Vanessa Hudgeons must have a high monthly paps bill. There is no other explanation for her being photographed so often still.

ReplyDeleteThat painting is horrendous. The painter is obviously talented, but they did not flatter Kate in the least.
I cannot believe that they allowed that portrait to be released and didn't redo it. Did the artist have her pose while she was still ill from her hospital stay?

Uggs are comfy. So are yoga pants. I've been known to wear yoga pants with a cute top and heels to dinner. Expandable pants are key for pigging out.

DeleteI totally agree that Kate's portrait is too dark, but I feel it really went wrong around her left cheek area. The right side of her face (her right, not our right) looks like her; the left side doesn't, IMO.

ReplyDeleteFrufra is correct. Ms Gimenez was the 80+ lady who decided to fix Ecce Homo, or the Fresco Jesus which had been slowly rotting in a Zaragoza church for over 100 years.

Am I the only one that thinks Taylor Lautner looks cute with that girl and that possibly, just possibly he's into her? That twinkle in his eye is either for her- or some hot guy walking by his car. Also- I finally broke down and got Emu boots, because they're made in AUS and not China like Uggs. And they are delicious and my formerly frozen toes thank me for it. Why people in LA think they need them is beyond me, but this New England girl is loving th squishy heat these little lambkins produce. Ahhhhhhh....

Yes, the portraits seems to have been worked out by Cecilia Giménez who, totally OT, presented the last 12 bells (las doce campanadas) in new year's eve in a Spanish TV network (neox, if you are interested, 1% of audience, btw), she is rentabilizing the masterpiece she made with the Borja (village in Zaragoza, Spain) ecce homo.

All of the VS angels stand like that, in that exaggerated posture which I guess is supposed to be flattering?! In heels, no less. Seriously, they're doing it in every photo and every appearance. It must be in their contracts. I hope VS is going to pay to fix their spinal problems in a couple of years! Hell, they probably have pain already.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like Kate, just ten years from now (or after having her first ever real job: motherhood). At least some royal or representative for the family "okayed" the end result; you know the "unveiling" is not the first time the family or subject sees the portrait... for obvious reasons. Either way they will have a new one made soon due to public response.

ReplyDeleteUggs are the best! Mine lasted from 7th grade to 29 years old. How many other shoes can last that long? Plus I dare you to find a better pair of shoes for walking on the beach. The sand can't get in, even if your feet get a little wet the moisture can't get through, your ankles are encased in warm soft fur, no drafts or sand getting in anywhere! Camping, early school mornings, beach walking, running to the store, and they look cute with jeans, what's not to love? Sure they're not $500, foot cutting, foot cramping, freezing cold, easy to slip and fall in, easy to twist an ankle in, lower back cramping, blood blister creating, s&m bondage for your feet and won't make strangers drool at you and imagine you in bed with them, but why would you want that anyways?

ReplyDeleteI wonder if the portrait of Kate is supposed to be able to represent her for years to come. So they put some age on it so that, in 30 years when people look at it, people don't crack up about how young she looks.
That photobombing via mirror has become a thing, with the main difference being nudity. People will list a piece of furniture on Craiglist or eBay, get naked, then photograph the furniture, being sure their naked selves show up in a mirror or other reflection.
