Normally at this time I try and find a video or trailer for a new movie or something interesting involving a celebrity. Today there are two links to The Hollywood Reporter who have excerpts from the new book written by Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright about Scientology. The first link details some really disturbing relationship between the church, John Travolta and his handler. This one will make you hate Scientology if you don;t already. Click here for the excerpt.
The other one is about Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman and how Nicole almost managed to get Tom away from the church and how Miscavige hated her for it and how they brought Tom back into the church and got rid of Nicole. Click here for the excerpt.
Wow, Travolta was pretty in his heyday. What a sad life he's lived since.
ReplyDeleteCliff notes please.
ReplyDeleteSorry blame all you want Cruise and Travolta are both weak where would Scientology be with their money ?
ReplyDeleteoops....without their money
ReplyDeletefor Tom Cruise and Nicole,it's not a news.
ReplyDeleteThere are some papers on how the Scientology killed their couple and how they were a real couple
Before I read this I want to say- I love Tony Manero; this pic is why I loved Johnny T.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I read the TC one yesterday. The relationship with him and Miscavige is so disturbing. Talk about two of the most narcissistic, self-involved, egomaniacs on the planet. They truly think they're some kind of gods, with all their money and power and fancy motorcycles and staff. Blurgh. It would make a great movie actually.
ReplyDeleteCue the clams in 3...2...1...
ReplyDelete@Jolene Jolene:
ReplyDeleteit's really all about egos!
Miscavige is Patrick Bateman (the most narcissistic,self-involved,egomaniac character that i know )
Ahhh, the Travolta I grew up with, what a good looking guy!
ReplyDeleteHeh if you read the comments on the links (at least the 2nd) CoS members out in full force!

ReplyDeleteThis is the same story with different names. Those freaks have been ruining lives since they started their cult and it's the same story after story. I thought by Berlin taking away the title of religion and labeling it organized crime (or something like that) that it would all start to crumble. Somehow they remain standing after all that has come out about them.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Diana Nyland played his mom in the bubble movie? That's a little weird......sad story. Didn't finish reading the excerpt here yet, but I want to.
ReplyDeleteIs this what's at the root of the "she knows what she did" insinuations that Tom was making at the time he divorced Nicole?? So yeah, she tried to get you out of the clutches of an evil cult for your sake and your kids ultimate welfare.. WHAT A BITCH!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI wanna watch Grease now...
ReplyDeleteOh, he was so beautiful back then! Grease, SNF, Urban Cowboy, Staying Alive, Perfect. He was still a hottie in Look Who's Talking too.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, scary stuff here.
Every time I see him now the only thing that keeps my attention is his "hair".
DeleteThe second link doesn't say that much about Nicole, though. It's mostly about Tom and David.
ReplyDeleteJust have to chime in with the above comments: now all you youngsters can see why us oldsters have a soft spot in our hearts for JT. He was the best lookin' dude back then, and was the biggest star on the planet, I'd say.
ReplyDeleteIt galls me that they are still tax free.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fucking crazy!! nooo wayy
ReplyDeleteJT (Travolta) was the original JT (no offense to Timberlake), and he was HOT! We wanted every guy to have those dimples and that hair! In Grease, he was IT! I may be dating myself (and I'm also Italian), so in my book, he was perfect. Just absolutely the perfect man!
ReplyDeleteI forgot about Tom's 'she knows what she did' statement about Nicole. Wonder if that will ever come to light as to what it really meant. He's such a douche.
Sorry, don't care to read more, I already hate them. Die church of scientology, just go die.
ReplyDeletewhat a sad pieces of sheeple, that jt & tc.
ReplyDeleteeven if they wanted to...could they ever leave?

hey, i'm old and i never found travolta attractive. didn't like him then. don't like him now.
ReplyDeleteThat hair and the way he wore those jeans in Welcome Back, Kotter! Not to mention the tight white pants in SNF... ;)
ReplyDeleteJohn was mighty hot with that dimple in his chin. I had a major crush on Vinnie Barbarino. When he sang on American Bandstand, my cousins and I all about died. Times, they change...suckily so.
