Blind Item #1 - Kindness

There are a lot of good stories coming out of the Boston Marathon tragedy and someone who is not necessarily known for being a really kind person has contributed to the kindness coming out of the tragic events. he is A+ list for sure. In fact, some would say that this celebrity was the most A+ a celebrity could ever be. Anyway, three people he only knows slightly all were running in the Boston Marathon. One of the people, who he knew the best is on her 7th surgery and is still in critical condition. Her sister lost her leg and her husband suffered 3rd degree burns because of the explosion. The celebrity has offered to not only pay their medical bills but to fly them home on his private jet and take care of them once they get back home until they all are at full health.

  1. I was thinking Damon but I think Affleck is a better guess.

  2. What about Marky Mark? He's kinda known for not being the nicest person, but has the boston connection as well. It says "celebrity" so I'm thinking outside the acting box. He and the funky bunch were pretty darn popular...

  3. I don't think Ben is the most A+ there could be. Plus, does he have a private jet? Matt and Ben seem logical since they are from Boston, but I don't think it's them. Someone bigger. Maybe a big time singer? It's a celebrity.

  4. Say celebrity - if an actor Enty would probably have said actor.

  5. Do I dare suggest Donald Trump? A+ celebrity; has his own jet; not known for kindness.
    Or perhaps a politician...

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yep, change my guess to trump. Sounds like him.

  7. Agree with Patty.

"this celebrity was the most A+ a celebrity could ever be"

Can you say that about Damon, Affleck, and Marky though? Perhaps someday, but I don't think any of them is there yet.

  8. Maybe an ex-Pres- Bush?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Trump makes sense with the wording because of "Celebrity Apprentice"

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'm sure Trump thinks he's the most A+ list celebrity there is, but I like FSP's guess. Tom Brady ftw.

  11. The most A+ a celebrity could ever be made me think former president. Maybe GWBush?

  12. My first thought was Jack Nicholson... not sure why but there you go :)

    1. @Kelly, I was thinking Jack initially too! However, after seeing the Charlotte connection, I'm leaning towards MJ

  13. great. now who is helping the people in texas? and all the other tragedies that have happened?

  14. If it had said actor I would say Mel Gibson.

  15. Well, this is the family in question

    http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2013/04/16/3985154/some-from-charlotte-are-among.html

They're from Charlotte, NC if that helps.

  16. John Travolta? Because he's a licensed pilot.

Thought - they don't have stories like this in Canada. Not because the people aren't kind - they are - but for another reason.

  17. Affleck & Damon both have charity organizations they do work for so they're known for some kindness, I think. I agree that it probably isn't an actor since it says celebrity. I was thinking Simon Cowell. Not know for being nice & is A+ for reality celebrities anyway.

  20. "the most A+ a celebrity could ever be" makes me think this could only be about a former president as Jeneral suggested. Bill Clinton perhaps?

  21. The Charlotte connection makes me think Michael Jordan. Not always the nicest guy and he is certainly one if the most recognizable athletes of all time, 2nd only to Ali.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The injured couple are well known in the fitness community in Charlotte. I think this is Michael Jordan too. He owns the Charlotte Bobcats and has a condo here.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I was also going to guess Michael Jordan because of the Charlotte connection. He owns a condo there and has strong ties to the city.

  24. Michael Jordan is in the daily mail today...

    ReplyDelete
  25. My first thought was Bill CLinton too. There have been other A+ celebrity blinds that he was the guess for.

  26. Yay for kindness blinds! I love starting my week with some do gooders - yessss!

  27. donald trump is a good guess

    ReplyDelete
  28. I feel like if it was Donald, he would be out there on every news network telling everyone about it. Lord knows he needs all the good PR he can get.
I'm going to go w/ Neil Diamond just b/c of the Boston connection - but idk if he is known to be nice or not.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What about Tiger Woods? I hate to say it because he's awful, but he's an athlete, has a private jet, is both mega-famous and infamous, and Lord knows he's not known for being kind...

    ReplyDelete
  30. What about Steven Tyler or one of the Aerosmith guys, they are all from Boston

    ReplyDelete
  31. I hope this is Michael Jordan, and he fits the description. He is, globally, one of the most well known people.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like the MJ connection with Charlotte, but Trump is here building a new, luxury golf course here as well.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kindness blind is a good way to start the week. Thanks Enty!

  34. the notion that donald trump is "the most A+ a celebrity could ever be" gave me my first chuckle of the day. thank you for whoever suggested him.

its not the donald. if it were him, he's hold a press conference.

I am hoping that the celebrities from boston would hold a fundraiser and give some fat checks to the cause. conan, mark w, damon, affleck. if not now, dudes, when?

This may be Steven Spielberg. I saw a photo of him at the marathon, helping to carry a stretcher. He would certainly have the means to help someone and by being there, would feel a connection to help.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I know Bradley Cooper was at the hospital but when you said private jet you lost me...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Sounds like Sean Penn, specifically not known for kindness.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I like the Michael Jordan guess. He's the only one listed so far who is most definitely an A+ pretty much world-wide.

    ReplyDelete
  39. 1st thought was Sean Penn.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Isn't the woman from Charlotte GoHeels83's friend? Didn't she post here about them right after the bombing happened?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Michael Jordan has his own private plane.

    ReplyDelete
  42. That wasn't steven spielburg carrying a stretcher! It was a doctor who looked like him.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I thought Tom cruise? He's the most A list actor I can think of.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Elton John or Paul McCartney

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think it could be the woman someone on this site knew. She was a personal trainer and her story was on the DM. I think her name was Nicole Gross? Maybe the celeb frequented her gym??

    ReplyDelete
  46. After reading the research, I would almost guarantee this is Michael Jordan.

Clinton is a good guess, but 90's Jordan was about as A list as it gets. Owned the NBA, Air Jordans, and basically could sell anything if you gave him enough money to be in a commercial.

And he is famous for being a complete and utter douchebag. Not evil, just the epitome of a douceh bag.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The Donald is a shameless self-promoter. If this was him, we would've heard about it from his own mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  48. What about how pathetic it is that you have to depend on the Celebrity connections to be able to get health care!?! The fact that you have to know someone who has money to get cared for properly is pathetic. This is a sad testament to the healthcare system that we depend on.

  50. Lookin at the Jordan guesses.

Worldwide A-list. The clues on the family lead us to Charlotte.

One of the sisters works with a high-end gym/sports club in Charlotte. One article described her as an Athletic Director, and she coaches clients for triathlons/marathons, etc. It seems highly likely she'd crossed paths with MJ at an event, or its possible he squeezes in workouts there when he doesn't feel like going to the Bobcats gym.

I'm on board with this being MJ 100%.

  51. Just to be different:

    Lance Armstrong?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Bill Clinton is very nice and very charitable, he heads the Clinton Foundation for God's sake, so not him.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't think anyone else has guessed this. It keeps sticking in my head, "...some would say that this celebrity was the most A+ a celebrity could ever be."

    Ashton Kutcher?

    A-plus-K on Twitter?

    I don't think he's A+ list, but who knows.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Not known for kindness is taking it easy on Simon Cowell.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @Know-it-All: Yep, I think it's Michael Jordan as well. He fits perfectly. I wanna be like Mike.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Loving the Michael Jordan guess. I remember a story one time that visitors to even the remotest villages, if they came from the United States, would be asked by the villagers: "Michael Jordan?". People in countries that don't even play basketball can be found STILL wearing Bulls "23" jerseys.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Marky gives a whole lot to his Boston church and neighborhood .

    ReplyDelete
  58. No one guessed Tom Cruise????

    ReplyDelete
  59. I like the Sean Penn guess, but do 2 oscars make you as A+ as you can get? It doesn't say the he/she is from Boston. And I agree that Trump would leak this story in a heartbeat if it were him. Sean does a lot of charity stuff without a ton of press.
    Maybe Jay Leno?

    ReplyDelete

i like the tom cruise guess!
seriously if there ever was a A lister its him

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'd say Elton John. He's really the only A+ that you can possibly get who fits.

    ReplyDelete
  62. So far unmentioned, I think, Tom hanks. He's the highest A+ I can think of

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm on the Jordan train as well. His condo is near the athletic club where the husband and wife work.

The golf course Trump is involved with is already built. His company took over control of the country club, which has been in existence for at least 10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Who could be the most A+ ever? Michael Jordan,Mohammad Ali from sports. Bill Clinton or Barry Obama from politics. Music..Mick Jagger, Prince, maybe one or two others. Literature, Steven King. Movies, Jack, Harrison Ford, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Maybe Affleck or Damon.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Think this is Air.

    ReplyDelete
  66. So many Charlatans today. Fantasia lost her house, Michael Jordan got married and is probably the answer to this blind.

Since it's probably about those women from the Observer piece, the evil part of me wants to guess General Petreaus's crazy side-piece. Broadwell? Except she probably doesn't have access to private planes now that she's not getting Petreaus to "stand at attention" anymore!

If it wasn't so tacky, pathetic, and horrifying...

  67. Going with Jordan.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I was thinking more along the lines of Mel Gibson--or someone like him--really not known for being nice.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm gonna go with Denis Leary. Not exactly an actor, but as A+ as you can get for a comedian, and from MA. Has a jet. Tah-dah!

    ReplyDelete
  70. No doubt it's MJ. Asked for donations to his charity instead of wedding gifts over the weekend. Some money going to marathon victims.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Some of you are forgetting that it says this person is "not necessarily known for being a really kind person"

I can vouch for Denis Leary, he is very kind and considerate. I've spoken with him a few times at Fenway/Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund events.
