It remains to be seen whether Mindy McCready killed her boyfriend. I think she did. One thing is for certain though and that in the month since it happened, she has turned into the old, unstable Mindy. Yesterday family services removed both of her children from her care and a judge ordered that she be committed to a mental health facility for 21 days. Mindy has been abusing substances and admitted such to the court yesterday. I hope the two kids end up with her mother. Her mom had been the guardian for Mindy's oldest child until recently.

DeleteShit. Things just keep getting worse Mindy. Whenever Mindy is in the press, I think of all the crazy things Britney did and how close she was to losing the battle with her demons. Really close.

ReplyDeleteI randomly put on some celebrity rehab on Netflix the other day as background music while I cleaned and ended up getting really sad. There was Mindy, who seemed like the most mature and sweet person there, and the guy from Alice in chains who seemed very nice and down to earth who ended up dying from drugs later and the real world guy who also od'd and left behind a kid :((( I hate it when shit gets "real". Those three were easily the most likeable people (and troubled, sadly) on that season.
ReplyDelete@Laura, I agree. I saw a few episodes back in the day and Mindy seemed the most stable out of the bunch (at that time). Kari Ann Peniche was insufferable. I still can't believe her name was brought up for that Catfish show.
DeleteIts incredibly sad, and its meant to show how awful addiction is. From that show, jeff conway, alice in chains guy and rodney king all dead from addiction. Dr drew says they put their patients in the ground all the time, and he really doesnt know any other way to help them. He wanted to show hiw unglamourous addiction is.

ReplyDeleteYeah. Celebrity Rehab is too "real" for my blood. I've watched, especially the earlier seasons, and it's just so depressing. And so many of the people on it relapse. I feel so bad for anyone with addiction.
ReplyDeleteIt seems really irresponsible to pin this man's death on her before she is actually charged. I know she's been flip-flopping on her story, but I do subscribe to the whole "innocent until proven guilty" thing.
Lotta Kari Anne is insufferable, the definition of a woman child. Has anyone else noticed that one of the counselors Jen is currently trying to edge in as a new RHOBH via her best friend Brandi?

ReplyDeleteThis is a ploy to make her unstable to stand trial? If she's not in jail she can always go visit the kids at her mom's. But if she ends up behind bars, kids and Grandma will be on the other side of the glass.
ReplyDeleteJennifer Gimenez use to be a popular model back in the day...more so on runways than print. She became good friends with Brandi years ago through modeling - you should see both of their old modeling pictures, beautiful! She's actually a very sweet person.
ReplyDeleteI saw the one episode of Celeb Rehab with Tim Conoway (where he was at death's door) and it gave me such a huge case of the sads I never watched it again. :(
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Mindy did it or not, but it's always tragic to see people with talent go up and fall hard. I remember reading a book by someone in H'wood who said celebrity was a machine that will eat you up, mold you, and spit out their idea of what you should be.
