Blind Item #2

This former A list tweener who is now just a world class a-hole was told by a very very very close and immediate family member that he needed to go to rehab. He has not spoken to her since. He says they are close, but they are not.

Well, I guess this answers my question from the earlier post.

  6. How quickly they fall once they get into drugs.

  7. Did you hear the things Bill Hader said about The beibs when he was hosting SNL? Apparently he has posse members carry his pizza and shit. What a douche canoe

  8. Douche Canoe, bahahaha that's awesome Unknown! :)

  9. I think that sometimes "rehab" is bandied about too lightly. Not everyone who drinks and parties and acts like an asshole is an addict. The idea of rehab is that you cannot drink (or whatever the addiction) moderately like non-addicts.

Plenty of people drink a lot in their youth (I did) then just stop doing that, and drink moderately or even rarely.

I say this as the wife of a recovering alcoholic. I once drank a lot, then decided "this is dumb" and from then on drank only occasionally and not much. Not an addict. My husband, on the other hand, is all or nothing. Last winter he spent 18 days in the hospital going through withdrawal and delerium tremens, followed by Hazelden. He is an addict.

So it just belittle real addiction and sucks up needed resources to say that every idiot and/or DUI needs to go to rehab.

    1. I know it is a lonely journey to walk the path as a recovering addict and as a person who loves them. Serenity, wisdom & grace to you both.

  11. How hasn't he been replaced yet? Nowadays, a pop star lasts about a good year at the top and start to descend.

Just ask Hanson and the Jonas brothers. Well, they're groups but I hope you get the point.

Even Lady Gaga is losing her once raving little monsters' attention.

  13. I agree with figgy. Just because he's become a douche canoe (nice one, unknown!) doesn't mean he needs rehab. Rehab is for people who have drug and/or alcohol problems. You can't "rehab" douchebaggery out of someone, otherwise Betty Ford would have a 2-year waiting list.

Maybe psychiatric treatment could help, but I'm guessing the only thing that is going to do it is a prolonged period of career failure and public mockery. I don't know how his popularity & record sales are doing and I don't really care enough to look it up, but hopefully it's starting to go downhill & we can stop hearing about his nonsense soon.

  14. I so wish there was video of Keyshawn confront this little pisher. You know he soiled his big boy diapers within two seconds of seeing Keyshawn staring him down.

  15. I agree with the others about rebab. Beiber, like any other teen, is still at the experimenting stage. If it continues after his fall (which is going to be very soon), then yes to rehab.

  16. Immature kids and loads of cash don't mix. It doesn't matter who you are.

Needless to say his earning potential is not looking good for the future. This will not end well for anyone but his lawyer$.

I hope he doesn't kill someone with his reckless behavior. But when he does go to prison (and he is headed in that direction now) can you imagine how popular he will be with the inmates?

I'm picturing him wearing pigtails and red lipstick like Travis Beecher on Oz.

  17. I'm thinking his mom is seeing something in him that maybe she or another close relative went through as far as addiction goes. Possibly she wants to stop it in its tracks. Just a thought.

  18. I'm not sure drugs are the problem so much as advanced assholeness.

Frankly, the way he's been acting, Beiber deserves to become a has-been in record time. If I were one of the parents paying for my kid's tickets and downloads, he'd be on the black list by now.

  19. @Dezdemona "Advanced Assholeness" LOL If that was a college course, he would be earning all A's.

  20. He may not be an addict, but he does need a gigantic time out, which would be called rehab for lack of better word. Drinking to excess, speeding, starting fights- he needs to stop, take a look and see if this is how he wants to continue. Call it whatever you want, he needs a wakeup call. Does he want yo wait til he kills a child, having fun and driving while high? I saw a show, i think it was called Jail. Anyhoo, this seemingly nice late twenties man was arrested and bought to jail, completely utterly drunk. Abusive, non responsive, belligerant. Hours later when he sobered up, the cops told him he hit and run with his car, and KILLED a man. He was now, sober, a decent guy and completelly DEVASTED to learn this. His life was ruined. This could happen to babypants if he doesnt wise up.

  21. Not quite completely OT here is the verbal altercation between Bieber and Keyshawn Johnson over Bieber's reckless driving through the neighborhood. Nice to know that the cops are looking into it, not that they're likely to find any actual proof they could use to charge him with. The little punk will probably have to wipe out a bunch of little kids with one of his cars, or some old person trying to cross a street, before they'll actually nail him.

  22. I wonder if his mom regrets the path she let him take... fame and all...

  23. There should just be a rehab for entitled children to get them away from their enabling friends. I think the addiction, if there is one (and I myself am in recovery, and feel that word is SO over-used, and rehab is SO over-rated) is to being treated like a God who can have and do whatever they want.
And he's over 18 now, right? So even if Mom was shielding him from that world, there's nothing she can do now.
Also, there are few things as terrifying as the male ego in their 20's. Take away accountability, responsibility and sanity, you're left with a psychopath in training.

  24. I read somewhere that he had cut his Mother off. Rehab used to be a scared straight kind if thing, now for the rich and stupid it's more like a spa vacation. He's hitting puberty a little late, but he doesn't have to terrorize the neighborhood while growing armpit hair.

  25. Problem is Biebs has no boundaries. What's stopping him? A ton of 19yo's smoke weed, drive fast, part and act like a-holes.

The difference is the average 19yo eventually wants to move out of Mama's basement. To do that, he has to stop with the pot and partying and show up to a decent job (and keep it) to afford an apartment.

A car? That costs a ton of money to the average 19yo. And the first time he gets a ticket, or has an accident (God willing no one gets hurt) - the price of the ticket or the repair bill gnaws at that 19yo's ass and they slow down an act more carefully.

Biebs just buys a new Ferrari

  27. if his MOM is saying he needs rehab, he probably does. i wouldn't second guess his mother.
and his behavior sounds out of control to me, and i'm a recovering alcoholic.

  28. Tyger Lily you are onto something there should be a treatment program for douchebaggery, incredible income potential, the problem is getting the douche bags into the program, I see resistance LOL

that said yes I think Bieber is dabbling in the drugs whether too much or just enough to bring out his inner douche bag or maybe he needs to break away from it all, total shutting out of his dubious friends

  29. Mara Wilson (the little girl from the movie Matilda) wrote a great piece about why child stars turn into messes.

    http://www.cracked.com/blog/7-reasons-child-stars-go-crazy-an-insiders-perspective/

Beiber is former white trash, uneducated (probably stopped his education around age 12), doesn't have an actual peer group, and is emotionally stunted. He doesn't need rehab, he needs real friends outside the glitter bubble and a college degree. I was a train wreck in college when I was 19, add millions of dollars to that equation, I would have been an a-hole too I'm so sure.

    Very interesting article!

I would pay good coin to see the former NFL player glaring at the punk and his scurrying away.

Let's see how Brooke and Lindsay turn out--Maybe Betty Ford can add a spoiled brat program to their menu.

  38. Good points, figgy. Anyone ever read about the harm reduction model? I'm all for it. I'm not convinced that everyone has a personality where it has to be abstinence or abuse; there CAN be a continuum. I'm also not a proponent of the 12-step model either for several reasons. I know it's saved lives for some, but again, it's too one-size-fits-all for me to accept.
