Chris Brown & Adele Are Working Together

When Adele starts working on her next album she will have lots of people helping and contributing and apparently one of those people will be Chris Brown. All those rumors that she was mad at him or screamed at him was just a photo taken while she was talking and he was not. Turns out they could not stop complimenting each other about how much they admired the other and now the love fest has turned into working together on Adele's next record. I know she will have people helping her, but don't you think she can find enough people to help her without having to resort to someone who beats women and others and shows no remorse for anything.

  3. Sooo disappointed.

  4. This makes me think she's an idiot.

  5. Won't be buying or illegally downloading that one.

    2. She can write music that makes you want to kill yourself while collaborating with a guy who would like to kill you. Perfect.

  7. How disappointing. I was really digging her after that photo came out where she looked like she was yelling at him!

  9. @rejecetedcarebear- LOL I love your honesty

Adele is the kind of musician who doesn't need ANY gimmicky collaborations to boost interest in her music. How disappointing.

  10. So, I was listening to Carson Daly's morning radio show on my way to work yesterday, and he was talking about Chris Brown and his personal feelings toward him vs. his ability to enjoy his music. He said he was able to compartmentalize the two, and basically even though Chris Brown is a huge douche, he makes some good music. He compared it to Michael Jackson and all the allegations against him. Unfortunately, I like a lot of Chris Brown's songs. I'll be grooving along, and then they'll announce that it is Chris Brown, and then I hate myself for a minute for liking it. So regardless of how much I hate Chris Brown, I'm sure his song with Adele will be excellent and I'll probably love it (and hate myself for loving it). Wow, that ended up being long. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!!!

  11. I take back my comment when I said "Adele can do no wrong".

I really do believe that people can change, but in his case it has not been proven yet. I hope she will realize that he is using her.

  12. Annnnd fuck Adele.

  13. Bad move on her part. Sure it will generate some attention, but she can do that on her own because she is truly talented. Not sure why she thinks she needs to do this. Count me in the disappointed ranks.

  14. I hate to say it, VIP, but you're right. It may sound awful, but I was surprised to find myself relieved that I could enjoy MJ's music again, only when I knew he couldn't hurt any more kids. awful.

That said, I don't think CB is half an MJ, talent-wise. Not that you're saying that, VIP, I'm just saying when anyone compares their TALENT levels, I get confused there.

  15. I guess Adele admires autotune. Maybe I haven't heard enough of CB's music, but what I have heard was autotuned. I mean, I could sing good autotuned.

It's really disappointing when celebrities you admire support rapists, women beaters, thieving party girls, violent crackheads and the like. I guess getting to work with these people outweighs any sort of ethics. Hollywood is a lot like Congress - a good 'ol boys club.

For all we know, this is a big rumor that will come to nothing. Singers say they will work together all the time, but then don't.

For all we know, Adele was just shooting the s*** about this or just going along to seem polite. Until we hear a song featuring the two, it's a rumor.

  18. Dumb cunt. Never had any use for her before...and I actively dislike her now.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thought she had more integrity than this.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I've a feeling she's being slightly disingenuous, given her lack of rushing to returning to the studio. She's never really needed a gimmick before.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Is Adele aware that she will be working with Chris Brown? I don't buy the Enty speak on this part.

VIPblonde: I know how you feel. CB has a song called "Beautiful People" that I really like, but I feel bad about enjoying it. Michael Jackson is a great example of that. Klaus Kinksi. Rosemary's Baby is one of my favorite movies, but Polanski is terrible personally.

Am I supposed to deprive myself of something I enjoy because someone on the other end is a bad person? What does that have it do to me? And if I use that harsh of a scalpel toward my entertainment, what do I do with those in my real life who mess up?

    Food for thought.

I try to keep in mind that a lot of these artists and performers are less than stellar people, and that compartmentalizing their work from their transgressions is the way to go. But it's tough.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Exactly. If we all used our morals to pick forms of entertainment, we would be stuck with the Osmonds or Taylor Swift. Thank you Libby and VIP for bringing up the Michael Jackson point.

  23. I refuse to believe that

Wow, I like her way way way wayyyy less now. She's being supportive of, and supporting, backing, approving of, helping, working with, making friends with a violent toddler brained woman beater, good job Adele. I'll never buy anything of yours ever. You've now officially made yourself a part of the Chris Brown boycott. Good job.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I'm with Layna Day. Maybe she said it sarcastically, but this is another one that I will believe it when I see it.

I was thinking about the compartmentalizing the other day. I can't STAND Alec Baldwin, but I love him on 30 Rock, SNL and in that movie It's Complicated. I also was reluctant to believe the Kobe Bryant Colorado accusations because I loved the Lakers (especially KB at the time) and my brain just wasn't accepting it. Sometimes I wonder if we hadn't seen the photos of Rhianna (but definitely heard rumors) if CB would've moved on from the controversy by now

    ReplyDelete
  26. This makes me dislike her too. Why does everyone support this scumbag?

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Layna Day - I love the song Beautiful People too and the one he did with Jordin Sparks - No Air. I still thinks he's a DB but I know there are many floating around the entertainment industry. I'll be interested to see if this collaboration really happens.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh Adele. Don't make me dislike you, because usually I adore you. But Chris Brown is NOT okay!
Anyone read the Katy Perry story about her wanting to be seated far away from Rih & CB because she doesn't approve? I hope it's true. I can't believe people are suddenly okay with him...

    ReplyDelete
  29. Regarding the illegal downloads, Ryan Tedder told me it was okay. As long as if you like something you spread the word and tell other people.
I will always buy the CD/Movie if I like it...but there have been so many albums with just the singles and then mediocre filler tracks!

Sunny: don't get me started on Kobe Bryant! I don't like him at all, which is better than the borderline hate I had for him before! The rape accusation and payoff was bad enough, but then he seemed like such a petulant child during the process. And he's a jerk toward his teammates. It's really changed how I watch the Lakers, but should it? Kobe won't play forever, but the team will still be there.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Layna Day said it perfectly. We're all human and we all make mistakes.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love Adele, im a HUGE fan. But if you listen to her songs you can notice how immature in relationships she can be ("I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited" = crazy ex who stalks you and cant move on for example).
    So no surprise here.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous8:34 AM

It's a complicated situation. Everyone's tolerance level for different things is, well, different. What I can handle isn't the same for you, and vice versa.

It comes down to what our personal comfort valves can accept.

We have to make our own choices.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think it would be good for him to work with a strong, powerful woman in some capacity.

I don't like him but he isn't going away--so the only hope is he somehow learns from some of his experiences.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Adele needs to fire her management team because they either a.) came up with the idea of this collaboration themselves or b.) didn't stop Adele from doing it if it was her idea.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't believe Adele would fo this. Wasn't she yelling at Brown for not giving an ovation at grammy's?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I FEEL VINDICATED!!!
    :-D
I havent liked Adele since last years Grammys whn she flipped off her producers. That told me right then she was a snotty entitled brat. She gets called a "diva" because for some reason this behavior is acceptable in a female. I can not stand Adele and now by kissing Chrissy's ass she's proving my point. Go back across the pond and stay there!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't know what's worse, the hard on Enty has for Chris Brown or ppl who now hate and find Adele disgusting for her PERSONAL CHOICE. It's a damn shame Chris Brown is the only individual who was ever involved in a domestic violence case. I see Enty you still haven't touched on that disgusting Jay Mariotti case either. The former now once again current employer of ESPN who beat, stalked and pulled out hair extensions of his girlfriend. I guess because Chris beat Rihanna once and Jay did his shit over a period of time. I don't condone violence at all. I also lost an aunt to it, but to publicly bash and denounce people for shit that you believe is wrong is ridiculous. Especially people you do not even know. Get a life.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I read a few years ago that Carson Daly pulled Christina A's extensions out (ouch!) during a session of rough googling. He's not exactly gentle with the ladies apparently.

How long does it take the public to forgive? It's going on four years. Rihanna and her family have forgiven CB.

    ReplyDelete
  40. No one cares about some ESPN employee....that's why Enty doesn't cover that. The world will ease up on Chris Brown when he stops showing the world that he is a self entitled, remorseless DICKHOLE. If he really was sorry, he would have changed his ways and his attitude after he kicked the shit out of his girlfriend. And yeah, I'm sure that was the ONLY time he beat her, lol.

Until he starts behaving like a MAN, he will not be forgiven and everyone will always be waiting for him to do the next stupid ass thing. He never lets us down in that regard.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well fuck you, Adele! (if this is true)

    ReplyDelete
  42. As a victim of abuse who escaped, I am still not getting why RiRi is back with him. Abuses really never change. I would never ever go back to living that kind of life. Still recovwring from it!

    ReplyDelete
  43. So she doesn't just have bad taste in clothes.

Also, my husband describes her music as "mew mew mew I'm so sad music."

  46. Please god no. But do we know this is actually true? Hasn't happened yet.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Disappointing but that's the way show business works.

    ReplyDelete
  48. RIght or wrong for doing this if RhiRhi is okay with dating him she's certainly sending out a signal to everyone in the biz that 'it's okay.' Even if it isn't.

    ReplyDelete
  49. My comment disappeared. Weird.

    I hope it's like what @Layna said, a sarcastic throw-out.

VIP, Layna, et al - completely agree! Alec Baldwin is such a jerk but Jack on 30 Rock, I adore. Polanski is d*bag, but I love some of his movies. David Boreanaz (I know, RIGHT?) is a cheating a*hole but the best Angel ever.

Sometimes I wonder if it's best not to know the behind the scenes stuff about people. It's like meeting your third grade teacher in the tampon aisle. (Happened.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm skeptical. Of ALL the people in the world to collaborate with, Adele is eager to get in the studio with HIM? Really? Why? Forget the abuse for a moment. Still, why him? Doesn't that seem random?

As for the pics, one snap of them looking chummy doesn't tell a full story. A few days ago, we were all told that she reamed him out. We even had a picture to prove it.

    1. I agree I think CB & Adele would be a total mismatch. I think someone just threw this out there & it's a rumor that's grown into this big stink. Lucikily on Canada I don't hear alot of CB music!

  51. I don't know bout y'all but the first article I look for on CDAN each day is the Chris Brown one. That discussion is always going to be the liveliest one of the day.

    ReplyDelete
  52. There's not one article out there that I could find that says they are going to work together. Except for another blog that picks up Enty's "stories" and repeats them verbatim. This is either pure BS or a real scoop.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't know why we all expect people whose music we like to be likeable IRL? I mean, maybe Adele is batsh*t crazy too, who knows?

I do the same as above, feel guilty about liking a song by someone who is not a nice or law-abiding person (Bing Crosby for one, totally messes with my Christmases, because I still have to hear him. Then I feel bad). Same with acting! I can't stand Sean Connery since I read that he likes to smack women around. Sometimes I wish I hadn't read those things, the old ostrich head-in-the-sand approach. Or that I was better able to compartmentalize.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm disappointed. I usually buy albums instead of songs, but on this one I'll have to just buy the songs he didn't help on.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Fist Brown is morally repugnant. I don't watch Mel Gibson movies either. Not even Road Warrior!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Besides being a beater, Chris just seems sooooo trashy in general! Ugh! I can't believe Adele would want to collaborate with someone like that! I really hope it IS just a rumor.

    ReplyDelete
  57. OMG NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Why, Adele? WHY??? I just can't with this. Sorry girl, I'm over you now. **cries in her glass of wine**

    ReplyDelete
  58. Goodbye Adele. I am sad that our relationship had to end so soon, but I deserve someone better than who you will ever be.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I just lost respect for her and know what album I will NOT be purchasing...STUPID!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Vip I totally agree with u cuz I like his music and hate him too. Digal, I think this news is offensive because she made a buttload of $ and received awards for an album that was made up entirely of songs trashing a man who didn't treat her right, yet now she is willing to work with a male who was a bad significant other as well. She looks like a total hypocrite

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'll believe it when I see it. If it is true, I have lost all respect for her.

@Tuxedo, Brown repeatedly physically attacks people. What is to forgive, when he doesn't seem to have an ounce of remorse? I'm also not sure what rough googling is. Pulling hair and beating the shit out of multiple people are two very different things.

  63. Well, clearly being an abusive wad in Hollywood is career gold. I have never listened to Adele's music but the impression I got from what I've read about her was that she wouldn't be the kind to give guys like Chris the time of day.

Clearly she isn't so different from the majority of Hollywood, who so are so willing to overlook criminal records when it means creating hype and a quick buck.

Chris Brown is getting the 'Oh, that wacky Charlie' treatment by Hollywood.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well. I will say that working class British people have a much more lenient attitude toward abusive men. They still believe in the hoary old "boys will be boys," oh-he-didn't-mean-it-he-just-had-a-few-too-many school of thought.

    Gross, I know.

And I just hate Brown's constant sh*t-eating "who, me?" grin. I hate him, period.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Wow, I did not know that Chris Brown was the guy singing the duet with Jordin Sparks on "No Air". I live and learn. I like Jordin and I like that song. Still think Chris is a d-bag. And I swear he's singing "breeve" instead of "breathe"!

As far as Adele is concerned, we'll see how it plays out. It could be a rumor, or it could be an idea that never even comes to fruition.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Wheres @just curious/fist Browns opinion on all this?

    ReplyDelete
  67. If this is true, then I am disappointed in Adele.

    ReplyDelete
  68. This was all "for face". There is no info that verifies that they are going to work together.
