Your Turn
At his show on Saturday night, Justin Timberlake referred to a woman as a b**ch before launching into Cry Me A River. Considering the song is about the Britney Spears breakup, everyone assumed he was referring to Britney when he said b**ch. Justin says no. It does not change the fact he is referring to someone. Who is it?
Maybe I'm just a negative nancy, but I don't believe he really likes Biel that much. So maybe he was just talking about his wife.

ReplyDeleteSelena Gomez, for tainting the song with Bieber's stank

ReplyDeleteFrom HuffPost:
ReplyDelete(T)he 32-year-old pop singer said something to the effect of, "Sometimes in life, you think you found the one. But then one day you find out, that she is just some bitch!" at the Super Bowl DirectTV party on Feb. 2. Then he began playing "Cry Me A River."
But Timberlake is refuting claims that he was referring to Spears, 31, whom he dated from 2000 to 2002, after first meeting as young kids on the "New Mickey Mouse Club." "Ok. I see you. Wouldn't disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though *with accent* #Respect," he wrote on his Twitter the following day.
Yeah, I think he was talking about her.
I don't think he was referring to anyone in particular at that particular moment.
ReplyDeleteHe was talking about what the song could mean to an audience now.
Even if at the time he wrote it, he meant the song to refer to Spears, creative works take on a life of their own and a meaning of their own, and people's feelings change over time, so a song he wrote thinking "Britney turned out to be just some bitch" doesn't have to mean that anymore to him or to us.
Now it's just a song about that feeling, which he had experienced at some point in his life.
I would think after all these years and being married to Jessica that he's not even thinking of Britney..How about Cameron? Did we all forget he went out with her for a while didn't he
ReplyDeleteProlly not about anyone.
That mofo is liar. U know dam well it was about Brit Brit.
ReplyDeleteI hate his poseur ass! (Do like the song, though). God, I wish someone would take his parking spot.
ReplyDeleteCameron
ReplyDeleteHe was probably just referencing himself. He's such a tool.
ReplyDeleteHe was just talking, IMO.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, he was talking about Britney. But it's not like he can come right out and say, fuck yeah I mean Britney, she's a bitch!
ReplyDeleteCome on guys, he's just playing by the rules of the game, can't fault him for that. And their story does follow along the lines of what he said, they were childhood sweethearts, thought it would last, she goes and screws the choreographer, who runs to JT and squeals, then he writes this song and puts a Brit brit doppelganger in the video, years later says sometimes you think you've met the one, but she just turns out to be a bitch! Yes, it's about Britney. But I would believe that Cameron cheated on him, especially based on " what goes around comes around" song lyrics, that he wrote at the time of the Cammy break up. In that song the lyrics go: was ready to give her his name, but then she cheated, his heart bleeded girl! (gawd! that writing), so it goes without saying that she left his feelings hurt.... etc ad nauseum.
It's Britney-he's unsuccessfully backpedaling.
ReplyDeleteHe's the original Taylor Swift, only Taylor has bigger balls.
ReplyDeleteMeh. No big deal- I refer to HIM as a little bitch all the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he thought of her as a bitch at the time they broke up. But in this case, I think he was just referring to the meaning of the song, not anyone in particular.
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine how different Britney's life would've been if she married Timberlake????
ReplyDeleteI truly believe JT left music because he saw Bieber coming and decided to wait him out.
ReplyDeletethe smug little shit...
ReplyDelete@Nellie, that's an awesome thought. One I'll hold onto. It means Bieber WILL be going away soon.
ReplyDelete@Jonathan Andrew Sheen -- I'm with you on this.
ReplyDeleteI bet you he loves that everyone is trying to figure out who he was talking about. He's just trying to make sure his name is out there drumming up the anticipation for his new album.
ReplyDeleteHe was totally talking about Britney. Nothing like bashing your first love.
Who does he think he is? Carly Simon? Well he's not! Of course it's BritBrit, and he's still bitter.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention Carly Simon tried to do this with her dig at Warren Beatty by later saying it was David Geffen. The clues of the song point to Beatty and not Geffen.
ReplyDeleteIt's Britney. Bitch.
ReplyDeleteHe'll deny it, b/c he has to. But it's her.
What a smart move. He will have everyone talking about who the bitch is when in fact he doesn't care. Or he is just a little bitch who is crying a river to himself. Boo hoo.
ReplyDeleteOh Maximus I meant to say I agree. They have less chemistry than a pair of black out drunk titmice.
ReplyDeleteIt really doesn't matter WHO it's about, it was designed to get people talking (and to take the attention away from anyone else) about him. Guess what, it worked. Marketing success. Who cares who it's supposed to be about?
ReplyDeleteJT is such an ASS. If his life is going sooooo well right now, and he is soooo happy with his "wife," why in the world would he even stoop to say this? I get that he is pandering to the audience, but, it's a cheap trick coming from someone who pretends not to talk about his private life. Of course, his love life is public knowledge, so people will speculate who he is publicly disrespecting. Does he really need to hurt Britney - or Carmen? Or Jenna Dewan? That song was about Britney, so she's the obvious reference, and does anyone really need to heap anymore suffering or humiliation on that poor soul?!?! Whenever I see her, i want to adopt her and let her be an 8 year old.
ReplyDelete#idontgiveash*t
ReplyDeleteFSP, I laughed out loud at your beautiful new pic. Hope ABlakely sees it.
ReplyDeleteJust my two cents here .. but .. who cares. What we should be taking about is his using the word bitch to refer to a woman. Nice .. way to stay classy there Justin. Let me guess .. calling a woman a bitch is somehow giving you cred as a bad ass, right?
ReplyDeleteHere is hoping some "bitch" flattens this punk.
Lance
ReplyDeleteThe song is about Britney, but I think he was referencing Scarlett Johanson, he did date her for a while remember? It was a battle btwn ScarJo and JessBiel for awhile way back when.
ReplyDelete10+ years later and he's not over brit-brit? if it was about her, dude; get some therapy and move on.
ReplyDeleteI think he was just talking generally about relationships....and he's right. Sometimes....you're just WRONG.
ReplyDeleteSure, the song was originally about Britney, but considering how Britney ended up, I think he knows he dodged a bullet there.
He should just shut his mouth considering he married a major real life mean girl bitch. Biel is known for being a snobby rude girl.
ReplyDeletePretty bitter for a newlywed. I wonder why...
ReplyDeleteI reject the idea as "fact" that he was referring to someone. He very well could have just been making an observation!
ReplyDeleteAll women. JT is a woman hater.
ReplyDeleteHe was talking about Britney, and he is clearly still angry at her for it. It must've affected him very deeply for the anger to have hung on for over a decade. H might even still be in love with her.
ReplyDeleteHe was talking about his new wife.
ReplyDeleteIf he was talking about Britney, that sure is a long-held grudge, and not very kind, since she just broke up with her guy.
ReplyDeleteYou're allllll wrong! This song is about Elisha Cuthbert who was engaged to JT's bff who he did the clothing line with. Apparently they were engaged and he found out that she was cheating on him so JT took the opportunity to bash her anonymously basically. Casting Scarlett was supposed to be because they resemble each other. I don't think anyone in their right mind would think that Scarlett and Britney look anything alike. BAM. THE END!
ReplyDeleteNo no @Kell Banga, 'What Goes Around ... Comes Around' is about Elisha Cuthbert. Cry Me A River came out less than a year after Justin and Britney broke up, it is DEFINITELY about her.
ReplyDeleteAs for the 'bitch' comment, hopefully he was just speaking generally. He just got married and it has been 10 years since he was with Britney, you would hope - especially considering what she has gone through and all Justin has accomplished since then - that he would have moved on by now. I'll believe him in this instance.
He wasn't talking about anyone, he was just trying to make everyone think he is a hard ass. OOOOH, SWEARS ON STAGE!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little bitch.
People hold grudges. Heck I know people who've been cheated on over 20 years ago still crying about it. Some people like to nurse their heartache like they do their liquor.
ReplyDelete@Marie, I was thinking the same thing...ohhh, what a badass, he swore on stage!! And then I realized he said the word 'bitch' and was like, wow, maybe HE'S the little bitch! Seriously, what guy throws out the word 'bitch' and tries to be all tough guy about it?! He's clearly still trying to come across as hetero.
ReplyDeleteIf he's still carrying around a ten year old grudge...well, then maybe there is hope for those two crazy kids yet. :-)
