What do you wear to bed? Has it changed over the years? I went to this onesie store in LA, but they had nothing even close to my size and I know that I would look like an Oompa Loompa. Whatever I wear to work is usually what I fall asleep in.
Sweatpants and tshirt in the winter and shorts in the summer. I have a weird habit of stripping when I sleep so I'm usually not wearing much when I wake up. I also rip out my nose ring in my sleep but I always wake up holding it. So weird.
Nighties, tank tops and boy shorts, tank tops and shorts or long pajama pants, just undies, or nothing. The one thing that I cannot stand is sleeping in a shirt that is loose. I twist around too much and it annoys the crap out of me.
T-shirt and boxer briefs. I, like many people, slept nude until I had a kiddo. The girlfriend still prefers to sleep nude, but with a 12 year-old boy around has decided nightgowns aren't bad on nights he is with us.
Till I gained a lot of weight I wore nightshirts. Then the nightshirts got too tight and I had to start wearing only panties to bed. By the time I lost the weight (caused by bloat from a thyroid disease) I couldnt get used to wearing anything on top again.
Sports bra or t and shorts. I run at the ass crack of dawn a lot of mornings and not dealing with a run bra in while half awake is essential to getting out the door on time.
I am bundled up like an eskimo. I am always cold so it's pants, t-shirt, fuzzy socks and sleepy hat. Oftentimes my robe too. I have trouble getting/staying warm anyway but the missus has to have a fan blowing high, directly at the bed, 365 days a year.
tank top or fitted tee paired with: -> undies, -> sleep shorts, -> or pj pants.
I don't like sleeping naked unless it's passing out after sex. The idea of having to be prepared for an emergency makes me anxious. I don't want to be robbed while naked or have to escape a fire without clothes on.
Winter: long flannel bottoms and a matching shirt Spring: silk sock-monkey pjs Summer: light cotton shorts and top
Sometimes, though, it's only Mr's T-shirt. He's a big guy, so it's like wearing short nightie. :)
Always, always - even in the hottest weather - I have to wear socks to bed. And I have to put on chapstick before I go to sleep. Weird, I know, but I can't stand bare feet or chapped lips.
Oh yeah, baby. Yeah. What about you over there? Yeah you. Mmmmm. What do you wear to bed?
Tank top and jammy pants, much to my man's chagrin. One of the bambinos always winds up in our bed by 6 am, and I am on Disco's freak train about now wanting to run out of the house nekkid. My neighbors would be holding up score cards
@Sunny, haha! Our kids know to knock but Mr is coquettish like that.
BTW, to answer your question the other day - yes, that's me. Went into hiding from creepy stalker person who's probably figured it out by now but it's all good.
Bra and knickers usually, sometimes nowt at all. I have huge boobs so if I don't wear a bra all the time they would be hanging low. Seems to be working though because 2 kids, mid 30's and a G cup and they still look pretty good, if I do say so myself. :-)
Both my wife and I wear pantyhose and t-shirts to bed. Yeah it's unconventional, but that's who we are. Thing is pantyhose sure are warm and comfy to sleep in on a winter's night.
In the winter, we don't have heating, so I wear leggings and a t-shirt to sleep, with a caftan overall when I am awake. I have OCD and cannot sleep without a shower and clean clothes. The bedding is always aired in the morning sunshine.
Summer is hotter than hell. I wear a light cotton caftan to sleep, because I have kids. My hubs just wears his tighty-whiteys in summer.
Before the kids, and when we had central heat, I wore pretty lingerie. I'm sure my husband misses those days.
Feeling pervy enty? :) Tank top and shorts. I miss wearing sexy nighties and lingerie but i figure all that's behind me. At 27, I have decided to retire my vagina. We had a good run.
Depends on weather, but usually pajama bottoms and a sports bra or tank. If it's colder, I might throw a sweatshirt on. If it's colder, the PJ bottoms are boxer-type shorts. Since I became perimenopausal, I wake up finding I've thrown things off during the night.
It's cold over here so right now so I sleep in pajama bottoms and a tee. Summer it's a tank and just undies. I could never sleep in the nude everyday. My husband on the other hand sleeps in only his underwear all year long.
Bra top tank, sox and undies..Even if the Opster peels them off, back on they go (unless it's warm)..it's cold in our apt.
EmEyeKay..Love how you call your son "the short one".
Figgie..I like you and the hubs policy..keep it spicy babay!
Izzie...Unless it's blazing hot I cannot have my feets be nekkid..And I always put Vaseline on the lips before turning out the light. The kittles like a little lick of that too (helps with hairballs) but then immediately run off the bed.
Just U..Oh sweetie! I feel for you with those G's. That must be very difficult. I can barely tolerate the DD's/
Alma...NEVER retire! It makes you old. At the very least, love the cookie on your own. Very important..IMHO.
@Sherry: "Cookie"? I hadn't heard that one before. Right now, I'm liking "lady garden," thanks to The Bloggess. ;-)
OK, where was I? What do I wear to bed? Well, since I've had to spend the last 10+ years w/my bedroom door partly open so my cat can wander in & out to eat, drink, crap, etc., and I've had roommates that entire time, sleeping in the nude is right out, for which no doubt said roommates are eternally grateful. (If I close the door, the next thing I know I hear SCRATCHSCRATCHSCRATCH until I open it & let her in or out; all the scratching is hell on both my nerves and the bedroom door, and it's not as if my social life has been particularly entertaining during that time...) It's been cotton nightgowns for many years, usually knee-length or longer, although the last couple of years it's been a short-sleeved, scoop-neck knit sleepshirt in the winter; in the summer, though, it's generally sleeveless & woven cotton. For some weird reason I don't like wearing knits in the summer, esp. on my upper torso--they feel hotter to me somehow than woven fabrics do. Anyone else have this trouble?
(Yes, I know, I'm quite literally pussywhipped...welcome to my little world. *sigh*)
I'd go nude, but since I've got two little heckhounds sleeping with me, that'd just be weird and probably would result in an embarrassing boob injury. So it's knee-length sleeveless nighties and undies for me but never socks because they are the bane of my hormonal existence.
Summer - capri yoga pants and a tshirt. Winter - long yoga pants, tshirt, hoodie, socks and isotoner ballet slippers. My heat is down to about 63 at night.
TeeShirt and underwear.
ReplyDeleteOh my, this could spiral out of control fast!
ReplyDeleteNighty or t-shirt - only. I can't sleep in bottoms.
ReplyDeleteTank and boxers. Never varies.
ReplyDeleteI slept nude until I had kids. Now it's a nightgown every night.
ReplyDeleteTank and boxers. Never varies.
ReplyDeleteT shirt and boy shorts usually. Sometimes boxers and tank sometimes nothin.
ReplyDeletePic please.
ReplyDeleteT shirt n undies

ReplyDeleteI sleep naked, I can't stand the restriction of clothes while I'm lying in bed.
ReplyDeleteHubby and I have a rule: must sleep naked when together, wear jammies when apart.
ReplyDeleteCompletely depends on the day, the weather, the hubby...no nightly routine here.
ReplyDeleteSweats in the winter, shorts in the summer

ReplyDeleteNothing. I don't like pajamas, they end up twisted around me.
ReplyDeleteI just hate sleeping in clothes, but I do, because of The Short One.
ReplyDeleteSports bra/workout tank and shorts. I cannot wear pants or my legs get itchy.
ReplyDeleteSports bra or t and shorts. I run at the ass crack of dawn a lot of mornings and not dealing with a run bra in while half awake is essential to getting out the door on time.
ReplyDeleteT-shirt and P.J bottoms which usually get lost by the time I wake up...
ReplyDeleteyeah either a cute nighty, or a t shirt and undies, depends on how cold it is.
ReplyDeleteIn the nude. Love it...so does my Boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteI am bundled up like an eskimo. I am always cold so it's pants, t-shirt, fuzzy socks and sleepy hat. Oftentimes my robe too. I have trouble getting/staying warm anyway but the missus has to have a fan blowing high, directly at the bed, 365 days a year.

@Sherry, my sister from another mister. :b
Sweats pants

Lol, exactly what Disco said! If there is some sort of emergency, I don't want to scare the neighborhood! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth my wife and I wear pantyhose and t-shirts to bed. Yeah it's unconventional, but that's who we are. Thing is pantyhose sure are warm and comfy to sleep in on a winter's night.
ReplyDeleteWhatever works! ;b
DeleteDon't the pantyhose constantly run?
DeleteUndies only usually. I rather be super bundled in my blankets. Plus two dogs and a cat on top of me make it a little warm also.
ReplyDeleteIn the winter, we don't have heating, so I wear leggings and a t-shirt to sleep, with a caftan overall when I am awake. I have OCD and cannot sleep without a shower and clean clothes. The bedding is always aired in the morning sunshine.

Alma, what?! You're on 27. You may come out of retirement.
ReplyDeleteLol. I already threw it a party and gave it a gold watch.
Delete*snort*
DeleteNothing in the summer but pajama pants and top and sox in the winter. I can't do gowns they always end up around my neck and not for a good reason.
ReplyDeleteT-shirt and yoga pants, I want to be prepared in case there is a fire.
ReplyDeleteNude, i figure if there is an emergency and I have to run outside others are going to have the nightmares not me....
ReplyDeleteWarm weather - thin strap stretchy tank with boxers or stretchy shorts. Winter - same idea but longer legs and sleeves.

ReplyDeleteNothing. Year-round, no matter what the temp.
ReplyDeleteNothing...but sometimes socks if it's really, really cold.
ReplyDelete@Discoflux- same here. Plus a housefull of kids creeping into my room whenever doesn't make sleeping in the buff very exciting.
ReplyDeleteI sleep in full on satin pajama shirt/pants- menswear style. I'm always freaking freezing.
XL tshirt and cotton undies...I wander around the house in cozy flannels during the winter and linen in the summer..
ReplyDeleteMy birthday suit, except when those few days a month where I wear underwear, because I'm paranoid. Tmi?
ReplyDeletet-shirt and panties always

ReplyDelete@Disco- LMAO I feel the same way about sleeping in the nude. Also what if I get my aunt flo during the night? No thank you!
ReplyDeletePerfume and a smile.

Cowboy boots with spurs. Yeah they tend to tear the sheets, but it is what it is.

ReplyDelete@Robin..Yeah my friend said she was cleaning up her "cookie" before she drove to see her man up in OR. Lady garden is also excellent.
ReplyDeleteGlad I could make you smile Alma and Izzie. You've both returned the favor in the past!
I wear my baby because he WON'T SLEEP ANYWHERE BUT ON ME!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, it's the most frustrating thing in my whole life, including everything up until this point.
Way to make sure you don't get any siblings!
