Tim Tebow Has Been Released By The Jets - Still A Virgin - Probably - Maybe - In A Jonas Way

The NY Jets this morning announced that they had released Tim Tebow from the team. The Jets drafted a quarterback over the weekend which gave them six on their roster. Yeah, only one plays at a time. Despite paying Tebow $4M they hardly ever played him because they realized once they got him that he is not very good. He is good at getting people to buy Tim Tebow jerseys, but apparently not enough to make him worth keeping.

  2. Still good-looking, though. Can't he do something in an industry that only requires him to be good-looking?

  3. @Nutty - the next bachelor, maybe?

  4. I am so tired of seing Enty (and others) rag on him for 1, being a virgin, and 2, not being afraid to admit it. What is the crime? If that's his lifestyle choice, let him have it. We don't hesitate to snark on the sluts (both male and female) here, but when someone makes the complete opposite choice that warrants even greater ridicule? No wonder our teens our confused when the adults who have a voice in the media send them mixed messages.

    Off soapbox now.

    1. Because Tebow comes across as perfect. It's nothing but jealousy at the end of the day. He's a hunk , vocal about his religion and and a profess virgin.

A lotta women feel they wouldn't be good enough for him.
A lotta men hate on Tebow because women like him and he has had some success in the NFL.

  5. @Patty - I think there is some information out there that he is lying about his virginity.

  6. Patty, people snark on Tebow because people he went to college with have been saying for years that he definitely isn't a virgin (like the Jonas Brothers and their purity rings.)

  7. I know him from when he did his stint in Denver ... he was quite the ladies' man here and definitely NOT a virgin.

  8. If he's lying, then that's another story. Agree with that. I just hate to see the vitrol out there about virginity. There are kids out there who feel something is wrong with them because they have not had sex yet, either by affirmative choice or circumstance. There is nothing wrong with it.

  9. Eh...he shouldn't worry too much. Jerry Jones has a knack for putting mediocre QBs on the Cowboys.

  10. At least they didn't drop Greg McElroy. Roll Tide. :-) Who is the new QB?

  11. I'm with Patty on this. He's doing his best to live a good life the way he sees it. If one makes a mistake, you just try harder. I haven't heard that he's talked badly about those who don't live up to his standards. I don't get the hate. Unless of course, you're talking about his quarterbacking skills. I'm not big into football but I understand he's not that great. So as far as sports go, hate away!

    1. Tebow & Lochte do stupid stunts to win the girls of their dreams.

    2. I was just thinking that a Tebow and Lochte reality show would be hilarious.

  13. I don't really care about Tebow. I understand why people don't like hypocrites, though.

  14. I find it hard to believe that if he's such a player that there wasn't someone out there willing to sell him out to the tabloids by now?

That being said I agree with Patty I never understood why virginity is mocked its a personal decision. I think if people were more selective about their partners they might have less problems health or emotional.

Putting that aside he's still a bad QB regardless and that's why he was cut.

  15. Nobody is knocking virginity. We're all snarking on a hypocrite that has no real talent other than lying. He lied his way into a $4m job. He continuously lies. I don't see how he can get any work doing anything other than selling used cars.

  16. He may not have been the best QB but he can use the skills he gained and coach College Football. I've never gotten the hate either but Enty always snarks on Tiebow and people just seem to pile on. For those calling him a hypocrite really? Where is your proof? As another commenter said I think if he were that big of a Ladies Man someone would have had a story to sell by now. My Nephew who was a Colllege QB used to get yelled at by the fans who disagreed with the decisions made about plays to run sand they would say the nastiest most obnoxious things! I am glad he is out of the spotlight and also glad I didn't have to go to jail for assaulting a loudmouth. Perhaps that colors my view but I still say if someone is actually trying to live according to their own principles it is not a reason to hate on them.

  17. Four million to warm a bench? Where's my contract?!

But seriously, I think Tebow will do just fine in life. He's young, good-looking and the media refuses to ignore him. I see lots of media appearances in his future -- with or without an NFL contract.

  18. When did it get necessary to discuss the state if your virginity publicly? Not a fan of this trend. Its no ones business.

  19. Folks used virginity as a publicity stunt.....it sets them apart from everyone else.
    Michael,Britney,Brooke,Tebow,Lolo,etc.

Folks are always dubious when it comes to their sexuality , a woman would never disclose how many men she's actually slept with.
I've known some "virgins" who can suck the chrome off a Buick and others who didn't know what to do with a penis. Of course, the other virgins who take a dick up their ass to save their pussy for marriage...or at least until they get the engagement ring.

  20. There's definitely nothing wrong being a virgin. Lying, holier than thou hypocrite? Yes. And it isn't jealousy. A lot of people can't stand posturing or phonies. Even Jesus had some strong words about people who prayed loudly in the streets so everyone could see how "righteous" they were.

  22. If he had spent half the time being part of the team and learning his sport on a professional stage instead of talking about himself, maybe he would have been more sucessful? I could care less about his sex life, but he clearly has an ego that outweighs his talent. He can't play like he said he could, so he's out. That's all.

  23. Tebow is a wonderful guy, played exceedingly well when he was still at Florida, and is one of the most humble guys I've ever met.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I guess he is a "born-again virgin" like The Bachelor.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't care who he bangs or if he has ever banged, I'm just glad this bucket of suck is off the Jets. He is as skilled a QB as Jessica Biel is an actress.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think most of us knew this was going to happen. I never understood the hype. He had his moments (long ago), but I never thought he was that good, at least not $4M worth.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Not a Gator or a Jets fan, so I am not concerned with him. I do not buy his "virgin" story line, although I have no proof. I agree, it's tacky to proclaim virginity. Who cares?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Virgin or not, good QB or sucky QB, he still looks fine!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm not mocking Tim Tebow because of his 'virginity'.

I'm mocking him because he isn't a good quarterback. He sucks at football. He shouldn't be in the news as often as he is.

But he figured out a way to raise his celebrity more than it should have, to get more money than he deserves and to sell more shirts than he warrants.

How'd he do that? But getting on a soap box and telling people 'I'm a virgin and I oppose sex education', 'Abortions are wrong and women shouldn't have the right to choose', and 'I'm looking for a woman with a servant's heart'.

If that shit appeals to you, that's fine. But don't expect me to salute a bunch of stuff that looks like misogynistic Neanderthal bullshit to
    me.

Oh and don't think that Tim Tebow believes any of that shit he say. He says it to sell you stuff.

  30. The people who survived are going to be well cared for. I was out and about on Saturday--and every single place I went was doing some kind of charitable work to donate to the One Fund.

I work for a small, family owned business --a chain of retail stores and we collected over $50,000 just in our stores that will go to the fund. The big companies are donating hundreds of thousands.

This is a nice story and whoever it is--is doing a nice thing. A lot of people have gone home already but there are people hurt who will be permanently damaged and they'll need help for a long long time.
