Jessica Pare is pretty skinny, but you'd never know it by looking at her in that dress.

ReplyDeletehelen hunt had some major work done. when i saw her up close last night i couldn't believe it. she kind of needed it but it seems drastic to me.
jlaw's dress did have a detachable bottom which....detached. horrible thing to happen---bad design, IMO.
note to all of them: don't wear trick dresses to awards!

I think Jennifer was pulling up her dress so she wouldn't trip on the hem and accidentally showed the mesh that connected the dress. I don't *think* it was as bad as it looked. At least she seemed to be wearing full undergarments!

Jennifers dress is layered, you can see it other photos, but she must have picked up the top layer when she was trying to move and thus showed us her thighs!!! The Horror!

Dior is insisting JLaw's dress was layers of tulle and satin and there was no wardrobe malfunction. Perhaps it should have come with instructions on how to lift the skirt(s) to climb stairs?
Yes I think it was the way she held it and the layer showed because as soon as she got to the top all was well.

I' sorry. Helen Hunt is debuting her Nicole Kidman frozen forehead look. Gah. So much botox I'm surprised she didn't succumb to botulism posioning. Marion Cotillard had the most noteworthy dress. Stunning navy and white.

I liked Marion's dress too along with Nina, Viola, Nicole ( great dress didn't like the whole look) and I thought Helen Hunt looked pretty. I hated Julie Bowens, Jessica Pave, January Jones and Naya.

I thought hair in general looked kind of bad last night. They said on the red carpet show that it had been rainy--I wonder if that made everyone droopy or frizzy. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Julia Stiles' dress, and she's usually gorgeous, but I think it's too heavy a hand with the makeup. When you start having kids and getting busy with other things, it's easy to get outdated with the makeup.

ReplyDeleteOmg, Hilaria has a comedy/tragedy face. Do you see it? Her face doesn't match. One side is saying, 'yeah, what the fuck is the other side, thinking? I know, right?!'

Alec is following the “go lighter to cover gray instead of darker” rule, but the color almost looks GREEN. He probably figures that he doesn’t need to get his roots done as often if he’s lighter, but he just looks desperate, unnatural and washed-out. What’s funny is that Alec’s original color is a little darker than baby-shit brown (remember him in Beetlejuice?). Soon after that movie the Hollywood machine got their hooks into him and he reappeared with jet black hair so his blue eyes would pop. He’s been raven haired for so long that anything else looks weird to us.
ReplyDeleteJessica Pare is pregnant, or she has her period or she’s PMS-ing big time. I just popped over to the DM to look at her more closely at different angles. There is NO way that she looked in the mirror and thought she looked good. I can feel her pain just by looking at her: Her boobs are so swollen and she’s bloated to all hell and she’s trying to give herself a waist with a fugly belt but that horrible green Grecian style dress is not doing her any favors. Her face is an oil slick so she packed-on a pound of powder, but her hair isn’t cooperating so she pulled it off her face. Which is a nightmare for Miss Donkey Kong because all we notice are her horrible Chicklet teeth! It actually looks like she used Invisalign or a retainer during the hiatus because her teeth aren’t crowded anymore. Unfortunately, now they’re floating in her mouth like jagged Tic Tacs.
Anyway, whatever is going on with Miss Megan there are HORMONES involved and she should have scrubbed the event and rode it out in front of the TV on the couch…under a comforter…with a warm walnut brownie topped with ice cream and hot fudge…and big bowl of macaroni and cheese…and a glass of Pinot Noir.
My rant is over. Time to go lay down with the hot water bottle!
I don't think it was a wardrobe malfunction for JLaw. I read she had layers and layers on her dress, and I think it was tulle underneath them. I think one part just got hiked up a bit.
ReplyDeleteJessica Chastain is gorgeous. She needs to wear a dress to accentuate her coloring and her body. Same for Anne Hathaway. I really haven't liked either of their fashion choices for the past award ceremonies.
I don't have great taste so I was wondering if I would be the only one loving Nina's dress, but maybe my taste isn't that bad after all?

Nina normally dresses like she is going to the prom at fancy events but she was PERFECT last night! The bangs look good on her as well. I was getting very tired of her hair curtain.

Unless one is trying to get guys' attention, then it's a good thing.
I used to think Julia Stiles was so pretty back in the 10 Things day. She just did not age well from a teenager at all. She always looks so bloated to me.
