In a move that caught Regina King completely off guard, Malcolm Jamal Warner dumped her after two years of dating and almost that amount of time living together
because "he wasn't feeling it anymore." (Try Viagra). He kicked them out of the house. Predictably, Malcolm blamed Cockroach and then had to hear an earful from Cliff about it over subs in the living room which he then gave to Malcolm when Claire arrived home from her conference sooner than expected. Cliff tried to make himself invisible using his sweater as camouflage but eventually he was caught when Denise made too much noise having sex with a guy from Hillman and Cliff made a run for it.
Regina has a son from a previous relationship.
I like her on Southland.

ReplyDeleteUgh i loved them as a couple :-( I read yesterday that the split was amicable and that he asked her and her son to move out. He didn't just kick them out into the street lol.

ReplyDeleteI was reading about this last night on Yahoo, and they had a photo gallery of Regina and Malcolm. As i clicked through the photos, I had this inner diaglogue going:

And then BAM!! For some reason Lindsay Lohan's most recent terrifying mugshot was the next photo, and I swear to sweet Jesus I let out a scream. It's like that prank where you're watching a video and then a there's a close-up of a witch screaming and it scares the shit out of you

ReplyDeleteRegina King was my absolute favorite part of 227. I had a little crush on her (still do) and I always love seeing her pop up every now and again in the most surprising places. I wish her nothing but happiness. I will wish Malcolm happiness, too, but he has to do a performance of "Justine" for me first.
She is so hot.

ReplyDeleteHere's my problem w/ that-How do you know she can do better? Or, that he isn't awesome, and she's the problem, if one exists? I can't stand to see where a famous couple break up, and whoever is judged the best looking, or has the best publicist to hide their little sibs, could have done much better. Macauley Culkin and Mila Kunis, Miley and Liam come to mind. No one knows what happens behind closed doors, or, what people value in the person they are with.

ReplyDeleteI agree though - nothing outrageous here. They weren't married, didn't have kids, both have jobs. Not like she's going to be homeless. Why would you want to continue living with some if they aren't feeling it.
But I loved how Enty wrote it with all of the Cosby references. That would have made an awesome episode!
Sounds to me like they drifted apart emotionally. I don't see what the big deal is.
