedding to Charles....(in the back of my my mind I hear Jeff Foxworthy-"I knew it would be classy when the invitation read , BYOLC. Bring Your Own Lawn Chair.)
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, here I sit single. Thanks for ruining my day.
ReplyDeleteGypsy, would you rather be single or be with Sugar Bear?
DeleteWho will design her gown? What will Boo boo wear?
ReplyDeleteWait, I don't give a shit.
Everytime I see her dressed up I always think of that statement about lipstick on a pig.
ReplyDeleteNot in to this show, but it should be funny.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only person that actually thinks its sweet? They are happy. Let them be.
ReplyDeleteI am overwhelmed by the collective intelligence evident in that family portrait.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind them but I do mind the sugar they give their kids so they will be hyper on tv to be entertaing
ReplyDeleteshe seems like a really good caring mother and unlike the kardashians, the family members seem to genuinely care about each other. I saw one episode and was pretty surprised. so, no hate coming from me.
ReplyDeletethey lurve each other, and that is a b-e-a-u-tiful thang.
ReplyDeletetheir diets can't be real (can they). saw where mama june poured a bunch of sugar on cranberry sauce. who could eat that!?
money, it's all about money
ReplyDeleteThis is the image many people in the world have of the typical American family.
ReplyDeleteThere aren't any welfare benefits to being a single mom now that they have their own show, so why not get married.
ReplyDeleteI have never watched this show (nor most 'reality' tv) but I read an article about the family last year sometime that made me quite like them; they are loving, accepting and tolerant folk it seems. They don't do a lot of things the way I would, but if they're raising their kids to be loving and tolerant of different lifestyles and life choices, they're okay with me. Also, they apparently turned down a new, larger house right? I find it hard to give them a hard time. Infinitely more likeable than the K Family that get shoved down our media
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they met online.
ReplyDeleteThey are nice people. They accept everyone for who they are. The money from the show is all in trust funds for college for all the girls. Rosie O'Connell offered to buy them a new house and they refused and June said she would like to renovate but that was their home, they love uncle poodle for everything he is. And when Alana asked June if her yellow life jacket made her look like a chunky lemon and ju e said "yes, it makes you even more beautiful" I thought to myself "wow this is real love"
ReplyDeleteWell i was going to snark, but after all the gracious comments I will hold my tongue. Unless you really really really really beg me. Then maybe.
ReplyDeleteI can't muster any hate for these good people. I think they're a lovely family.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for them! And while they may not do things like you or I, I too have read up on them and they are decent people and do for those less fortunate and give back to their community. I would rather watch 100 shows about genuine happy quirky families than the artficial Housewives or Kartrashians. I find something very endearing about Mama June and her brood and wish them the best! Although I'm a food snob and I would not be staying for dinner on sketti night. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's sweet. Good for them.
ReplyDelete“The course of true love never did run smooth.”
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for them! Their biggest "offense" seems to be that June is obese and the children are fat - well, hello, so is most of America. On the other hand, I would rather look and listen to these real, loving people, than the botoxed, lipo'd, and stretched fakers whose depth runs about an inch deep -- aka what usually must pass as 'normal people' in Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteLong live the Boo Boo's!!!
I want to be invited to that wedding just for the mayonaise!
