Blind Items Revealed

May 28, 2007

So this A list couple but in reality B listers when it comes to movies, have employees just like almost every other Hollywood couple. When they hire a new employee that employee must sign a confidentiality agreement which basically precludes said employee from spilling everything they see. Well this Hollywood couple has some definite things to hide including guests who visit for fun and games and some kids who are not as well behaved as one would imagine. It turns out that a recently fired maid was reminded when she was fired about the confidentiality agreement she had signed and thus couldn't say anything to anyone about what had gone on in the house.

The maid said she had never signed such a thing and a check of the her file showed she was in fact correct. The person who had hired her had been filling in for someone else and had neglected to get the maid to sign the requisite form. Even though she had just been fired, the employer tried to get the maid to sign a new form right then and there. She refused. Immediately after leaving the house, her next act was to call a few tabloids to sell her story. When they realized she hadn't signed an agreement they jumped hard.

When the celebrity couple were informed of the impending scandal they were going to face, they jumped even harder. They first offered the maid a new job with a better salary, but she didn't want to go back. She finally settled for a cool $100K to keep everything hush-hush. The employee who failed to get the original signature was fired but can't do or say anything because they had been given the confidentiality agreement and signed it.

  1. the maid should've held out for more money than $100,000. She could've made more spilling if you ask me.

  2. So, about the guests that would come over for "fun and games" is that implying that they were swingers?

    1. If I were a swinger I would not want to mess around with Madonna..yuck...Guy Ritchie on the other hand...

  4. $100,000 seems cheap in Madonna land.

  5. Yeah. The maid shoulda held out for mo money. But really I just wish she spilled the beans!
And what does he mean about the kids that aren't well behaved?

  6. that's what I'd like to know too, Sugar. Or on second thought, maybe not...

  7. I believe this- Madonna likes her greasy boy toys and didn't Guy say something once about not liking sex with Madonna, that it was like being with a piece of dried out beef jerky? Or am I just making that up? At any rate I can see them having some sexcapades.

Yep I read it as swingers and I'll bet that Lourdes has some issues.

Anyone remember that Guy is friends with Diana "room 23" Jenkins?

  9. So, in 2007, Enty posted a blind that included a reference to ill-behaved kids. Lourdes would've been 10 (and Rocco wasn't born yet.) What could she have been doing to deserve this?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Rocco was 6 or 7 at the time. I only know that because he was born a few months after my son (2000).

Doesn't surprise me that they were swingers. They probably had their choice of ready, willing and available people, thanks to that Jenkins woman.

  11. I thought all celebs get employees to sign confidentiality agreements.
If I was the maid I would have asked for more but still not a bad pay day for someone else's mistake.

    1. So, their famous friends that visited them had the misbehaved kids? Let's see who they were friends with: Gwenyth Paltrow & Chris Martin, Stella McCartney and I think Victoria & David Beckham (I hope it's not them because I adore them).

  15. Oh yeah, can you imagine a book titled "My life working with Madonna: Secrets revealed"

I'm not a Madonna fan so I wouldn't buy it but I would think it would get more than 100k for her.

  16. Maid def shld have gotten a cool million, which is what she wld hv made from book. And more.

she could have gotten some money from the other family as well... hate a lowballer

  18. Am I the only one that finds it odd that this blind doesn't even mention her being a singer? It just talks about their movies - very deceptive.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That's a good point, Madonna and Guy scrambling to quiet her so that the 'friends' aren't publicly humiliated as well. Imagine what a huuuuuge potential mess they squashed.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I am so disappointed with this maid! Still a chance Guy will talk someday, if Lourdes doesn't spill first with a Mommie Dearest type reveal.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I would've never guessed them due to the "Hollywood movie couple" thing.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This is such a great reveal! Different from most, I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  23. This is a good one. So was the Taylor Hanson one. Good job, Enty.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Great reveal, and ITA with everyone - she should have held out for more money!!

I'd bet the kids are/were entitled, spoiled brats who acted terrible every minute of every day. And yeah, obviously Guy and Madge were swinging.

    1. Oooh, ooh, remember how Madonna used to brag about how her children NEVER watched television, etc. She had some rediculous parenting ideas that she loved to talk about back then. I'm sure this maid knew....the rest of the story!

  25. No way would I have gone for less than a cool million.

But this doesn't surprise me. And I think it's Gwynnie - because her life is just so perfect, doncha know, and meanwhile her kids are bratty.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I bet the maid went to the DailyMail, and if so, I'll be reading the mail's captions closely.

    ReplyDelete
  27. You ever gonna reveal something that actually matters, Enty?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Lioness, you are correct. I'd looked for his birth date before i commented but obviously read it wrong. Thank you for the correction!

And I don't normally care about the children's blinds but this one irked me. This sounds like it came from someone with a personal axe to grind against the parents, and the kids got tossed in to fuel the flames.

  29. One of Madonna and Guy's couple friends was Sting and wife Trudie. Madonna once said she went to bed in Sting's home and woke up pregnant(with Rocco).

  30. Who's Diana Jenkins?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Mmm hmmm Diana Jenkins/Guy Ritchie http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1227895/The-snubbed-bankers-wife-good-friend-Guy-Ritchie.html

  33. The maid should have held put for more than a hundred grand, but I've heard Madge is really cheap (money-wise...I know she's already famous for being cheap in other ways), and perhaps she refused to budge on that number. I'm sure the maid could have gotten more than that by going to the tabloids, but I guess having a celeb cut a check is easier and faster.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Madonna must be a dragon to work for (no offense, dragon!) so $100k is far too little. Her staff should get that as a golden handshake as a matter of course. I would have held out for a million, but I wouldn't have lasted 10 minutes working with her.

And I agree that the blind was very misleading. Sorry, Madonna, I just don't think of you when it comes to movies. In fact, I try to forget your movies.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I don't think anyone would have been surprised by these revelations but I would love to know the details. As for the kids, at that time they were still little, all kids misbehave but would love to know what Lourdes is up to nowadays. I bet she's rebellious.

    ReplyDelete
  36. And Sting and Trudie are definitely swingers and don't try very hard to hide. I remember the picture of Madge and Guy coming out of a shop with a strap on in a shopping bag. Didn't they have some kind of sex contract/schedule worked out and posted in the house?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think the only information Madonna would pay to keep quiet is that she was the one who got dumped. The story that she hooked up with the athlete seemed hastily arranged, maybe to cover up that she wasn't the one who got left that time?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Too bad she wasn't ballsy enough to hold out for more.

    ReplyDelete
  39. My friends cousin worked as a Nanny for Madonna. When I asked my friend what she was really like (I choose to refer to her as a condescending trollop), my friend said "I don't know, my cousin signed such a tight confidentiality agreement she can't say a word about her job, as in, nothing"

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hey, it's Madonna. Nothing surprises me, except that someone could get by without signing an NDA. And I agree $100,000 is too little.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Too bad. The nanny could have cleared up the mystery of Madonna allegedly falling off a horse. That. and her "English" accent that comes and goes.

    ReplyDelete
  42. These blinds from 2007 -- who was even born in 2007, seriously?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have to say, if this was referring to swingers, is anyone surprised if Madonna dabbled in that? Because I'm not surprised. Also, I like Guy Richie's movies, but I think he would do anything that the money, er, his wife, told him to do.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Tabloids probably would not have offered more than $100k for a story, even a good one - it's just too difficult to make the money back in increased circulation. (At least with photos you can resell the publishing rights ad infinitum.) And the maid would have had had to give up her privacy and become a public figure, with all the uncomfortable scrutiny that involves.

The maid was probably not very well educated, possibly did not have English as her native language, and possibly was an immigrant to the UK and didn't feel entirely legally secure there.

Having to negotiate for a book, write a book, and then wait for a payout on a book might have been more than she could handle.

$100K is not that bad a payoff. I think she came off well. She can start her own business and get out of the the housekeeping business if she likes.
