Ozzy Osbourne Admits To Relapsing

44 days ago, Ozzy Osbourne had his first day of sobriety in 18 months. For a year and a half, Ozzy admitted on his Facebook page that he had been using drugs and drinking booze again. Now he has someone who follows him every minute of the day to help him stay sober. He also said on his Facebook page that he and Sharon are not getting divorced. I think that is still up in the air. They definitely have split and a few days late, TMZ says they have split. I'm not sure why they were so far behind. I think it si because they are chummy with Sharon and don't say anything remotely negative about her or her life. Ditto for the Kardashian family. It is like Harvey worships at the feet of Kris Jenner and uses them to sustain life.

  1. So if you knew before TMZ, why didn't you say something, Enty?

  2. Makes sense if this is more "tough love" than divorce. Hopefully these two crazy kids can make it!

  3. I really want them to stay together! They're grandparents and they've already made it this long! I bet they reconcile.

  4. I want them to stay together, too. They seem so suited for each other.

  5. What kind of life is that if someone has to be with you every minute to make sure you don't use? Lindsay, meet your future.

  6. @ethorne - I'm guessing that it's a temporary thing until he's more stable back on the wagon. i don't think he's going to have someone doing that every day for the rest of his life. have you not heard of a sober companion?

    1. @Cathy-At this point in his life, yes I think he'll need a companion forever. Maybe Sharon got sick of being that person.

  7. I hope they can make it and he gets back on track with his sobriety. Now it makes sense that they split, I can't see Sharon putting up with this anymore.

  8. Kneepads is reporting they are "still married" which can mean anything.

  9. I've notice when celebrities are separated or having a break from each other they end up divorcing. Would be surprise if they stay together.

  10. Thanks for saying something about TMZ and the Kartrashians. What is the deal?!

Too bad for Ozzy and Sharon. Addiction is terrible.

  11. I stand corrected, @DGums.

  12. This makes sense with what I had heard, that a while back he had rented a mansion for the band since they were recording their first album in forever, I guess that being in "band mode" is code for "Oz back on the bad sh*t." Hope they pull it together.

  13. Makes you wonder if his relapsing had anything to do with the fire that demolished part of their Beverly Hills rental home not too long ago.

  14. Well, I guess now we know why they split up, if he's back on the booze and drugs again. Hopefully he can stay clean and they can work it out. It's too bad though.

  15. To be honest I think either one of them would be a hard person to live with.

It's good that Ozzy can afford to have the support he needs to not be using--he's done his health enough damage.

  16. Life is too short to be wasted on an addict. You can never get back time. Ozzy is 64 and this latest fun binge surely aged him even beyond that. Doesn't seem like Sharon wants to be his wet nurse and I wouldn't either. Hope she has a great side piece who enjoys and appreciates her company.

  17. @VIP agree with the tough love call. If she was going to permanently leave him over his drinking, she would have done it long ago.

  18. I'd actually be surprised if they officially divorced. Sharon used to be one of the most powerful women in the music industry and made Ozzy a huge star. They kind of remind me of Ken/Lisa Vanderpump...he'd pretty much do whatever she says and she takes full charge. Sharon is probably the one who got him a sober companion.

  20. guess this was the "divorce that will shock and surprise everyone" from the blind a few days ago?

  21. They have been separated dozens of times, many of those times due to Ozzys addictions or abuse by both parties. "Mama Im coming home" is allegedly about one of Ozzys many retirements but, its actually about one of their many splits, this one supposedly after he beat her. They've come back from much worse than this. Those days were different only because Ozzy was in the spotlight then. Sharon behind the scenes.

  22. I wish him well. If he's agreed to a sober companion that means he's serious about working it out. Hopefully Sharon isn't done for good. I could understand if she was.

  23. Do they really need to divorce at their age? 30 years is a long time. They might as well just stay married and live separately. Divorce at this point is pointless.

  24. @Sylvia--Sometimes people separate for a while because they just plain need a break from each other; a little time spent apart helps everyone calm down and put things in perspective. Perhaps this is one of those situations? I do agree that they've dealt w/much worse (honestly, I don't see how trying to strangle your spouse isn't worse than falling off the wagon, and God knows Sharon's always had a sense of humor about that episode), so hopefully now that he's sober again, they'll eventually reconcile.

  25. On the flip side TMZ has been crucifying Lindsay ever since she fired Shawn Holley, so TMZ isn't all bad.

  26. Right Sherry? I could understand either way but it's really hard when people have been together so long.

  27. Believe it or not, Crila, sometimes people even as ancient as the Osbournes fall in love with someone new and want to marry them. Of course, most of us over the age of 40 are dried up old husks, but it can happen. :)

  28. If I got divorced, I wouldn't marry again. Love, yeah, marriage, or living with someone, no.

  29. Just like the old saying goes: "If at first you don't succeed, never try again."

  30. @Mooshki, so I'm a dried up old husk? Good to know LOL

  31. My guess is Sharon is practicing tough love. I am not living with you until or if you get your S**t together and don't take too long or I may move on without you.

I would imagine that would terrify Ozzy sufficient to at least make the first steps but Sharon is right to separate because that communicates to Ozzy she is dead serious if she isn't already fed up for good.

Ozzy has been lucky given the abuse he has done to his body and brains over the decades though I wonder if that accident set him back. But he sure does not need to kill some more brain and liver cells. Tough for addicts to deal with pain issues though.

  32. LOL @ Mooshki ;)

I gasped when I saw the divorce headline.

The relapse, not so shocking, but sad nonetheless. I did enjoy their reality show and enjoy his Dr. Ozzy column in Rolling Stone. I hope he can fight those demons.

I too think that Sharon's just doing this to show him that she's serious about not being with him til he's really sober. I think it's a wise move, myself. She's a smart cookie that Sharon. I doubt they're truly splitting, after all they've been through? I don't buy it.
