Blind Item #4

This A+ list mostly movie actor describes himself as a family man. He must love families because besides his public family, his long time mistress has two kids of her own with the actor who financially supports them and does so with the blessing of his wife.

  2. That's nice! If he wife don't give a F why should we

  3. Too bad Bill Paxton isn't A+ list. Mr Big Love would be the best answer to this blind.

Tom Hanks produced Big Love. Maybe the subject of pluralistic marriage was closer to his heart than we knew?

  4. RDJ can afford it, as long as no one gets hurt(?)

  5. Ben Affleck maybe, although he is usually the go to guy for blinds

  7. Stuf like this doesn't bother me - they're all working it out, it's just not conventional. Can't Enty reveal the shitty mean blinds - the abuse, the really wrong blinds? Stuff like this one is different, but seems like everyone is ok with it. No shame there...

  8. Denzel Washington?

  9. Isn't this the same guy from the BI where he was visiting his mistress and her neighbours were shocked to see him in their neighborhood? I think the popular guess was Tom Hanks.

  12. and what about the kids? the children ofhis affair get to grow up woth the shame of being a secret. and the kids with his wife have hidden half sibs?

i just met a girl last weeked who learned on her 18th birthday that her dad has 2 1/2 sibs like this. she is so pissed about it (and she's 21 now). doesn't trust her dad, is mad at her mom for keeping a secret.

    kids have feelings!

  13. This screams Mark Wahlberg to me. He's always chest pounding about being a family man.

  14. @Me - My husband's cousin has a weird family story. She went away to college & became friends with a girl in her dorm. One day she was in her room & saw a picture on her desk of her family. They had the same dad! She asked her about it & then of course called home & found out that her dad, a truck driver who was on the road a lot, had another family in a town a few hours from hers. Her mom was the one legally married to him & stayed that way. I don't think her mom knew the family before then. He is very controlling, & they are still together to this day. Of course she & her sister have trust issues. We don't see him very often thankfully. He creeps me out.

    1. @Erin. When I was 14 I convinced my maternal grandmother to help me find my bio-father's grandmother's home (God knows how I remembered where it was since it was in the country outside Delhi.) As we pulled up, my "father" was sitting in the front yard with her and a 3-year old boy. My half-brother born on my birthday. He also told me all about the baby girl at home.

Totally failed to mention the three other daughters that were closer to my age. Oops. Found out about two of them a couple years later when I had another attack of the stupids and got in contact with his parents. The third one was hunted down by daughter #2 (or Stalker-Sister as I like to call her these days.)

  18. Is Ben Affleck considered A+ now after Argo?

  19. Erin and Gayled..Were they Gemini's? Just curious. But that would be totally weird to find out your dad had another complete family.

Makes me think Marky Mark because it doesn't say wife. Didn't they finally get married but were not for a long time?

    1. I think he's an Aries. I'm a little unclear on whether his birthday is the 22th or the 24th. His kids OTOH, out of eight, two Libras, three Scorpios and a Sagittarius (or two October, three November, one December.) Apparently he had a fertile period. I don't know what was up with the March and May sisters.

  20. I guess I'm the only one who read it as Brad Pitt? After all, he's effectively "married" after all this time, and Angie is unconventional enough that she possibly could be cool with it.

  21. Christian Bale. His wife will never leave him.

  22. Add me to the pile of people who have a half sibling, only she was painted a perfect image about her half sibling and dad being so close until I moved away and grew up. She and I met once and I honestly didn't dislike her but couldn't put my head around how my father effectively dumped me and then carried on his life with his 'replacement' daughter.

But we should all be buddies now, say what? ;) A lot of therapy told me that toxic mess was best to step around. To this day despite knowing I have three young children (my mother and sperm donor live in the same area) he's never once inquired about them or me unless I called and then acted like I should embrace him into my life.

  23. Sorry for the rant..and, not sure if this is true but it does ring a bit like Marky Mark.

  24. does so with the blessing of his wife

If the blessing is for more than just the obligation of giving them money... that is to say, if he has maintained a relationship 'above the boards' with the mistress/children and has his wife's knowledge and blessing... this is no big deal. I know quite a few folks with what could be considered unconventional families (poly relationships, multiple partners) and everyone's perfectly happy. If all parties involved are OK with this, then I'm OK with this.

  25. Fine with them, fine with me. If nobody's being deceived, and they're living the lives they desire, then good for all concerned. Endless are the ways of being human.

Doesn't make it less than an interesting blind, though.

  26. Probably Damon or Hanks, who have carefully cultivated the family man image. Both have been involved in TV projects, too.

Washington, Affleck, Costner, Walberg, Ford et al are indiscreet, well-known cheaters, even though they pretend to be family men.

I like Brad for this too.

  28. This is NOT okay, no matter how okay the adults in the situation may be with it. There are children and as CDAN commenters have proven, secret families produce kids (i.e., people!) who can't help but have some serious issues as a result of the selfish choices made by their "parents".

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wow...great blinds today! Tom Hanks is my guess.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It actually disgusts me that some of you claim some of these men are 'known cheaters'. You don't know it for fact, none of us know for fact. It's all gossip, whether it's this site or another one.

  31. I knew a guy who was adopted. His sister was adopted too. When he was was grown he got in contact with his bio-mom (I'm not sure who initiated the contact.) The thing is, the mom gave him up for adoption and then like a year later had a daughter, then two more daughters, all of whom she kept and raised. And they all expected him to be instantly close and family-like and I think he was pretty messed up by the whole situation. Just another reason to not keep siblings secret from one another.

As for this blind- it may be that the wife gave her "blessing" after the fact. Like, what's done is done, no sense in making the innocent children suffer but inside her heart is broken. I can't imagine a wife saying "Hey Honey, why don't you go out and get a mistress and have a couple of kids too while you're at it."

  32. My uncle(father's side) died recently and my mother, who is still close to his family despite their divorce went to the funeral. When she walked into the funeral home, my aunt ran up, and dragged her off into the little coffee drinking room to tell her that my uncle fathered a daughter while working off in another state. Nobody knew about her until she showed up at the funeral.
This is the south, there was a lot of blessing of my uncle's dead heart that day lemme tell ya! But, they didn't doubt her at all, because she looks a lot like me.

Weird. I figured it would be my horndog father who fathered the secret children.

  33. Denzel Washington.

  34. I was feeling Liev Schreiber since he's also pretty known for cheating. His wife doesn't seem to care and there are always family pics to be seen.

  35. Revealed on October 5, 2013 to be Denzel Washington.
