  1. They still have these?

  2. Luckily the Catching Fire trailer was posted online after it aired on the show so I didn't have to watch this but yay for Bilbo and the Avengers!

  3. @FSP. Apparently. Who knew? More importantly, who watched?

    ReplyDelete
  4. I agree with Yay for Bilbo and the Avengers. Though I must say Channing was robbed for best shirtless moment.

Our movie watching must be that of a teenager. I probably saw more of these movies than Oscar contenders.

  5. Lol@ Mila Kunis being nominated for Ted. I can't believe I used to look forward to watching this shit as a tween.

  6. don't normally comment but how was a teenager picked over a shirtless channing...that generation has no taste.

  7. Enty, find out why Jennifer Lawrence cancelled at the last minute. She was apparently scheduled to attend, and even had a skit with Rebel Wilson planned. She also won Best Female Performance, so they completely ignored that category last night.

I didn't know these were on. RCB do you know if the Catching Fire trailer is on line?
When MTV keeps putting out crap like Teen Mom their credibility for deciding what movies I watch is shattered.
    No thanks.

  9. I didn't watch, but on Twitter this morning Kathy Griffin tweeted about how awesome/funny Aubrey Plaza was. Apparently she was escorted out of the awards because she went up on stage and trolled.

@Amber they have an article of Huff Post about it. I guess she tried to pull a Kanye with Will Ferrell. She had her movie name written on her chest. Some say she was drunk, others just a PR prank, she was sitting in the front row whereas the Avengers cast was apparently sitting a few rows back.
I didn't see it, this is just what I got from article

  11. Best MTV award show in recent memory. Rebel nailed it. The montage of Will Farrells craziest moments on film was hilarious. They usually repeat the show this week several times-catch it!!

  12. Snow White from Snow White and the Huntsman was up for Best Hero?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!

You could practically see Charlize and Chris Hemsworth huffing to carry that movie. Kristin Stewart was awful! The "moving" scene at the end - we were all giggling and throwing popcorn. The whole thing is MS3TK!

@izzie: I thought the same thing re: SWATH. That 84 minutes or so there in that last scene when you could just see her internal dialog saying "ummm, this? Is this the face I do? No, that seems confused, crap, now I AM confused.... This! No. No that's amused, I don't think amused is the right look. Maybe, though.... Oh! This one! This is, uh, regal and shit. God, I'm so bored. This is dumb..... I should call my dealer, my stash is low.... I wonder what's for lunch.... Oh shit! I'm acting! Regal face, regal face....." Worst possible ending considering her extremely limited talents. Not that every scene with her wasn't terrible but the other people were delicious.

  13. @RCB - thanks for the reminder! Here's the Hunger Games Catching Fire trailer. SQUEE!! November 22!

Ooohh Izzie thanks for posting that! It looks great, Catching Fire was my favourite book of the three. I'm so excited that PSH is in it!

  15. Thank you Izzie!!!

  16. Can't believe that I agree with most of the MTV award winners this year.

I think Kristen will only continue to be at all relevant until the tweens still currently interested in her turn 17, at most. If she had a clue, she'd be enrolled in acting classes full time while it still mattered.

  17. Thanks Izzie! It looks awesome! Can't wait for November!

  18. So, I know that being 40 makes it illegal to watch the MTV awards and everything but I did watch about 10 minutes of Rebel Wilson (who I really like, btw) and boy was she awkward and not funny at all. At all.

  19. Did anyone see Selene Gomez perform...she looked high and crazy! I had to turn

    ReplyDelete
  20. @noseygal48, Selena's performance was cringe worthy. She's cute, but her vocal 'talent' is a mirage.

  21. @Dasha: X-Men filming started today in England and friday she was again on the next David O Russel movie in Boston so maybe because of sheduling conflict

    Loki best villain???!

  22. I don't know who wrote the dialogue for Rebel et al., but I thought most of it wasn't very good; they did the best they could w/what they were given, but what they were given was, well... :-( The one bit that did make me sit up and say "I can't believe they had her say that!" was when Rebel made the comment about Jamie Foxx being into plus-sized white women--hasn't that been discussed here & elsewhere in the past as one of his known preferences? (I suppose this means I'd still have a chance with him, but he's just not my type, even if I might be his... :-)

Oh, yeah, and yay for the Avengers! (Boo to Joss for not bringing Tom Hiddleston back for the sequel, damn it!)

  23. An award that AnnE Hathaway didn't win!

  24. I like rebel Wilson but why do I feel like she's this year's Betty white?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Channing tatum was robbed. Seriously the dude was shirtless for whe movie. Twilight like seconds..I knew tatum was gong to lose the moment he didnt show

    ReplyDelete
  26. Leo as Candie was the BEST villain. He was robbed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I laughed till I peed when Rebel Wilson told the Les Miserables director "In researching my role I learned that 18th century prostitutes often suffered from itchy tit. That's why I was scratching".

    ReplyDelete
  28. Wow, I missed these prestigious awards? Horrors!

    WGAF?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love that Rebel girl. She just doesn't care.
OT, if any of your family or friends are in Boston, I surely hope they're safe. I'm watching the news and reading at the same time.
