Ethan Zohn And Jenna Morasca Have Split

This is not a relationship I saw ending. After a decade together, cancer survivor and Survivor winner Ethan Zohn and his Survivor winning girlfriend Jenna Morasca have split. With as much as these two have been through and the struggles they faced, I didn't think anything would tear them apart.

  1. Awww, this makes me sad. I didn't really keep up with these two, but I thought they were good together.

  6. Really sorry to hear this. They seemed like such a good couple but illness and time can take a toll on any relationship. Good luck to them both. They gave it a good try.

  7. I had the biggest crush on Ethan when he was on Survivor. Those curls! That smile! His generous spirit!

This is sad. They seemed really happy. I was bummed they didn't make it farther on Amazing Race.

  13. Sometimes when there is no drama there is nothing in common either to keep them together.

  14. I noticed she has been doing some appearances and Survivor related things without him--but I assumed it was to do with his health.

I like him so much and have felt so bad for what he's been through-and she's been so good to support him--after losing her mom to cancer.

I wish them both the best--I think they are good people.

  17. That's a shame to hear because they have been through alot. But maybe, and someone can correct me, it seems that if one partner goes through, and survives a life threatening situation, the couple doesn't tend to stay together for whatever reason. For example, Melissa Etheridge and her wife. There was another celebrity whose marriage broke up after she or he, beat cancer, and we can't forget Lopez and his kidney doner wife. Perhaps surviving major illness gives both partners perspective and realize they weren't meant to be in it for the long haul. Or maybe the sick partner started loathing the healthy partner. Or vice versa.

  19. I just listened to Jenna on one of Rob Cesternino's podcasts. The podcast was intended to be a 10 year reunion of the Survivor Amazon cast, but there were only a handful of cast members who participated. Jenna was the only female on the podcast.

(She won, if you don't know.)

I figured they had broken up because Ethan's name never came up when the cast was describing what they are doing now. Jenna said she was going through a lot of changes and is living in her parent's house.

She made a number of very vulgar sexual comments on the podcast, trying to draw attention to herself. At least it seemed like that to me. Maybe that is the only way she feels she can get attention---for her looks.

She'd better hurry, if so. Time flies when you're trying to stop it.

  20. @Basil - I definitely agree with you. My marriage started going bad after I survived spinal meningitis and I divorced my ex two years later. I wasn't sure that my illness played a role then, but thinking back, that's when I started wanting more from life and different things I guess.
