This always will be A list legend/singer is trying to keep a lid on the fact that unless her experimental treatment succeeds, she will only have a few months left to live.
Treatment for cancer? What is today? International Cancer in Gossip day. Jeeze, Enties, Can't you find us a nice story about Tom Hardy rescuing a puppy, or Tom Cruise running through a burning building to save a cat or something like that?
@Young Carrie Bradshaw, if you want to read something funny about Tom Cruise, read this absolute b-job the New York Times wrote about him a couple of weeks ago. The writer claims to be an Orthodox Jew, but you can almost hear the Scientology checks clearing.
If your cat is on fire, it's only because it is not allowing itself to become clear and needs further "touch assists" that only a certified OTVIII can provide. Thank GOD for Tom Cruise! LOL
Libby. For you. Didn't want to show my face. Can't mess up that international armpit modeling career I might get out of this sensual photo of my nekked pit.
Whoever this is I wish them the best and hope they get the treatment and not the placebo.
Usually when using an experimental treatment the doctors don't even know if they are giving the actual medication or a placebo to create a control group. The only people who who know which are which is the company that makes them and are able to know because of serial numbers. Eventually you can find out once the testing phase is done since it will be in the reports.
When I had my stroke the doctor gave me the option to be a part of the trial for a new med. and explained it to me. The doctors basically randomly pick one from a box of them not knowing which is which. (I happened to get the actual medicine and the effects of the stroke were pretty much wiped out with just a few lingering problems, but it saved my life.)
@Auntliddy @DelRiser (A subsidiary of Del Taco Inc. lol) Thank you both. Although I think some on here wouldn't agree that it's a good thing since they think I'm a troll for some reason.
I really hope it's not Aretha. She is one of the original divas. Ran into her once at the local post office. I thought it was wierd that there were two big guys just standing at the door but then they opened the door for me and at 8 mos pregnant I just thought they were being nice. I walked up to the counter and just glanced at the woman next to me. It was her. In a full length mink coat. Figured out those were her bodyguards when I walked outside and saw the limo waiting for her. In true diva form she took a stretch limo to the post office. Respect!
Aretha?
ReplyDeleteBarbra?
Anyone absent of late?

ReplyDeleteAretha cancelled some shows recently. So sad.
ReplyDeleteAretha Franklin. She cancelled an appearance in Chicago under doctor's orders.
ReplyDeleteTina turner
ReplyDelete@loopymommy:
ReplyDelete+1 so sad but she had the chance to live her life (it's a french expression ) if she's her
That is true. She seems to have lived well in her later years despite experiencing a tough childhood and personal tragedies.
DeleteI have to go with Aretha on this one. Heartbreaking.

ReplyDeleteOh dear lord..... Aretha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the confirmation/clues everyone. She was my first thought.
Be strong, Aretha. I got goose-bumps right now just thinking of her voice!
I tried to post as a reply to you, but it didn't work. :(
DeleteI've got her Blues Brother's diner number in my head now. "You better think!"

ReplyDeleteMore interesting is that apparently that writer's husband was recently fired for giving one Tom's movies (Oblivion or Jack Reacher) a bad review.
DeleteAwesome
DeleteTina turner she lives in Sweden, they do a lot of experimental cancer treatments there
ReplyDeleteSwitzerland.
DeleteLiza?
ReplyDeleteI heard if your cat's on fire, TC is only one who can save him.
ReplyDeleteI heard it from TC.
It's true! He saved my cat, grandma, unborn child and husband with just a look! It was amazing! Lol
DeleteOh libby, you are such a suppressive person!
ReplyDeleteIf your cat is on fire, it's only because it is not allowing itself to become clear and needs further "touch assists" that only a certified OTVIII can provide. Thank GOD for Tom Cruise! LOL
ReplyDeleteDolly Parton was mighty tiny looking in recent photos.

DeleteLibby. For you. Didn't want to show my face. Can't mess up that international armpit modeling career I might get out of this sensual photo of my nekked pit.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! You are so silly, Young Carrie. How sweet. I am touched, Aw. *sniffle*
ReplyDeleteThere's no love like Pitt love. But how would I know. I'm just a big chicken. Bazing
DeleteSo glad things are back to normal 'round here. Iwas missing it. You too libby.
DeleteDidn't Aretha not too long ago recover from a surgey but she told no one what the surgery was for?
ReplyDeleteSadly, this is probably Aretha Franklin with her pancreatic cancer, which still beats everyone...
ReplyDeleteI find this sad. Whoever it is, ones death is a personal thing and they have a right to make it as private as they want.
ReplyDeleteF28 is right. My mom was very gregarious and outgoing but when she got cancer she became practically a recluse. Such a change!
DeleteTher
ReplyDeleteTina Turner lives in Switzerland, not Sweden!
ReplyDeleteAnd she is doing fine.
tina lives in switzerland not sweden. She was trying to escape high taxes not pay more-which would be the case in sweden i think lol.

Rowdy, thats wonderful! So happy for you!! A spot of sunshine today:)
ReplyDelete@Rowdy, that's fantastic news, what a wonderful random pick!
ReplyDeleteSadly I agree this may be our wonderful Aretha.

ReplyDeleteCher?
ReplyDeleteCher?
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, has to be Aretha, which I hate. Very few people survive pancreatic cancer.
ReplyDeleteAretha just canceled on a commitment to headline a benefit for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, so my guess is her, as well.
