Gretchen proposing to Slade does not surprise me at all. She pays for everything. She has come out and said that she supports him and expects him to do certain things (see above) for her which apparently he has either done well enough or she finally broke down and bought herself a ring and told him that he is going to marry her and where to be and when. Slade has certainly gone a long way down the humiliation and embarrassment ladder since we first met him on the first season of Real Housewives OC. Back then he had a job and had not stopped paying the medical bills and $100K in child support he owes to his kid suffering from brain cancer.
