Blind Item #6

It is like Remington Steele or Moonlighting, but in a sitcom. These two stars of a hit network comedy can't stand each other. They always are competing for more lines and the male half of the show is really upset at the special treatment his female co-star gets because of her burgeoning career. He would love to see the couple get divorced on the show so he could have it all to himself. He actually said he would love to see her character leave the show in other ways, but they are not very sitcom friendly so would settle for the divorce.

  1. Supposedly Mike and Molly, right?

  3. I didn't know there was discord on the Remington Steele set, loved that show.

  4. I didn't realize the Mike & Molly characters were married on that show. Or that the show was a hit...

  5. Mike and Molly, but I'm more curious about the Remington Steele drama!!!

  6. I thought Mike and Molly too.

  7. He is lucky to be in a show with her. Otherwise he has no job or whatever supporting role he can get on some other crappy show.

  8. Mike and molly. And no way is he a bigger star than her, but cant get arrested for thinking, lol.
As for remington steele, i remember stephanie zimbalist bashing brosnan every time she got a chance, and he NEVER said a bad word about her. My mom and i used to notice that. Guess they just didnt hit it off, but he kept it private., which I respect.

    1. @auntliddy. That's the way I remember it, too. It was supposed to be SZ's show and then "He walked in..." and the rest of the world kind of forgot she was there.

  9. I thought on Remington Steele that Stephanie Zimbalist (sp?) was supposed to be the big star but people fell in love with Pierce Brosnan (of course!) and she was pissed off.

  10. Jackie Gleason and Audrey Meadows!!!!!!
    :-D

  11. Thanks Auntliddy & SusanB-I like Pierce, he seems like a good guy.

  12. And we see who has "legs" as they say in H'wd. But then women don't get roles as they get older unless they are very connected or incredibly talented.

I had no idea that M&M hated each other. Looks like they got married at the end of last season.

  13. Almost sounds like the Big Bang until the divorce part.

  14. Mike and Molly got married on the show last season, but I'm skeptical about it being these two...does anyone still watch this show (hit?), and if Melissa McCarthy left would anyone watch at all?

I'm guessing one of the married couples from Modern Family.

  15. Ed O'Neil and Sofia Vergara on Modern Family?

  16. I thought this was old news and it's Julie Bowen & Ty Burrell from Modern Family?

    1. Even if Julie Bowen left though it still wouldn't be Ty's show, it's an ensemble.

  17. But then again I can't picture him acting that way. The Mike & Molly seems likes better fit. I can see Mike being a bitter queen.

  18. According to Nielsen, for the week of April 15th, M&M was the number 22 show with close to 8 million viewers. I think that's considered a hit. I agree though that if she left, it would likely be over. He would have to realize that, right?

  19. Melissa McMarthy while I like her is completely overrated
The 2 leads on Castle are said to hate each other also..

  20. But then the show would just be called "Mike" and that sounds like it would really suck.

  21. it is not Mike and Molly - McCarthy is hardly a burgeoning star - she carried a movie hosted snl twice and starred in a movie,

    I would say more MF

  22. The way it's worded makes me thinks there is a 'star' couple rather than an ensemble cast (e.g. modern family). Or maybe I'm thinking that way because I love MF and hate the thought of cast turmoil.

  24. Definitely not Modern Family.

  25. Castle isn't a sitcom which is what this sounds like to me. And technically it isn't a hit either though it does well enough in the ratings and its late timeslot that ABC keeps renewing it.

I'm sad to read Stephanie Zimbalist was a bitch to Pierce Brosnan - I loved Remington Steele.

  26. I knew about Moonlighting but not Remington Steele. Other than that, I got nothing

  27. The married ones from HIMYM

  28. Mike and Molly, I think. Fillion has as much going as Stana so, Castle doesn't really fit.

  29. I have a hard time believe this is Mike & Molly. Melissa McCarthy was on Gilmour Girls for years before M&M, movies, SNL, etc. Don't think I would characterize it as a "burgeoning career". The guy who plays Mike also looks like he's been around long enough to realize there probably wouldn't be a show without her. What about that new Tim Allen show? He seems like he might be pissed if the gal that plays his wife got too many lines.
