If you have been a reader of the site for awhile, you know that it is rare that a January 1 or July 4 goes by without some type of Amanda Bynes and Kid Cudi reveal. The two are a pair that are constantly fighting with each other and then getting back together. Allegations of drug use and financial problems go back and forth and Amanda alternates between hating Kid and wanting him to do what she wants Drake to do right now. In a series of Tweets, Amanda calls Kid talentless and ugly. Hey, she is the one who has been dating him for years. I'm guessing she thinks the double piercing and horrible wig look is hot?

ReplyDeleteWatching that video the other day reminded me of a friend who was tweaking and liked to videotape herself getting ready. I suspect that may also be part of her problem here.

ReplyDeleteIn terms of transactional analysis and games theory, Bynes has done something remarkable: She has exhibited behavior that causes people to say "Oh, the poor dear" and act all concerned about her mental health. She's done what Lohan and Tara Reid tried and failed to do -- she's made the gossip world care! And how sick is that? (I can't stand her. She is playing this game too well for me to worry about her.)

I know they say her parents can't force her into the hospital, but can't they do an intervention? Have a friend invite her somewhere, and have the intervention. Does she have any friends left? She always seems alone.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to allow profiling of the girl then: Anyone who doesn't feed her ego is probably alienated from her life. If you tell her she needs help, then chances are it will be the last time she speaks to you.
ReplyDeleteBecause of this 100% compliance requirement, she probably doesn't have any friends, and would never last long enough with a therapist to get anywhere. She aint magic pill crazy, she's decade in therapy to try and reprogram her crazy. Only way that will happen is if she gets locked up.
I have theories about using controlled doses of LSD and light torture to get through to these types, but lack of funding and volunteers have been impeding my progress. It is tough to find someone in that shape who is not addicted also, and I have no interest in nursing one through withdrawals.
Don't knock the technique. Canadians had some success doing LSD therapy on alkies and Stanley Kubrick had some treating a guy addicted to violence and rape.
