Lady GaGa Says She Is Injured - Cancels Tour Dates
Yesterday Lady GaGa announced her joints are swollen. Because of that she is canceling shows for the next week. Uh huh. Meanwhile this announcement of her pain and injuries comes at a time when she would like everyone to please start liking her again. She doesn't like people booing her in the streets or yelling at her about calling her employees slaves. The, "I will show you how you can be Queen of my universe," taunts are a bit much too. In her announcement, GaGa says that she was unable to walk after a recent show and had not told any of her slaves that she was injured because honestly they would not have cared, but she thinks they would have stopped her from performing. Umm, that is probably their only free time. Anyway, if you live in Chicago, Detroit or Hamilton, ON you are out of luck.
Not fair, Enty. Gaga has Lupus and swollen joints mean she's having a flare, pretty serious stuff. I don't know why she has said she is injured, she's already said publicly she had Lupus, or at least the markers. That was a few years ago, maybe she's hoping people forgot.
ReplyDeleteI'm in Detroit and per facebook, I have some very disappointed "friends."
ReplyDeleteGo away GooGoo
ReplyDeleteI have lupus, and swollen joints during a flare are no joke.
ReplyDeleteI have autoimmune disease too and a flare up is a misery. Alot of people dont understand how u can be fine one minute and sick for weeks on end. It stinks to be judged, when its something you'd happily give ip if u could. Not a fan but i wish her health.
DeleteI didn't know she has Lupus. That sucks.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say something snarky, but I don't want to be a total bitch.
She's just misunderstood!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe take the performances and antics down a notch if you have lupus.
ReplyDeleteWhen did LG talk about having lupus? If it's really that serious she should just reschedule the dates for her "little monsters."
ReplyDeleteI don't remember when she said it, sometime around when she first broke out. The reason I remember so well is because I have MS, so I instantly feel connected to anyone with an autoimmune disease.
ReplyDeleteLupus is a disease with flares and remissions. I do 5ks and mud runs when I'm OK, and lay around in crippling pain when I'm not. It confuses people, but I refuse to let this steal any more of my life than necessary. That being said, I still think Gags is a bit of a shit.
ReplyDeletemsgirl, so many times I have "read" your name as ms. girl , not msgirl. Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteEntward, how could you NOT KNOW Ga Ga..has lupus. Really..
Gaga said she was borderline positive for lupus. She does not have it, it just runs in her family.
ReplyDeleteYeah I used to like Gaga, but she's become much too much. Fame isn't good for most people, they become so full of themselves. But at least Gaga has talent, unlike so many celebs. And underneath all her neurosies I think she has a good heart.
ReplyDeletemsgirl, you and me both. I loved Love Games and almost everything up until Alejandro, but nothing since Alejandro. At this point, she's a parody of a parody. Nothing against her, but if I were to be offered the chance to hear another song by her, I would likely say no.
ReplyDeleteKneepads reports she has synovitis, and doesn't mention Lupus.
ReplyDeleteThe press release we received at work states 'synovitis' (severe inflamation of the joints) as the cause. Shows are postponed (at this point), not cancelled.
ReplyDeleteIf she has lupus, that explains it.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, synovitis? I do wonder. Swollen joints are a symptom of Lupus, and she does have the genetic markers, with a borderline positive blood test. If she had no symptoms previously she wouldn't be said to have Lupus, yet, since the blood tests aren't great indicators and could have been because she wasn't in active remission - it's a hard to disease to dx. Since swollen joints are a main symptom, I immediately thought of Lupus, so either she hasn't gotten a firm dx OR she really has synovitis! Anyway, I hope it's the latter because I wouldn't wish Lupus on anyone!
ReplyDeleteAgent It - yeah I liked the double meaning of my name, lol. I am still a girl even tho I'm ooooold!
I'm giving her a pass on this one. Swollen joints, no matter the cause, are painful and reason enough to postpone a few grueling shows. When she starts feeling better, then I'll be happy to join in the snark.
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a rehab rumor about her a while ago? I don't trust that this is the truth...
ReplyDeleteYou know what, Enty has really become the new old version of a bitchy Perez Hilton lately.
ReplyDeleteI'm not the biggest Gaga fan, but poor thing! Hopefully she gets some relief soon. I can't even imagine how painful this must be.
He certainly has a STRONG bias against people he doesn't like.
ReplyDeleteHe certainly has a STRONG bias against people he doesn't like.
ReplyDeleteI've thoroughly disliked her ever since she talked about how designers who use fur are just expressing themselves as artists or some such bullshit. Maybe one of her crazy little monsters will make an outfit out of her. Wouldn't that be a work of art!
ReplyDeleteOkay, the Gaga-suit comment was a little over the top. Sorry about that.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading all that testimony that got out I have little or no sympathy for GaGa's problems, but joint pain I have sympathy for. Hope she's better soon so we can slap her down!
ReplyDeleteOh, is that why Gaga can't dance well?
ReplyDeleteGaga only said she "kind of" has lupus. Gaga employs a makeup artist who apparently does have lupus.
She does not have Lupus. It runs in her family and she thinks she may get it some day.

ReplyDeleteThe designer never mentioned lupus, but he did dish on some other issues she has; I'm sure you can draw your own conclusions.
ReplyDelete@yawn, no we can't, please explain more of these issues pretty please? :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with those who've said they liked her in the beginning. I just can't with her crazy antics sometimes! But I still hope she's ok, Lupus is no joke.
@AAE - hard drugs and EDs.
ReplyDeleteI just went through a period of three weeks where I had serious pain in my feet and legs. It hurt to move, especially waking up in the morning. Never experienced anything like it in my life. I exercise and work out and this condition comes on me. Turns out what caused this sudden pain, swelling and ankle bruising was a slight lung infection. I was given steroids to knock it out. The pain has thankfully dissipated and I'm back to walking and running normally but I still have a nuisance cough. Maybe the Bieber can loan me some of his sizzurp.
ReplyDeleteHeadline at Slate: LADY GAGA CANCELS APPEARANCES IN MOST DRAMATIC FASHION POSSIBLE
ReplyDeleteShe's Eh to me, but I just wanted to add to msgirls comment about diagnosing lupus. It is very difficult to diagnose. It also runs in my family. I have one family member that has been diagnosed, and another on that has crazy joint inflammation, but has always tested borderline for it.
ReplyDeleteI live in Hamilton, ON. We'll miss Gaga.
ReplyDeleteAt least we still have the Who to look forward to.
I have had an autoimmune disorder for years, about 18 months ago I had a severe flare up with horrible pain in my joints that I thought was never going to end. But, somehow, it never entered my mind that I was any type of royalty or a slave owner. Guess I was keeping it real.
ReplyDeleteIf she has lupus, it's extremely painful. Hope she gets the right medical help now that she is taking some time to work on this.
ReplyDeleteLiving in chronic pain is horrible.

Agreed! Theres a fine line between snark and flat out nastiness. Gaga has postponed some performances those people are not out of luck, they are just disappointed because they have to wait.
uk daily mail update, the entire tour has been cancelled. "Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover."
