Mischa Barton is
trying to rent out the house she bought back int he day when she was on The OC. She paid a little over $6M for it back in 2005 and since then it has dropped in value every year. Mischa keeps trying to sell it for a huge profit though. It has been listed for sale for almost three years and she will only sell if she makes a profit which is not going to happen. It is a gorgeous house, but not worth $6M, let alone the $9M she wants for it. So, apparently she has decided to rent it, or at least try to for $35K a month. Well, it will keep her store in London afloat and allow her to pay the property taxes on her place.
Dating Cisco Adler didn't help....

When I was watching that Fern Cotton documentary I assumed that was her parents house because she hadn't been working in so many years. She needs to sell it ASAP so she can pay some bills and her debts to her "sober coaches" off. Has she not learned anything from Lohan? ReplyDeleteI'm assuming her house is underwater. As someone whose home is also underwater she certainly has my sympathy. But I'm certainly not going to try to sell it for more than I paid for it. If we thought we could get enough to pay off the mortgage and come out even, we'd sell. She needs to get the same attitude.

ReplyDeleteHow on earth did Mischa Barton ever earn enough on the OC to buy a house that cost a little over $6m?
She must have had to pay federal & state income taxes, and CA property taxes, and she must have had to fork out at least 20% of her earnings to her manager and her agent before she even filed her federal return.
Did she get paid $5m/year starting from the first season of OC? Unpossible.
She was dating she grandson of billionaire Marvin Davis in 2004...that probably paid very well.
