I actually thought Michelle Williams and Jason Segel would last awhile. It turns out I was wrong. I never thought it would be a 20 year thing because Michelle can be a little off putting and quirky and is method in everything she does where Jason is more of a free spirit which is why I think it had a chance to last a long time. Spike Jonze and Michelle was so brief because Spike is not free spirited and they just clashed and clashed after the third date of course. I know Jason loved Matilda and not being able to see her is going to upset him as much as not seeing Michelle. This was a Michelle breakup and not a Jason breakup.
Ugh. Love is dead. I really liked these two. I'm gonna go listen to Lady L and maybe eat my feelings.

You know, I've never liked her. She looked too old in Dawson's Creek so that for one creeped me out. She looks great now for her age, but that's the same age she looked when she was in DC. Then again Katie still looks 15 so who knows.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, after Heath died she pulled the "poor me" crap. Apparently she forgot that they hadn't been together for a couple of years. But holy hell, he does a fantastic Joker,wins a posthumous Oscar and she is a 'grieving widow' or something.

@ablake i don't recall her ever doing the "poor me" when it comes to heath. she talks about heath when she is asked about heath.
Deleteand do some research, her & heath broke up in september of 2007 and he died in january 2008, so no they weren't broken up for a couple of years before he died they had only broken up four months before he died.
When i read the three of them had moved into manhatten apt but she kept her brooklyn apt, i thought, hmmm, not 100% committed. I wish them all well.

ReplyDeleteI think Michelle's naysayers have been too hard on her regarding her feelings toward Heath. I get the feeling that she broke up with him because of his drug use, not because she was no longer in love with him. And when he died, I think she blamed herself for not saving him.

And she does a child with the man, a child she has to raise by herself because Heath overdosed.
In other words, Michelle has handled a tough situation pretty much the same way most of us would--with doubt, sadness, and regret. I don't think she's bad.

My parents seperated when I was young, and when my Mother died, my Dad cried---mostly because he knew what that meant for me, but he was sad also.
You have to be very careful who you let your children get attached too. I'm not crazy about Michelle Williams but when it's up to you and you alone to raise your kid, letting them meet every boyfriend is nuts. Kids without dads in their lives asre needy for male attention. Yes, i know they dated for "a whole year". After a few months people now think it's serious but when you break up, there is your broken heart and your child's as well.

ReplyDeleteI agree! It did, in the beginning, to seem like such an odd, random pairing. Michelle seems to.go.for the intense, brooding, 'fix me' type of guy. I was surprised.when they got together, but happy for them. I hope she finds a guy just as great as Jason

I'm going with Michelle is still not over Heath also. I read or saw an interview with her & she said she keeps her hair short because that's the way Heath liked it. He died over 5 years ago & they broke up before that... she's definitely still holding on to him.
