Oscar Pistorius Suicidal Says Friend - I Say No

A close friend of Oscar Pistorius says that the man who killed his girlfriend is now suicidal. I don't believe it for a second. The guy gave an interview to the Daily Mirror. If he was so suicidal then why does he want his bail conditions loosened? Why does he want his passport back? He knows he is probably going to get away with killing the woman and he does not seem like the kind of guy who has any remorse or shame about what he has done. I think he wants people to feel sorry for him so had a friend tell the media that he is suicidal.

  2. Awwwwww- poor guy! But he's in good company, O.J. was "suicidal" too.

All this sadness is going to wreck havoc with the continuation of his training. Don't people realize he's a hero???

  7. He wants his passport back and his bail conditions loosened so he can flee the country and never be seen again.

  9. In what other country would he find better odds of remaining a free man than SA?

  12. I don't know anyone in Australia and I wonder what they think, after all he's kind of a hero there. Do they see through this PR BS?

    1. @msgirl - South Africa? To answer your question anyway, we don't care much for him. One of our major tv networks did a pretty biased one hour news special on him towards the end of Feb called 'Bladerunner - My Lover, My Killer'.

  13. msgirl---South Africa.

Maybe a bit comparable to Lance Armstrong in his prime for us----A symbol for South Africans, an inspiration, more myth than real at this point, etc.
Remember how we felt about Lance beating cancer & winning that first TdF after?
SA is a much smaller country too, so they get such a world stage relatively infrequently.

  17. Remember when OJ was fleeing in the Bronco and AC Cowlings was whining to CNN about how OJ supposedly wrote a suicide note and was gonna shoot himself? Same dynamic here. Sociopaths will feign distress and depression to garner sympathy and to manipulate people.

  18. I don't feel sorry for him. Whether he is guilty of premeditated murder or not, he needs to man up and deal with the consequences of his actions. That's life. I still feel sorry for Reeva though. From what I've seen, she had so much more to give the world. The poor girl only dated the guy for 3 months! What a crappy way to go :(

  19. What's his address? I'd like to FedEx him a gift package of homemade cookies. Oh, and a rope, a hari kari sword, and some cyanide tablets.

  20. fuck that piece of shit. I say we deliver rope to his doorstep on daily basis and blast media coverage regarding the case 24-7 on giant speakers outside his residence... hopefully, give it a couple of days and this problem will solve itself.

  21. Actually, he released a statement saying the previous report was wrong and he isn't remotely suicidal.

  22. I have no empathy for this guy. I do wonder, if they put him in prison, what are they going to do about the legs? They're weapons.

  23. Yep. Sociopath. "Poor, poor me!" That's the one.
