Finally, The Today Show got an interview with someone that people are interested in hearing from. Once a year you get lucky. That aside, it is nice to hear from Valerie Harper about her cancer and how she heard the news.
I think it's so amazing that she's still going out there and doing all this press and appearances, when she has so little time left (possibly). She's being a great role model to others that may be in a similar situation, to keep going, don't just hide and crumble in your house. I bet she'll last much longer than the Doctors say, I've heard many cases where they ended up being flat out wrong on life expectancy. I pray she gets more time. We love you Valerie.
Ms Harper embodies the power of positivity. Her "intention to live each moment fully" is great advice for all of us. No one knows how long we have down here. A beautiful reminder to enjoy and live your life.
We need more nice people in the world sharing their niceness. You know I always judge people by how they treat the wait staff and baristas. IMO that best, most accurate predictor of a persons true character.
I dated someone who was horrible to waiters and it was only a matter of time before he turned that shit storm on me. I left his ass in a club one night and he ran to the parking lot yelling my name and I never looked back. True character is right!
Lovelovelove her. She's always been an inspiration to me -- well, okay, Rhoda might have REALLY been the inspiration, ha ha -- but now she's simply a marvel.
They always say the good go young although she like 70? Nonetheless her positive attitude and overall niceness should be emulated by all. And Dia I agree. If you are nice to those that serve you food or valet your car, whatnot, then you're a good person in my world.
I wish she could bottle her attitude because I would buy a case of it.
ReplyDeleteShe's amazing. I have no idea how I could handle such news

ReplyDeleteLove Rhoda, I grew up with MTM and Rhoda, and wish her all the luck and she is an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI am also impressed with that interviewer, Savannah? never seen her before. She too was classy.
I don't do morning TV. Like alcohol I don't think TV should be touched until 5 pm, ok maybe 4:30 for Young and Restless

ReplyDeleteHer character(Rhoda) was just so awesome to me when I was a kid. Sassy, and cool. I love Valerie.
