Best Of SNL Last Night

  1. Justin was great he really is like a cast member with his own signature characters.

He might as well join the show for a season.

Still not loving his new music, sounds like too much of a rip off between Bruno Mars and Robin Thicke. But it isn't horrible either.

  2. I think his opening monologue was the best. Loved all the old hosts coming back on.

  3. I keep thinking jt's new album sounds like the outkast album from 10 years ago.

He was so dope. he is spot on. Steve Martins comedic timing is unmatched

  5. I haven't seen the cast laughing that hard in years!! They couldn't get their lines out w/out trying to suppress giggles! Much different than the uneasy tension of Lindsay Lohan!!! Made me like JT even more!

  6. How can you not have mentioned the NuvaBling? Taking the piss out of Jessica's rumored gift to Justin of a diamond-encrusted cock ring!

It was fun to see all the old cast members.

  7. I fell asleep at 12:30, but I loved it all til then. His musical performance, the skits...I think he is so talented. And adorable.

  8. They did all the stuff we all like. I'm glad he is not above putting on a suit and doing ville skits because I love that shit!!!

  9. @paris I fell asleep then too. I also loved it. I'll catch up on the rest tonight. LOVE Steve Martin and the others!

  10. Reno, "bring it on down to VeganVille!"

I love when he does that skit. SO fucking funny when he dances in those costumes with those giant Mickey Mouse hands!

I think Justin should give the music a break, (Suit and Tie should be retired so we can all forget about it.It's like an ice pick in my ear drum.) and become a regular on SNL. I love his characters, and was so happy to see those wild and crazy guys, Akroyd and Martin, with the dick in a box characters!

  15. Justin is always so great on SNL. He is an OK actor but shines on this show. I'd like to think part of his naturalness comes from his experience on the Mickey Mouse Club.

  16. I loved seeing Martin, Ackroyd, Short, all the other long timers who showed up.
I can take Justin or leave him but he definitely kicked the other recent host named Justin's little bony ass. :)

  17. Agree with all the comments. This was humorous and refreshing. I love Steve and he doesn't look like he has aged a year.

  18. The second song he performed is thankfully much better than Suit and Tie.

  19. That was some funny stuff! I was dying with laughter! Love Steve and Dan!

  20. It was a great show!.. I couldn't help but notice that he didn't have a wedding ring on during the monologue or his musical performances.. not so shocking with all the costume changes but he's lucky if the media doesn't try to make something of it IF they noticed like my drunken & stoned 12am eyes did.

  21. @EIRod...He DID have it on during the monologue. I paused and checked!

  22. I thought the opening went a bit long, but Steven Martin was GREAT. (I only wish Christopher Walken had made an appearance.) The sketches (yikes, I almost typed SKIT; remember the last time we all made that mistake??) were all funny; the only one I didn't care for was the Caligula sketch. The Vegan Ville sketch was hilarious, love, LOVE those bits every time. I really wish Justin would sign on for a season with SNL.

  23. I haven't watched SNL since the last time he hosted and i like the new girls, especially those Champagne girls.

Suit and Tie has grown on me. Especially now that i've seen JT's moves with it. I love the way he moves. It's a summer song. Weirdly, i'm a huge Jay fan but don't like his verse.

but last night made me want two things. 1. a JT Best of SNL and 2. a Stefon movie.

  24. All I could think of was, George Carlin, RIP.

  25. @Mango - totally agree with you about the Caligula sketch. Everything else was golden! I especially loved the Veganville sketch as others have mentioned.

How have we not mentioned "The Girl with a D!@k" and the Beil lookalike actress????

And also, is Chevy Chase totally loosing it or was that his schtick? He seemed really, REALLY out of it, and not just for kicks :(

  28. My FAVORITE JT SNL sketches are Barry & Robin Gibb w/Jimmy Fallon and Target as Peg w/Kristen Wiig. They crack me up! JT was made for SNL.

  29. I am not a fan of his music, but he dressed well and brought a full band. This I can get behind completely. He did a great job hosting and it was awesome to see the old hands come back, though I am sad Steve did not get to pick his banjo.

  30. I taped it but did watch the opening and I loved it. I'm glad they included Candace Bergen she was a funny host back in the day. I'll have to watch the whole show this weekend

  31. I'm still giggling over "Yellow Quinoa in the Niiight."

The first half was better than the second half, but it was a great show. Music and all.
