When Vivienne Jolie-Pitt got cast in Angelina Jolie's movie Maleficent she got paid. Everyone is making a huge deal out of the fact she was paid $3000 a week. Yes, it is a lot of money, but it also happens to be scale for a SAG theatrical feature for a weekly performer with that size of a budget. Technically it is slightly less than $3K, but I think the original report just rounded up the $100. I realize that if she worked every week of the year she would be making $150K at the age of four, but that is not going to happen. The other girl that was cast was also paid the same amount as Vivienne. I am all for great headlines, but the thing is your kids would have been paid the same amount so I don't see the huge story.
I don't see what people are upset about. You do the work, you deserve the pay.

ReplyDelete@ Munch - I stand corrected. Vivienne's middle name is Marcheline, so she's named after her grandmother in that respect. So, I guess props to Angie and Brad for the name Vivienne!
