  1. I did not. But at least I don't feel so bad about my own crush on Cha Chi.

Whatever happened to his cousin, Jimmy? I loved him on Soap (not the way I crushed on the future douchebag, but for his actual acting.)

  2. I usually don't watch Anderson's show, but I DVR'ed it on Friday because I heard that Andy Cohen was going to be the cohost. OMG, can they cohost together everyday?! Forget Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin, I would watch Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen everyday!!!

  3. I'm going to have one of those made up for Susan Dey of The Partridge Family. The the keyboard playing spiritual ancestor of Emily Haines of Metric. My 12 year old crush.

  5. did anyone watch his VH1 reality show where he was looking for love? He came off as a complete himbo that always just used women as disposable gym socks, if you catch my meaning. And he was wondering on the show why he didn't have a long term relationship.

  6. I had posters of Scott Baio on my wall when I was 12 and 13 as well, along with Shaun Cassidy, Erik Estrada, Leif Garret,John Travolta and other guys from Tiger Beat magazine back in 1979 and 1980!

  7. I wonder if Scott Baio will have some ridiculous homophobic tweet about this.

  8. @Cathy, is Baio known as a homophobe?

    1. I worked with him about 8-9 yrs ago on a charity event, there were tons of gays there, he was super sweet, hugging everyone and signing autographs and taking pics good-naturedly with lots of guys. Not my impression, at all.

  11. Gayeld - I loved Jimmy Baio as well! I'm still mad that Antenna TV doesn't show "Soap" any more on Sunday nights.

He did a movie in 1986 called "Playing For Keeps" -- one of those movies where the inner-city kids have to save their community building (in this case, an inherited hotel) from an evil corporation. Last thing I ever saw him in, although Wikipedia says he did stuff as late as 1996.

    1. @Zeeky. I really need to sit and have a Soap marathon one of these days. And make my 17-year old nephew sit and watch it with me. Price of living in my house, kid, and you'll thank me for it later.

  12. Scott Baio and John Travolta were the first people I can remember crushing on when I was like 6 or 7. I can remember me and my cousin trying to stay awake on Christmas Eve discussing how cute they were :)

  13. I find this ironic, because my childhood crushes were Scott Baio AND Anderson Cooper.

Only the latter has survived after 30+ years.

  14. He was mines until I found he is a complete racist and chauvinist. His comments about the First Lady-- not cool. He's a known dickwad douche nozzle. He once dumped a girl because she had AA heritage in her background.

  15. Chachi was so cute in his little leather jacket, like Fonzi Jr. of course I loved him. Scott Baio, however is a complete twit. Should've stuck with The Fonz, heyyyyyyy.

  16. Gayeld - Too bad we're not in the same town, I'd totally join you in that Soap marathon!

What's hilarious is that AntennaTV was running a commercial, during Soap, that talked about how their programming is wholesome and family-friendly. During Soap! ABC barely even got the show on the air, there were so many angry letters about its supposed filth. Funny how relative things are. And as Danny Dallas said, "beauty isn't in the eye of the beholder. It's in your face!"

  17. My guess was Johnny Quest.

  18. Good grief! Who DIDN'T love Chachi? Scott Baio was so awesome back in the day...

  19. He was my crush, too. He blocked me on Twitter when I commented to Andy Cohen what a DICK he was on an ep of Watch What Happens Live, which is prob what Andy was referring to. I begrudgingly look forward to seeing a Bob Loblaw appearance.
