Blind Item #5
This foreign born almost A list mostly movie actress who seems like she has made a career of playing anyone from the 18th and 19th century was walking a red carpet in the last few weeks and lasted about 30 seconds before she had to head off to the bathroom for some coke. She has always enjoyed coke, but she is out of control. She spent way more time in the bathroom than she did at the actual event. I'm surprised she has any teeth left after all the grinding she does.
Keira
ReplyDelete@ethorne You got it!
DeleteKiera
ReplyDeleteTotally Kiera.
ReplyDeleteHate to hear it.
ReplyDeleteGod she's soooo skinny. Not healthy looing at all. That must suck to be STARVING all the time.
ReplyDeleteShe was also my first thought but didn't Enty have a picture of her not that long ago where he commented how healthy she seemed?
ReplyDeleteEasy Easy!
ReplyDeleteShe's actually not that skinny. Sure she's got the top half of a teen boy, but she's got a pretty nice ass!
Keiraaaaa.
ReplyDeleteGURL, you were on your way to the A-list. Don't stop now!
Yep. Keira
ReplyDeleteHelena Bonham Carter...
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to think of a non-period movie Keira was in.
ReplyDeleteBend it like Beckham. Love Actually. :)
DeleteBend it Like Beckham is the only one I can come up with, ethorne.
ReplyDeleteShe was so wonderful in Anna Karenina.
Also 'Never Let Me Go'
DeleteAlso Domino the bounty hunter one. But yes this has got to be Keira
DeleteWay to go Ethorne!
Defn Keira. Good job, ethorne!
ReplyDeleteFWIW, she's *always* been on the thin side, not coke skinny, just naturally slender. The coke may just be making her naturally slender frame gaunt. :( I loved her in Pride & Prejudice and Atonement. (Plus she got to kiss Colin Firth AND Ian McEwan. Le double sigh.)

ReplyDeleteHelena Bonham Carter...
ReplyDeleteHelena Bonham Carter...
ReplyDeleteKeira all the way.
ReplyDelete"Bend it like Beckham" and "Love Actually" are the only 2 movies I can think of where she was modern day.
Helena Bonham Carter...
ReplyDeleteAw, man. I hope she gets help. I love her Pride and Prejudice and think she is a very compelling actress.
ReplyDeleteYes, very few movies set in present day. The most recent I can recall is Seeking a Friend For the End of the World. She was my first thought.
ReplyDeleteShe was in Domino as well....
ReplyDeleteIsn't Keira going to be in a blockbuster with Chris Pine soon? She really could have been a superstar if she she didn't shun blockbusters!
ReplyDeleteAw, this makes me sad. I think she's just naturally thin - remember Bend It like Beckham, still very young, and very very thin. I've known some people like that. But this makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteCocaine is so addictive, you really feel you're on top of the world. Fortunately I could never afford it, but I remember friends got some and we were snorting for 2 weeks, it was rough stopping when it all ran out!
It says mostly movie.
ReplyDeleteWhen has Keira been on tv?
@Erika - Kiera has done TV movies & mini-series.
DeleteHere is her IMDB page.
I just rewatched Bend It Like Beckham this weekend, and she looked so good there. I still will never understand why she was the one who made A list from that movie, but I look at her then and now, and it just makes me sad. I get the feeling that she is trying to have a different career (serious BBC type) than what her talent would lend itself to.
ReplyDeleteSeachica - I've loved Parminder ever since then, far more than Keira.
ReplyDeleteSee, this makes me sad. I've always like Keira.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason Keira doesn't seem the coke using type to me. And she was in movies whose time period was way before the 18th century like King Arthur. But in this list (http://www.imdb.com/list/1MQw0mLANco/) only Keira and Helena are almost A list and fit the blind.
ReplyDeletekeira did the pirates of caribbean movies. some the highest grossest movies in the top 20. she did her stint
ReplyDeleteim with her on the coke thing tho
Keira Knightly for sure.
ReplyDelete@Izzie: (Plus she got to kiss Colin Firth AND Ian McEwan. Le double sigh.)
ReplyDeleteEr. What? The only thing she has starred in with Colin Firth (besides Love, Actually, in which they didn't kiss) is the short Steve, and she most definitely did not kiss him in that either. He played her weirdo neighbour.
I think you're confusing the 1995 BBC mini (with Mr Firth and Jennifer Ehle as Lizzie) with the 2005 feature film (with Matthew McFayden). Or I'm forgetting something. (IMDB seems to be down, so I can't double-check.)
@Snapdragon, you're right. I loved Colin Firth so much as Mr Darcy and Keira as Lizzie, it's like fan-fic movie mash-up in my brain. :b
DeleteShe plays modern day in The Hole... which is a deliciously trashy british teen thriller too fun not to warch on netflix instant...
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute. She's married right? Where was her husband. I feel like he would be mentioned if this was about her.
ReplyDelete@Izzie, lulz! :-D Though sorry, JEhle is the perfect Lizzie to me :)
ReplyDeleteYes! Ehle is a far better actress than Knightly, any day of the week!!
DeleteAlso @Izzie, Ian McEwan wrote the novel "Atonement" but James McAvoy starred in the movie adaptation. Different Mc! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, FFS, Monday and I need coffee because I am a damn tired fool! I SERIOUSLY did type James McAvoy and then thought, no, it was Ewan McGregor. So I typed the author's name instead. Good grief.
DeleteThirty lashes, I'll take 'em.
what red carpet did Kiera K recently?
ReplyDeleteIt must be a generational thing because Helena Bonham Carter was the ONLY one to pop into my head.
ReplyDeleteI thought the "actual event" was a hint to Love Actually
ReplyDeleteEven I got this one!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness Izzie, I sentence you to a marathon of BBC's Pride and Prejudice and selection of teas and coffee.
@Jessie, I am dying with laughter. Sentence me! SENTENCE ME! (in manner of Monty Python and the Holy Grail)
ReplyDeleteI just rewatched P&P, and I remember thinking "Keira's teefs are really weird." Totes her.
ReplyDeleteYes, teefs.
"30 seconds" makes be think of Jared Leto, 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, and Keira Knightley is listed as "Family and Elite" on his website...so I would say Keria Knightley for sure.
ReplyDeleteHelena Bonham Carter…
ReplyDeletenot Keira
I adored her as Lizzie in 2005's Pride and Prejudice. If I found a magic lamp I swear wish number three would be that 2005 P&P would be a miniseries because it just isn't long enough for me. And Matthew Macfadyen...yes please!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was also Keira but I'm also suspecting it's HBC.
ReplyDelete(OMG! Did anyone check out Helena's IMDB list of projects? She's playing Liz Taylor in a TV movie called Burton and Taylor.)
Sorry for the diversion. I can't find any pics of Keira on the red carpet but HBC was at the Oscars in Feb.
Helena Bonham Carter is who I thought of as well. This would also excuse her crazy fashion sense. WTF is she wearing? She's high. Oh, well that explains EVERYTHING!
ReplyDeleteJust to be different, Mia Wiasiakowska?
ReplyDeleteI also said Helena Bonham Carter.
ReplyDeleteHelena has always dressed like she shopped for her clothes in dumpster by an old folks home. It's not a recent thing. Lately she's been in tons of movies set in the present. I can only think of a few non period pieces Knightly has starred in.
ReplyDeleteMaggie Smith!!
ReplyDeleteHeh heh... I can just picture her sneaking away and chopping up a line in her nun uniform while filming sister act!
DeleteI still don't think Keira Knightly. Just don't get that vibe from her. Has she been on the red carpet recently? Her recent fashion shots - Vogue I think? - were really good.
ReplyDeleteOMG thank goodness. My first thought when reading that blind was 'Nooo, not Cate!'. Now I will continue to believe she is awesome.
ReplyDeleteObviously Helen Mirren.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Abbie Cornish.
ReplyDeleteHelen Mirren was my first thought.
ReplyDeleteOk so my first thought was Cate Blanchett... don't know why, to be honest :/
