Lil' Wayne Has Epilepsy

Last night, Lil' Wayne gave an interview to a radio station here in LA. In the interview he says that he was close to death when he was admitted to the hospital a couple of weeks ago because of seizures.  "This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or seventh seizure," Wayne said. "I've had a bunch of seizures. Y'all just never hear about them. But this time, it got real bad because I had three of them in a row."

The thing is he does have a sizzurp issue too so that is probably not helping his epilepsy and his proclivity for having seizures. He says that with the third seizure he suffered his heart rate dropped top 30% of its normal function.

  1. Well, thinking about the nice picture TMZ had up while he was in hospital, where he was out with his little boy; all joking and commenting aside, I hope he has learned something and gets help to stop taking recreational drugs and sort out his treatment. His kids are the important thing here.

I agree with Mari, take your meds the way you should, listen to the doctors, and be there for your children.

  4. He is full of horse nuggets. He had too much sizzurp, lean, whatever you call it, ended up triggering the seizure, which isn't uncommon from OD'ing on that mess, went to the hospital, got out, had his kid, got papped, then ended up nearly dying, like TMZ said, and his crew threw a fit about and denied, because he can't stay off of it. He has a huge litter of kids he b*tches about having to pay support on constantly, and is 100% at fault for this crap. Like I posted here when it all went down, nope, not his 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, near death event, I dont think it's the last, either.

I have an aunt that has epilepsy. When I first heard about his seizures I did have sympathy for him but then I heard about this sizzurp shiz. I have no sympathy for people who get sick thru their own.fault--be it drug induced seizures, cirrhosis from alcoholism, lung cancer from smoking or what have you. Many people have illnesses and diseases thru no fault of their own (myself included) and then someone who has the gift of good health ruins it with drugs, alcohol, and/or smoking angers me.

    2. Exactly, too the 100th power. Sick people and drug addict sickness, not the same thing. Sorry. And not casting stones w/o being honest, I've made myself sick, dope sick, attempting pill withdrawal from too many, too long. Didn't deserve a bit of sympathy. Theres plenty of interview clips on YouTube of Wayne high during interviews. Also plenty of comments of him talking shit about paying for his kids care. F this little Bayou Gollum mo fo.

  5. I don't particularly care for him, but I'd hate to see him come to any serious harm, esp. considering all his kids...are the hangers-on helping him keep on w/his bad behavior, or are they unwilling/unable to get through to him that he's putting his life at risk?

  6. My son "Z" has epilepsy, and has had life-threatening seizures. Thank God we've learned his triggers, and he's on a med that has kept them under control for awhile now. lf Lil' Wayne wants to stay alive, he needs to get his act together - diet, sleep, meds, lifestyle.

  8. Well, if her were to go deaf like Fat Russ, I don't think it could make his music suck anymore than it already does.

I had the unfortunate experience of watching him perform on TV once. He was holding a guitar pretending to play it. Dude had to be high as hell to think that was a cool move. I was beggin for the Honky Tonk Man to do a run in and smash him in the head w/ the damn thing.

  9. my cousin's first husband had a severe case of epilepsy but kept doing drugs and drinking so it was no surprise that he died before age 30. You can't mess with this disease. It is hard enough to manage if you try to do everything right.

  12. If he has it, then he needs to take his meds and not be drinking and smoking and sizzzzurp-ing. Drinking alone messes with the epilepsy meds, making them basically nasty tasting, expensive tic-tacs. I have a seizure disorder that I control with meds, so, I don't do the purple drankkkkk. I get plenty of sleep, and try and avoid my triggers, which for me are flashing lights and also some smells.
