Yesterday when I Tweeted about Chris Brown and faking hundreds of hours of community service, I guess I expected more outrage. I know all of you are outraged, but I think to a degree everyone knows that nothing will happen to him and it really does seem like celebrities are given a break the rest of us are not. With the help of his mother, the Richmond Police Dept, including the Chief Of Police there, and many others, Chris Brown faked his way to completing his community service obligation. According to
The LA Times, the DA here does not even want to revoke his probation. They just want him to perform it here. So, really there are no repercussions at all. None. Chris' mom obviously feels that beating women is fine or she would not have helped Chris. The Richmond Police Department obviously feels like it is ok that Chris beats women or they would not have helped. That is what I don't understand, How can a police force join in lying about what some a-hole did? Did they pay the police chief? Did Chris Brown give him women? Why would you destroy any reputation or endanger your job to help pond scum like Chris?

He thinks he's God's gift. This is all playing together just fine, as things do. To me, life is like a chess match and you have to wait for all the other pieces to be perfectly in place for something truly spectacular to happen. Such as Lindsay, she's had many chances, many documented fuck ups, and all of those things are going to combine to create an unholy or holy depending upon how you look at it, trifuckta for her life. A cousin got busted by cops in a midwestern state for having several kilos of cocaine in his car. When the feds came in and it was weighed, over half a kilo had 'disappeared'. I understand why you're angry, but I also understand why just curious is angry. The anger of black Americans isn't going to disappear in a generation or two.

ReplyDeleteI'm finding it strange that all of a sudden some other racist trolls (there's a new one in addition to 888 named Shmukky Putz) have started commenting on CDAN. After all the catfish stuff in the news with that Notre Dame football player, I'm suspicious of everyone (the same person starting fights in comments?) I have no idea, but I'm not going back to ignoring trollish comments. This is not the same as approval - hopefully they will take the hate elsewhere if we stop responding

ReplyDeleteI totally agree that the anger is justified. Our system is broken and failing people. It upsets me, and it enrages me. I threatened to throw a guest out of my house last week for being disrespectful about this very topic. Again, my whole beef in general (politics, religion etc) is the name calling and hate that gets us nowhere. I like respectful dialogue, but I don't get to make the rules. Ha - I wish!
Anyway, lady. I'll see you around. I need to get my kiddo ready for school :)
