ReplyDeleteOkay, I have to preface my remarks with the truth in advertising: Never read the books or saw the movies. Our kids are too young to be into it, my 17-year old nephew (who lives with me) mocks it with me, and I went through my "vampires are hot" phase with Anne Rice. (It's all about the Zombies at my house these days. *pets WiiU*)
DeleteI really believe that a lot of actors' performance can made or broken by the director. There are so many actors that can go from brilliant to meh from one role to the other. If the director was weak or more interested in trying to pull a performance from the crappy lead actors, she could easily have been left floundering in the role.
I agree. I will also add that imo not much could be done to save a lousy script.

ReplyDeleteIf you watch Damian Lewis in The Forsyte Saga miniseries, you'll hate him. He plays such a distasteful character that I want to slap him in the face whenever he comes on the screen.

DeleteWow, Ashley Greene has great hair. -- That hairstyle and colour really is flattering on Amber Heard. -- Ice looks normal to me but Coco looks sort of sad. Maybe they are still fighting a bit. I wish they'd start a family. There comes a point in some relationships where it becomes empty without them.

ReplyDeleteI should have qualified what I said. Sorry about that. I meant that some people after a few years of marriage feel they want more than just each other... I definitely didn't mean it was a way to cure a relationship by any means.
Thanks Tuxedo for clarifying. As a couple struggling with infertility I took offense to your comment and almost replied something nasty before thinking its probably not what you meant. Its nice when someone proves you right in a good way.
