It is just a few days until May 2. That is the day Lindsay is supposed to go to rehab. For 90 days. She could possibly go to court that day and tell the judge she has not made up her mind on a facility and try and buy herself an extra week or two to keep making as much as she can from her sugar daddy, but that would involve a cross country flight and more drama. It has generally been Lindsay free lately because there has been actual real news and much better gossip than the Lindsay variety. Writing about Lindsay is the equivalent to a tabloid putting Jennifer Aniston on a cover and saying she is pregnant. It is what you do when there is nothing else to write about. Like today. If Lindsay stays in there for 90 days and does not try to leave or get in trouble for drinking on the sly, she should walk away mostly clean. I still think if you are taking Adderall you are not really sober, but if that is all she ends up taking after 90 days away, maybe she can make a comeback. 90 days is a long time and perceptions can change. She needs to come out of there humble and willing to do any kind of acting work and share a trailer with other people and be a team player. If she can do that and make small positive steps, she has a chance to move on from sugar daddies and back to acting.
Her life is one giant reality show. She was stupid not to sign a deal to have ppl follow her and pay for all her shenanigans. She'd be out of debt by now.

It is always someone else who is blamed or made to be the fall guy/girl. The above is a link to a change.org petition going around the campus of my alma mater. The purpose of the petition is to try to get academic sanctions against a student "preacher" on campus who specializes in being the worst possible person.
Most recently, before a "take back the night" sexual assault awareness rally he was carrying a sign reading "you deserve rape" because, as he says, women dress "like whores". The school claims they can't ask him to stop so this petition hopes to change that. I'm hoping it will go viral and maybe you guys can help.

ReplyDelete1) actually work at rehab. Give up all that shit, it's making you look old anyway, and while I'm sure you need the drugs to live with the whoring, did it occur to you that if you lost the drugs you wouldn't need to go whoring?
2) use the time to get some fitness in ya. It will help you feel better about yourself and it'll fast track you to getting back that glow you used to have.
3) hold a press conference when you leave rehab announcing to the world that you are cutting off contact with your parents. They are the worst part of your life, enabling these bad habits to enhance THEIR lives.
Another idea to show the world you're serious is you could stay in rehab longer than 90 days. Release a statement saying you're feeling much better but still have some work to do. This will show people you are serious.

ReplyDeleteI've tried to avoid commenting on here about Lindsay, but I saw one of the first comments about why she didn't make a reality show... I wish it were as simple as one thing that's keeping that show from happening, but it's actually a little more complicated. Lindsay has had people in her life that tell her she's a star, that she's the greatest actress of all time, so when the reality show idea first came up a few years back, her management and the leeches in her life told her it could ruin any chance of winning an Oscar. I was at a party and was standing around talking to a couple friends, and about 5 feet away was Lindsay and her management discussing the reality show that was just pitched to them earlier in the evening. The comment that stuck out was "Meryl Streep doesn't have a reality show! Paris Hilton isn't getting offers to act in a Spielberg movie!"

Today she has fewer people in her life that are delusional enough to think that Lindsay will be Meryl Streep one day... and I actually don't think Lindsay really believes it either. But back when people started talking about her getting a reality show, she and her management truly believed that they could turn her career around and become an Oscar winner someday.
Over the years something else has kept her from getting work, and kept networks from wanting to have cameras follow her around 24/7... she's impossible to work with. Everything you hear on gossip sites/magazines is nothing compared to the real thing. She does everything that you would expect to find in a bad movie about a "crazy" actress. She throws things, she threatens to hurt people, she won't come out of her trailer, she's high all the fucking time, she comes to set drunk and/or high out of her mind, she can't remember lines, and on, and on, and on, and on. Any acting talent she may have had is long gone, (personally I never thought it was there to begin with, but that might be my stuck up Broadway roots talking.)
The networks that were talking about a reality show about Lindsay also had to deal with how to film her when she does so many things that are illegal. Yes, they have shows about hookers, drug addicts, and people assaulting others, but Lindsay's whole life is all three of those things and more. Plus, she surrounds herself with people that do illegal activities and who wouldn't speak to her as long as she had a camera crew following her. They wouldn't want to be on camera, or risk being on camera, so they would cut ties with her till the show was over. That would mean losing drug connections, losing her "clients", so that's a big reason that she hasn't agreed to a show. Shit, sorry for the long rambling post (AGAIN!) Just thought all of you would be interested to hear a little bit about (from what I've heard over the years) why she hasn't done a reality show.
JayJay: Between this and the other post I wanted to thank you for sharing your stories. They are most insightful. I'm sure someone, however, will come into the room to tell me what eegit I am to believe you. Screw them. I loved the tales.

ReplyDelete@marie-ski - A couple weeks ago I posted why I'm on here, but I'll give you the cliff notes version to save you the headache of reading the whole thing! :)
I travel a lot, and I do a fair amount of night shoots, which means my sleep schedule is all thrown off. For years I used prescription sleep aides, but I was becoming dependent on them. I stopped taking them recently and have found myself unable to sleep. I've found myself getting 2 or 3 hours sleep over the course of 2 or 3 days. Just when it seems like I might be able to get on some kind of schedule I have to get on a plane and fly somewhere else, or I have to do a night shoot and be up till the sun comes up.
You mentioned "him" and I'll admit that I know the story. Him is actually the reason that I found this site. I read a story on Gawker (or a site like that) that said Robert Downey Jr. was the mysterious "Him". I came to the site just to see what the fuss was all about. I took a look around and read some of the comments from "Himmm". Now that I have sleep issues, I need something to help pass the time, and something to calm my mind. Making these long stream of consciousness post helps. I just type whatever is popping into my head and ramble, which seems to help me a little bit.
I'm not going to claim to know if Himmm was Robert Downey Jr. I have no clue. I've heard people talk about "Himmm" when the story first came out, and I've had the chance to ask Robert... but I just don't have the guts too. My gut says he's not "Himm", but if I ask him I'm sure he'll think I'm a moron. I will say this though, the person might be famous, might not be, but a lot of the content of their comments were very accurate.
I don't have any real motive for being here. It's simply a way to calm my mind, and a way to pass the time when I'm sitting in a hotel room alone. I'm not a party type, no hookers for me, no drugs (other than prescriptions), and very little drinking. I suppose my only motive is to provide people with a little insite into this business, and what the life of an actor is like.
I certainly have my fair share of stories, but I'm trying to be careful about what I say so that I don't give away who I am. I'm not worried about all of you knowing, but I am worried about people in the business knowing. I like my job and I would love to be able to continue working on the projects I want to work on.
I hope these rambles aren't too much for you to take! I just type so fast and don't edit myself, so I end up with these post that could be a lot shorter!
