Blind Item #3

This A list female talk show host needs rehab. The amount of drugs and drink needed to satisfy her everyday is getting out of control and she is getting harder and harder to handle or manage or keep sober long enough to do her show.

    1. Girls, she's all talk, that's her schtick. I met her at a meet and great after a show. She was sweet, sober and surprisingly intelligent. I'm sure she induldges but as much as she works, I don't see this being her. I say Mrs Giffords its the bill.

    2. She was "on". She is NOT sweet. In fact, the complete opposite. The people in Andre's town can't stand her

  5. Handler FTW.

If she's such an incredible b* b/c of the booze & drugs, I hope she gets well soon.

If she's just a b* who just likes booze & drugs, karma, baby.

    {Public service message: some celebs rub some people the wrong way. Not liking Chelsea Handler does not make one anti-woman.}

I knew Chelsea about a decade ago before she was really famous, and I can personally attest to the fact that she is a great human being and a loyal friend. She has set up college trust funds for every single one of her nieces and nephews. How many of us can say we've done that?

      Delete
    2. @digbydog, if I made the money she does, of course I would and good for her for taking care of her family but she still comes across as mean and bitter.

      Delete
    3. Knowing someone 15 years ago and knowing them as they stand in the present can leave a lot of room for disparity. It's quite possible that she could've spiraled at this point to uphold the personality she portrays. While it's wonderful that she set her nieces and nephews up for college, it doesn't negate the possibility of a personal crisis. Good people hit rough patches all the time.

I just find it amusing that people without any knowledge of the person feel so comfortable judging them so completely. As if.

  6. I like Chelsea Handler, thats the first time I've said I like someone here in I dont know how long lol ---she often jokes about being a drunk but there is always a deeper truth in that type of joke. She has talent and charisma---hope she can battle her demons

Nah, it's Handler. She needs to get help or she'll lose that show.

  11. I don't hate or like her. But she looks pretty skanky all the time. She could be fresher.

  12. Chelsea Handler for the win, Alex. I saw her at Sunset Beach, André Balazs' Hotel/Bar/Restaurant this Summer, slumped down behind the DJ booth, swiqqing straight vodka from the bottle. It was funny and sad at the same time. I'm a big fan, and hope she gets help.

Chelsea Handler. And I can't stand her drunken bitch shtick. She's rude, obnoxious, unprofessional, goes for the low brow most insulting/irrating/grating comments/humor. I like low brow humor, but not when it's done in an insulting and vicious way.

  18. Chelsea was just on Kathy Griffith's show. She was absolutely rude and obnoxious. I vote for her.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Absolutely can not stand her. When did she stop wearing makeup? Cuz she needs to start with that. Many women look drop dead gorgeous w/o makeup, but not this b*. *ends rant*

    ReplyDelete
  20. But when she was on Kathy G's show she was so sober compared to Chris Noth who was embarrassingly drunk. I watch Chelsea all the time and have not noticed she not being able to keep it together. Well I have 17 unwatched on my DVR so maybe I have not watched in a bit.

  30. I want to say Katie Couric, but I'm sure it's Chelsea Handler. I liked her until I read one of her books. She needs a ghost writer stat! She's one of those people who thinks she is smarter than what she is.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This MUST be Chelsea. I like her but can see why some might not. Her sense of humour is an acquired taste. If you have read any of her books, you probably know that drinking is not her problem. I think she is a sociopath. She might call them "pranks", but some of the stuff she pulls on her friends is sadistic. I wouldn't want to be her "friend" because I don't think she is capable of being that invested in someone else other than herself. And THAT is what makes her funny to me.

    ReplyDelete
  32. well she certainly hangs with a very hard partying crowd

    ReplyDelete
  33. Agree with it being Chelsea & I like her too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Same here. Love Chelsea but my first thought was her for this blind. I seriously love how she's so rah rah with her girlfriends or just females in general when she interviews them. I thought she held her own with Piers. And no shade to those who feel otherwise. Everyone looks at things differently and it's okay to give your POV.

  35. I like her too. I know it's not highbrow humor but something about her just cracks me up. Hope the person gets help.

  37. I know there's a lot of Chelsea hate out there, but go to iTunes & download Marc Maron's WTF podcast episode with Chelsea. It's free. After listening to that, I now know that Chelsea is a ridiculously generous person who helps a LOT of people. Seriously. If you don't like Chelsea after that, it's on you! Just kidding, of course, but I'd be shocked! I really would like to be her friend!

  40. WOW, lots of Chelsea love out there! I can't see it myself. She's mean-spirited and not especially funny or even insightful. I just can't bring myself to care about her.

BTW, Giada is the blowjob queen. Not Rachael. She doesn't even go to the swinger clubs with her hubby!

  41. I immediately thought Wendy Williams, I don't know why because Chelsea Handler is a much better guess. Chelsea looks about 15 years older than she says she is. I think it's a combo of lying, booze and drugs.

  46. Anyone can do Chelsea Handler's act:

    1. Talk about how much you like vodka.
    2. Make bitchy comments about celebrities and try to pass it off as "wit".
    3. Throw in some Yiddish words.
    4. Use a Hispanic midget as a prop.
    5. If all else fails, rely on the comics on your round table to make the jokes. Ta Da!

Actually, I've heard her early books were good and I know she was a very good guest on Loveline, but that was early on. Her act was always limited, but now it's just tired. And to clarify, I do think the bitchiness is her act and not necessarily how she is in real life.

  50. Chelsea Lover here but I am also tired of her mean girl jokes. She can be funny, she needs to realize she can do it without making everyone around her feel like shit. I feel so bad for Brad Womack sometimes, the shit she says about him on national TV and in books is hurtful

  55. I can totally see this being Chelsea which makes me pretty sad actually. I've been a fan of hers for years and have even got the chance to meet her once after one of her shows for one of her book tours. She was really funny and nice. My husband bought me the tickets and was there with me for the meet and greet and I think he was slightly uncomfortable so she joked with him and really chatted him up. I always hoped a lot of her drinking and drug humor was exaggerated but I guess not!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Since Rosie O'Donnell is out of the talk-show business, I can't hazard a guess.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Not sure if Wendy Williams is considered an A list talk show host:

"During her hot-topics segment, Wendy Williams, had an emotional moment, while discussing the death of Whitney Houston. Wendy discussed her own battles with substance abuse (crack and alcohol)"

Oprah would definitely be considered A list. Not sure if she still has a talk show, but she still does interviews, most recently Lance Armstrong.

The only reason I don't think it is Handler is because they just gave her a new multi-million dollar studio makeover, which I doubt the studio would have done if they were concerned about controlling her.

Which post were you whispering about me in? One of my many flaws is vanity.

  62. Another PSA: not liking one or sevwral women dose not make you anti-women. Holding them to a *much* higher standard then men does. So does despising a woman because she "stopped wearing makeup".

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Haha! I never said I "despise" Handler because she "stopped wearing makeup", her comedy sucks, she acts like a complete bitch, & I was stating my opinion, that she looks horrible w/o makeup. So when you make another PSA about being anti-women, make sure you understand the statement made about something & someone before quoting them next time.

  63. What Tuxedo Cat said. She's gotten way meaner over the years.

I still want this to be Kathie Lee, but it's likely Chelsea.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I have no clue about the winner of the game. Both teams are evenly matched, solid defenses & running games, also big play ability from the passing attacks. SF has a QB who is hot right now, Balt has a QB that has been on a slow ascension to being a superstar.

That brings me to "which defense can make a big play to swing the momentum of the game." In that match up, I'll have to take Baltimore. Future Hall of Famer and tremendous ball hawk Ed Reed against a QB that has only started a handful of games. Hopefully if given the opportunity, Reed can hold on to the ball because Kaepernick really zings it around.

So I guess I think Baltimore will win, but certainly not enough to put money on it. I am in a couple modest block pools and will probably just root for scoring. I don't love or hate either team, so it is tough to drum up emotional investment.

  67. @Mangobars, if your dog can type, quit your job and get him on Leno, stat! (Digby is an adorable name, btw!)

As the author of the original PSA, let me just say that it was made in response to someone who implied that anyone who doesn't like Chandler's humour is OK with guys having the same humor, which is BS, at least on my part.

Someone rubbing you the wrong way has nothing to do with what they're packing 'twixt their nethers. (Well, unless it does, haha.)

"holding women to a *much* higher standard"? I hold the people I know, respect, and/or admire to a higher standard, not a talk show host. Hell, I think Barbara Walters has her own not inconsiderable share of b* but the whole world loves her. It's not a double standard, it's a matter of pure and simple OPINION.

PS: I think Kathy Griffin is hilarious. She's snarky without being mean, and she does some really stupid stuff (hands off the Silver Fox!), but she doesn't rub me the wrong way. She looks like crap without makeup and even jokes about it. Maybe her humour's a lot like Chelsea's and I just don't realize it because she doesn't rub me the wrong way like Chelsea does.

    So.... opinion.

  69. Count- I thought you were up here in the PAC West. Didn't Jets win a super bowel a few years ago? The Seahawks haven't been this close since Hasselback first came on he scene. So glad he is gone and I am really happy with our new coach.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Nah, I am North East. If you consider 1969 a few years ago, then yes. Sadly I was not alive to see that. The greatest highlight a Jet has had during my lifetime was Namath making that poor broad cringe while drunkenly hounding her for a kiss.

I've been there Joe. I felt the pain of that rejection many times. Buck up Champ. Couple more drinks will erase the memory and lower your standards. You'll get a kiss before closing time.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ahhhh. They went to Super Bowl in 2010 but didn't win. That's what I was thinking of.

    ReplyDelete
  72. They lost the AFC championship game 2x to Indy and Pitt in 2010 and 2011, respectively. Jets haven't been to the Super Bowl since that 1969 game. Last 2 years they have started the downward spiral as they have been lousy at evaluating talent and been misguided in extending some contracts.

I knew this season was doomed as soon as they brought in T-bo. Reports now indicate they will try to trade him before releasing him. At this point I don't think a Canadian football team would trade a dish of poutine for him. Maybe they could trade him to an Australian rules team for a couple Crocodile Dundee VHS tapes.

  73. This has to be Chelsea, although I'm not sure I believe she's going through some new downward spiral. I thought I was the only person here that liked Chelsea. Not just her by herself but I enjoy her show. The round table comedians are my favorite part and have introduced me to a lot of new comedian. I watch/listen/have seen a ton of stand up and I honestly don't think she is any meaner than most comedians out there. She has def said stuff that made me cringe, but most comedians do. I also think comedy is subjective. There are some people out there that think Weird Al and the guy with the puppets are hilarious, but to each their own. I'm glad to hear some inside info regarding her family, especially since she is so often demonized for hating children b/c she is childless.
